- The new Holiday Classic is upon us. We went back to the theater for a second helping so that we could properly discuss this film in full spoiler discussion. Also, sidenote, thank you to my wonderful wife for not telling me how stupid my hair looked for the first 30 minutes of this video… love you babe ❤️
Here is some info about the channel:
Greeting ghouls and ghosts! Our names are Jason and Kali, and we are the horror couple of your dreams- or nightmares! Jason has been a film nut for over 30 years, and Kali has a hyper-fixation with horror and slashers. Together we spend most of our waking life watching films and obsessing over them. We record movie reviews and discussions weekly, and love watching and talking about both lesser known and popular films in the horror genre. Occasionally we also review comic books, video games, television series, and novels. Additionally, we also enjoy making short horror videos. He actually was the real first governor of plymouth, Crazy the name is so fitting. Thank you guys for the vid !
This is so cool
I really enjoyed this movie. I love that it was basically all practical effects (except the dumpster kill) can’t wait to see what they do with the sequel
Awesome nod to 80s slasher. Saw with my daughter yesterday, we had the whole theater to ourselves. Will never look at a shopping cart the same again
Haha
The woman that got her face stuck to the freezer door is apparently a real descendant of John Carver. Eli Roth said it in a few interviews. I also thought it was funny that the killer completely loses the accent when the voice mod is on 😂
Oh wow
Thanksgiving 2 back for seconds
A sequel is actually being made
Gonna be a good franchise
Cat on the table, blowing noses into the mic, awkward moments where one of the hosts is suddenly all alone in front the camera talking awkwardly, it's mandatory viewing and among the many reasons why we LOVE this channel...
Haha. Yup. As unprofessional as they come
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I love animals so it got me started on that tack, and really, it couldn't be any other way; the review material is top-tier.
Absolutely loved thanksgiving, so glad we are getting a sequel, really cool kills and like the look of John carver
Godzilla Minus One was great. a def must watch on the big screen.the score is beautiful. i hope the subtitles don’t dissuade people from going.
i feel the trampoline scene lasted seconds. i would’ve liked that to go on for a bit.
i def feel this took the ending of My Bloody Valentine as it’s own as well. it’ll explain his getaway.
You guys should ware clothing next Thanksgiving that looks a little bloody, saying it’s not cranberry sauce lol.
Looking forward to the Thanksgiving sequel as well, really had a lot of fun with this first entry. Definitely go check out Godzilla: Minus One in theaters! Easily one of the best in the 70 year long franchise, outstanding almost from start to finish. Curious to see what you guys think of it, I had one or two issues that brought it down a touch but for the most part I was impressed as fuck.
Can’t wait
The fact that this movie has only made $30,000,000 seems like an injustice
100000%
Thanksgiving II: The Next Slice
Finally got to watch this review because the movie finally hit vod. I know it's lame that I didn't get to theatres but it's a huge fail to not have this streaming at least by Christmas. Everyone including myself would have been down to drop 20 bucks on it. I almost wanted to wait until next year out of principle but that was impossible, i had to see it. And goddamn I'm glad I did. This was fucking phenomenal. Damn near perfect holiday slasher if not a perfect slasher. John Carver is an instant legend in my book
He sure is
That's a BRUTAL intro!🤘
Like "The Tripper", we have unruley mobs,a patriot costumed as a historical leader, comical premise,if not absurd, & violent deaths.Which is better? I'm on the fence...whaty'athink?
hell yeah!
Yayayayayay!!! I have to stop doing my reports to give this a full, respectful listen 🫶🏽🖤🪓🩸🦃
Ah thanks love
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 absolutely! And yeah, I really loved it but there definitely couldve been even more kills, they had way too many survivors (like the gun dealer guy and his high school buddy, I thought they would have been fodder) and I do wish that cheerleader scene had been crueler haha. And the little pieces of comedy in it kind of took me out momentarily- like in the beginning with the riot. I think I was expecting a more My Bloody Valentine 3D feel, which had such a more sinister tone but this movie is superior by far. And the dinner scene towards the end was so good but I agree it couldve gone longer. I was wondering if there were possibly two killers at one point, im super excited for the sequel.
This movie was a good time for sure, and it turns out John Carver actually was a real person who looked just like the mask in the movie.
I saw! So cool
🦃👀
I could see them dropping the budget as the sequels go on. I wonder if this series could go on like a Scream or Halloween and be taken seriously by studios. Or if it’ll go the way of Hellraiser and Pumpkinhead. I don’t want it to be done after 1 sequel.
Definitely want a few of them
update: the cello was surprisingly really good
😱
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 I did a review of it
0:06 that's from Don't Go In The House, right ??. 0:18 definitely sure I haven't seen this.
Yes. And it is welcome to spring break, aka nightmare beach
New camera? New settings? Looks different…
Nope
are you guys going to see the cello this weekend?
The trailer looks like it is trying to hide the film. Not a good sign.
@@sinistercinemareviews5420 nothing is shown in it at all, but it's playing right next to me and the director and cast has me interested.
What a coincidence there's a clip of Pieces in this review since it's one of Eli Roth favourite horror movie. And I think Thanksgiving is like Eli's homage to Pieces.
Why? Because the death scenes is nasty but also over the top and the vibe of Thanksgiving is somewhat serious but also silly, basically just like Pieces.
Definitely can see the connections
Have you seen the A24 Thanksgiving horror movie Krisha (2015)? I watched it a month ago I like it a lot.
Yeah. And Kristy
We have black friday days and bargain weeks but they happen on a normal somewhat more people kind of way. Not storming a store .. but hey im from belguim its socialism here not really capatalism so for those 50 bucks off its really not a big deal here.
Personally, i did found the movie a bit repetetive the whodunnit scream,i know what you did last summer and so on style.for me it was an ok watch..BLOODRAGE AL THE WAY MY FRIEND 😉
Blood rage ❤️❤️❤️
0:14 where's the psychedelic looking clip from ?
Motel hell
@@sinistercinemareviews5420goddamn, I've only seen motel hell once ages ago I only barely remember the chainsaw pig mask fight near the end. This must be the part when the people's buried in the field get hypnotised before they're killed as I recall.
The movie was decent .
Make one better
