Welcome back Classic MLB1. I have enjoyed your videos for years. We need archivers like you to diligently track the wonderful history of baseball and educate in the process.

The music on these highlights were absolutely fabulous especially the ones used during the Tigers-Yankees and A's-Angels highlights. The Angels theme fit perfectly it sounded like a funky angel theme with the halo sounds. Disco music over sports highlights from the mid-70s through the mid-80s was fantastic.

I especially LOVE the TWIB uploads. Keep 'em coming! This Week in Baseball neatly encapsulates the highlights through each season. I grew up on that show. Much of my love for the game of baseball is as a direct result of Mel Allen's brilliant narration of the highlights from each week in baseball.

Music during Tigers and Yankees highlights sounds like type of music used for chase scenes on CHIPS. 2:12

It did sound like it would be used in the chase scene of a 70s or early 80s cop TV drama. That's why I really liked it sounded funky.

Does anybody the name of the song played at 7:22 for the Angels highlights against the A's? Disco King is the one that's being played during the Tigers-Yanks highlights.

Sparky Malarkey couldn't say enough in praise of Gibby when he arrived in Detroit, going so far as calling him "The next Mickey Mantle."
