I love when you hear how this was done. SO hugh knew the second he said he's stopping wolverine then deadpool came out in 2018 that he made a mistake. Ryan was struggling for years to get an idea for deadpool 3, really getting stumped for what could trump it. But it was hugh who was driving and then just pulled over called Ryan and asked if he had a script because he wanted in on the next Deadpool film, and it was the day Ryan was on his way to pitch an idea. So he just went "yes" and thus the film idea came in.

From the opening credits done to NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye"(my favorite NSYNC song), seeing the return of Loki's TVA, to all of the great cameo appearances. Chris Evans as Johnny Storm, and Wesley Snipes returning as Blade were my favorite cameos. For more Ryan Reynolds I highly recommend the 2009 "The Proposal". And for more Hugh Jackman, I highly recommend the 2017 "The Greatest Showman" if you haven't seen either movie yet. Looking forward to the next reaction. 😊

I'm so excited & I'm writing this before I watch ur reaction so I can say how delighted not only to see a vid from u, but that it would be this movie. Me & my 10yo daughter are huge fans of Marvel & especially great fans of Deadpool & the fox og xmen so we went on opening night & got to experience one of the most fun audience group to share a movie with...one lil thing il share is that when I saw Blade come out I had to have said "F**k yeah" when my brain thought I said heck yeah cause my 10yo hit me & said mommy u cussed!! lol. I bout lost my mind then u have him saying his iconic line of some motherf**kers still trying to ice skate uphill & I practically cried being a huge Blade fan that I also remember seeing at the theater on a date night & many times since! I truly hope u get all the references & inside fan jokes of this movie cause this movie was made for the fans it's as simple as that!! I've heard some folks criticize it for plot reasons, but who cares if ur a fan it's the best movie ever made to honor us!! But it's the way Wesley Snipes delivers his lines, and the general badassery that makes me also say "F*ck yeah!" ;) Literally all I know about Blade is Wesley Snipes, vampiers, and Traci Lords lol. I just thought the "ice skate uphill" was funny on its own, but does that reference something in particular? Even missing so many things, I thought this movie was an absolute BLAST. Also, to your point, I was in TOTAL AGREEMENT with you about the plot. I didn't end up including the comments in the final edit because I already talk too much, but twice I said something along the lines of, "This movie is so much fun, I don't even care if it has a plot. I could just watch them talk and fight." lol
@DavidvsFilm so at a moment in Blade where Wesley is fighting the big bad this was a very iconic improvised line that Wesley said, but back then it was some mother... always trying to ice skate uphill & so in this movie we actually not only got his return but his famous line with the tweak of still trying , not always! Another big one then for u was the Blade trinity tension bw Wesley & Ryan that idk if u ever heard about that Ryan even says to him u never liked me when Blade said I don't like u at their first meeting...honestly there's so many more that u may wanna go check out a good breakdown of it if ur interested cause I could write so much stuff & im in no way an expert! I will say I dud call the fact that when Chris Evans appeared on screen & u can ask my daughter I knew he was gonna be Jonny storm cause we were very obviously in the fox void universe & that's such a Deadpool thing to do that when he was all wrapped up I told my daughter I bet he's Johnny & what a payoff that was!!!❤️💞❤️edit: forgot to say f**k yeah now u gotta watch at least the first Blade & Logan is a must too! Happy New Year! 🎉🎉 Ryan Reynolds was born to play Deadpool, I can't inagine anyone else in the role. Do watch all the films you missed and then rewatch this one, the level of detail and inside humor is incredible!
There is absolutely no doubt that the entire insult monologue scene at the end of the credits started out as Chris Evans doing an impersonation of Dennis Leary...you can clearly see that Evans is still doing a sort of impersonation of him even still. LOL
The only question I have is: did you watch the Fox Marvel comic book movie tribute while the credits were rolling? Many people have said that this movie is like a love letter to the superheroes of the Fox Marvel universe, and the end credits ‘behind the scenes’ montage really put a stamp on that letter and sent it. There were an absolute metric ton of references in this movie, but you got the majority of them. I have to say that you are officially the ONLY person who I have enjoyed watching the reaction to for this movie who didn’t watch all the previous marvel movies. Because even though you didn’t see them all, you know enough about them to rock it. Literally no one else I’ve seen has been able to do that and they are completely ignorant of the “history“ of the Marvel movies and they don’t know enough to know they are missing out, which is infuriating to me as someone who loves this stuff. It’s akin to an Italian watching someone put ketchup on their pasta and calling it spaghetti. It’s just wrong. Channing Tatum was supposed to be the original Gambit, but the filming had bad timing for him. Then he was supposed to be the Gambit from then on out with his own movie/movies with the hopes that he would’ve been as big as Wolverine. For more than a decade, he has been trying to play Gambit, because he felt a connection to that character since they are from the same place, “Cajun country” Louisiana, and because of that he has been throwing playing cards since he was a kid because he loved the character so much. But nothing was ever working out for him, and he was truly heartbroken over it. But then Ryan called… And Gambit “made a name“ for himself. 😁 On one of the monitors in the TVA at the end, credit scene showed that Gambit survived the battle and a “marvel sparkle circle“ opened up for him. That indicates that he has a way to enter the MCU in the future if the stars align. Ryan knew how hard it was for him to get Deadpool off the ground and make it correctly, he wanted to make sure Channing got that chance too. I thought that was beautiful. It’s because Channing Tatum’s Gambit never got screen time is why this Gambit didn’t know where he came from. 😉 One massive Easter egg that a lot of people miss, because it’s incredibly easy to, are the references to the movie Trains, Planes, And Automobiles. That’s Ryan’s favorite movie of all time. In the wasteland as they are walking up the hill and about to meet Dog Pool when they pass the burnt out station wagon from that movie with John Candy’s trunk sitting in front of it. Also, the mug in the beginning, that you very impressively noticed came from the dude in the TVA, very few people pick up on the fact that that’s where that mug came from 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻, the mug said “I like me“. That was what John Candy said in that movie, as he was explaining himself to Steve Martin, near the end. The interesting behind the scenes factoid I know for this movie is that the fight scene with all the heroes in the wasteland was all set to film and all of the actors showed up and were in shape and ready to go, but then the writer strike hit and they couldn’t film for SIX months. Which means all those people had to stay in shape for an additional six months, because they didn’t know when the strike was going to end. Jennifer Garner talked about how difficult that was for her to keep that up for so long, and I’m sure it was that way for everybody else, too. The little Easter eggs that I think you may have missed was during the “One Shot” fight scene with the Deadpool corp, the sign on the side of the bus, said Stan Lee Steemer, like Stanley, Steemer, but it had a picture of Stan Lee, and it was spelled the way his name is spelled. So that was his cameo, kind of. Also, just before that fight, when Cassandra (also kudos for recognizing her as princess Diana, you’re the first person I’ve scene, who noticed that, too 🙌🏻) blasted Deadpool and Wolverine through that store front that was call “Liefeld: Just Feet”, that was a reference to one of the biggest artist for Marvel, Rob Liefeld, who drew some iconic images for Marvel Comics, but funny enough… He never could draw feet. And he became more known for that, because his feet in the comics were so terrible, but the rest of his work was awesome. 🤣🤣🤣 Poor guy. 😜 I absolutely adore this movie, too. I saw it in the theater five times. It truly was a masterpiece, especially for the more subtle fourth wall breaking in which you couldn’t tell if it was Deadpool and Wolverine talking or Ryan and Hugh. And I feel your pain… There is some thing about the timing of when the first round of “Like a Prayer“ started that is when I always had to pee. I had to leave the theater the first time I was there, so I had missed that one shot fight scene the first time around. But I prepared myself for the other four times… 😜 And I was REALLY grateful that a bathroom was right across the hall from my theater when the movie ended. Because I almost didn’t make it every time! 🫢😬😅 Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and Marc!!! May 2025 be filled with love, laughter, joy, and prosperity. Much love, everybody!!! 🥳😘💙💙💙

I am a huge fan of 21 and 22 Jump Street, and fun fact that you probably already know, those were both shot in New Orleans, in my home state of Louisiana. So I like all that Cajun tie in :) Oh last thing about you having to walk out for the restroom.. every time I see a movie in the theater, I intentionally go to the bathoom at least once. Love it! Such an amazing movie. Ryan is so funny. The surprises! What I didn't expect were the dramatic moments but I should have. The love and respect (somewhat) to the Fox era of the marvel movies. Hugh was great as Wolverine over all the years. But I really could go for some Henry Cavil for a few movies or cameos. Hot damn!
It's almost a crime to watch this before Logan... almost. GOATED superhero movie. The real crime here is that you skipped through the credits and missed the carefully curated tribute to the Fox X-Men universe. That's what this movie was, a love letter to those movies.
"Everybody's watching this."...everybody but you, REALLY need to watch Logan lol. Calverine is the best. Tatum as Gambit is in reference to a movie that never got of the ground, that's why he says something about never existing. Dafne Keen is a great talent. She was perfect in Logan, and one of the (maybe) three palatable parts of The Acolyte. Her and Logan's scenes in this were amazing, if it centered on that a little more then it would have been the film perfection. While it would have been nice to include more of the previous cast and a little more focus on Logan, my one real gripe with this movie is his sudden feeling of being lost and the break up. I hate when between movies a seemingly perfect relationship has done a 180. Though they do try to address it through out the movie, still would have liked a movie where we saw the start of the fragmentation.

Oh my goodness...what an amazing treat for the New Year!!! I was so hoping u would post a vid soon & look what appears the minute I get home from New Years dinner w the fam. I'm so excited & I'm writing this before I watch ur reaction so I can say how delighted not only to see a vid from u, but that it would be this movie. Me & my 10yo daughter are huge fans of Marvel & especially great fans of Deadpool & the fox og xmen so we went on opening night & got to experience one of the most fun audience group to share a movie with...one lil thing il share is that when I saw Blade come out I had to have said "F**k yeah" when my brain thought I said heck yeah cause my 10yo hit me & said mommy u cussed!! lol. I bout lost my mind then u have him saying his iconic line of some motherf**kers still trying to ice skate uphill & I practically cried being a huge Blade fan that I also remember seeing at the theater on a date night & many times since! I truly hope u get all the references & inside fan jokes of this movie cause this movie was made for the fans it's as simple as that!! I've heard some folks criticize it for plot reasons, but who cares if ur a fan it's the best movie ever made to honor us!! Yeah, so I have not seen the Blade movies, and there's a good chance I didn't catch any of the references from those beyond the little I know. But it's the way Wesley Snipes delivers his lines, and the general badassery that makes me also say "F*ck yeah!" ;) Literally all I know about Blade is Wesley Snipes, vampiers, and Traci Lords lol. I just thought the "ice skate uphill" was funny on its own, but does that reference something in particular?
Even missing so many things, I thought this movie was an absolute BLAST. Also, to your point, I was in TOTAL AGREEMENT with you about the plot. I didn't end up including the comments in the final edit because I already talk too much, but twice I said something along the lines of, "This movie is so much fun, I don't even care if it has a plot. I could just watch them talk and fight." lol
@DavidvsFilm so at a moment in Blade where Wesley is fighting the big bad this was a very iconic improvised line that Wesley said, but back then it was some mother... always trying to ice skate uphill & so in this movie we actually not only got his return but his famous line with the tweak of still trying , not always! Another big one then for u was the Blade trinity tension bw Wesley & Ryan that idk if u ever heard about that Ryan even says to him u never liked me when Blade said I don't like u at their first meeting...honestly there's so many more that u may wanna go check out a good breakdown of it if ur interested cause I could write so much stuff & im in no way an expert! I will say I dud call the fact that when Chris Evans appeared on screen & u can ask my daughter I knew he was gonna be Jonny storm cause we were very obviously in the fox void universe & that's such a Deadpool thing to do that when he was all wrapped up I told my daughter I bet he's Johnny & what a payoff that was!!!❤️💞❤️edit: forgot to say f**k yeah now u gotta watch at least the first Blade & Logan is a must too! Two iconic movies for very diff reasons!!❤️💞❤️

The only question I have is: did you watch the Fox Marvel comic book movie tribute while the credits were rolling? Many people have said that this movie is like a love letter to the superheroes of the Fox Marvel universe, and the end credits ‘behind the scenes’ montage really put a stamp on that letter and sent it.
There were an absolute metric ton of references in this movie, but you got the majority of them. I have to say that you are officially the ONLY person who I have enjoyed watching the reaction to for this movie who didn’t watch all the previous marvel movies. Because even though you didn’t see them all, you know enough about them to rock it. Literally no one else I’ve seen has been able to do that and they are completely ignorant of the “history“ of the Marvel movies and they don’t know enough to know they are missing out, which is infuriating to me as someone who loves this stuff. It’s akin to an Italian watching someone put ketchup on their pasta and calling it spaghetti. It’s just wrong.
Channing Tatum was supposed to be the original Gambit, but the filming had bad timing for him. Then he was supposed to be the Gambit from then on out with his own movie/movies with the hopes that he would’ve been as big as Wolverine. For more than a decade, he has been trying to play Gambit, because he felt a connection to that character since they are from the same place, “Cajun country” Louisiana, and because of that he has been throwing playing cards since he was a kid because he loved the character so much. But nothing was ever working out for him, and he was truly heartbroken over it. But then Ryan called… And Gambit “made a name“ for himself. 😁 On one of the monitors in the TVA at the end, credit scene showed that Gambit survived the battle and a “marvel sparkle circle“ opened up for him. That indicates that he has a way to enter the MCU in the future if the stars align. Ryan knew how hard it was for him to get Deadpool off the ground and make it correctly, he wanted to make sure Channing got that chance too. I thought that was beautiful. It’s because Channing Tatum’s Gambit never got screen time is why this Gambit didn’t know where he came from. 😉
One massive Easter egg that a lot of people miss, because it’s incredibly easy to, are the references to the movie Trains, Planes, And Automobiles. That’s Ryan’s favorite movie of all time. In the wasteland as they are walking up the hill and about to meet Dog Pool when they pass the burnt out station wagon from that movie with John Candy’s trunk sitting in front of it. Also, the mug in the beginning, that you very impressively noticed came from the dude in the TVA, very few people pick up on the fact that that’s where that mug came from 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻👍🏻, the mug said “I like me“. That was what John Candy said in that movie, as he was explaining himself to Steve Martin, near the end.
The interesting behind the scenes factoid I know for this movie is that the fight scene with all the heroes in the wasteland was all set to film and all of the actors showed up and were in shape and ready to go, but then the writer strike hit and they couldn’t film for SIX months. Which means all those people had to stay in shape for an additional six months, because they didn’t know when the strike was going to end. Jennifer Garner talked about how difficult that was for her to keep that up for so long, and I’m sure it was that way for everybody else, too.
The little Easter eggs that I think you may have missed was during the “One Shot” fight scene with the Deadpool corp, the sign on the side of the bus, said Stan Lee Steemer, like Stanley, Steemer, but it had a picture of Stan Lee, and it was spelled the way his name is spelled. So that was his cameo, kind of. Also, just before that fight, when Cassandra (also kudos for recognizing her as princess Diana, you’re the first person I’ve scene, who noticed that, too 🙌🏻) blasted Deadpool and Wolverine through that store front that was call “Liefeld: Just Feet”, that was a reference to one of the biggest artist for Marvel, Rob Liefeld, who drew some iconic images for Marvel Comics, but funny enough… He never could draw feet. And he became more known for that, because his feet in the comics were so terrible, but the rest of his work was awesome. 🤣🤣🤣 Poor guy. 😜
I absolutely adore this movie, too. I saw it in the theater five times. It truly was a masterpiece, especially for the more subtle fourth wall breaking in which you couldn’t tell if it was Deadpool and Wolverine talking or Ryan and Hugh. And I feel your pain… There is some thing about the timing of when the first round of “Like a Prayer“ started that is when I always had to pee. I had to leave the theater the first time I was there, so I had missed that one shot fight scene the first time around. But I prepared myself for the other four times… 😜 And I was REALLY grateful that a bathroom was right across the hall from my theater when the movie ended. Because I almost didn’t make it every time! 🫢😬😅

I am a huge fan of 21 and 22 Jump Street, and fun fact that you probably already know, those were both shot in New Orleans, in my home state of Louisiana. So I like all that Cajun tie in :)
Oh last thing about you having to walk out for the restroom.. every time I see a movie in the theater, I intentionally go to the bathoom at least once. That way I can justify rewatching it later because I never technically saw the whole thing.

Love it! Such an amazing movie. Ryan is so funny. The surprises! What I didn't expect were the dramatic moments but I should have. The love and respect (somewhat) to the Fox era of the marvel movies. Hugh was great as Wolverine over all the years. But I really could go for some Henry Cavil for a few movies or cameos. Hot damn!

It's almost a crime to watch this before Logan... almost. GOATED superhero movie. The real crime here is that you skipped through the credits and missed the carefully curated tribute to the Fox X-Men universe. That's what this movie was, a love letter to those movies.

Tatum as Gambit is in reference to a movie that never got of the ground, that's why he says something about never existing.
Dafne Keen is a great talent. She was perfect in Logan, and one of the (maybe) three palatable parts of The Acolyte. Her and Logan's scenes in this were amazing, if it centered on that a little more then it would have been the film perfection.
While it would have been nice to include more of the previous cast and a little more focus on Logan, my one real gripe with this movie is his sudden feeling of being lost and the break up. I hate when between movies a seemingly perfect relationship has done a 180. Though they do try to address it through out the movie, still would have liked a movie where we saw the start of the fragmentation.

@@DavidvsFilm Both Silo and Severance are similar in that you have to be patient as they give you clues to what is going on. Both have that mystery element. Give both of them a chance when you have time! Silo is based on a book trilogy, I think. I can’t remember the author’s name.
