    I am on a pursuit to find footage of every Phillies game ever broadcast on tv. Clips like this are invaluable on my journey. Thank you. If anyone reading this has a channel or trove of Phillies footage please let me know

    Tom Seaver driving away in his own Cadillac. Love it. He's certainly well off. But definitely not uber rich. Back when the common person could still relate to the professional athlete.

    • @1983jblack
      @1983jblack 6 лет назад +3

      Seaver did ride away in a limo (Cadillac Fleetwood Seventy Five). But at least people back then were within 10 times a superstar's salary, unlike now where baseball players make 500 times more than the average person.

      A lot of players had jobs in the off-season back in the day.That doesn't happen anymore.

    Watched TWIB every Saturday with my little brother. I remember this because the Red Sox were so prominent. We were on cloud 9.

    Carl Yastrzemski was a one man wrecking crew in 1977. Yaz seemed to get more clutch as he got older. What a slugger.... hell, if the Sox got Seaver instead of the Reds, they would've won it all in 77 & 78. Billy Martin should've stayed away from Steinbrenner after 78.

      The two worst trades in Mets history.
      1. Trading Tom Seaver to the Reds.
      2. Nolan Ryan traded to the Angels for Jim Fergosi.
