When I grew up there, there were no fences. Just giant eucalyptus trees. And Mike Pompilio, who lived in a shack on Vasco Road. He used to work behind the original Louis store on East Avenue
We lived next door to a Rob Livermore in the late 90s, and a Livermore was in the same middle school in the 80s.. he was a year ahead of me.
There were TWO (2) Western Pacific Railroads, one of which merged with the Central Pacific. This one was from the 1860's. The second came through Livermore in 1909/1910.
Livermore has element on the chemical periodic table name after it.
Love my city.
Never knew about air station where the lab is now
Love this city been here sense 1962 as an small child
Wow so you’ve seen it change drastically!
Yea you said it..."DRASTICALLY " That's not a good thing!
Depends on who you ask. But I understand your point of view.
Would you elaborate on what changed ...and what became better and worse ...so curious
Did you ever eat at John’s Char Burger.
John was my father
Believe U got it wrong - I was born raised there 54 to 84 -- used 2 teach this in school back at fifth street school - ready - Robert Livermore founded - had a little shack/house in the field not far from Portola Av near the freeway somewhere near the rock house which is also very old !!!
This guy is a realtor, he only wants to find clients by way of making this video, he couldn't care less about livermore....
I’m from the Tri-Valley and live in Livermore. Just curious if we know each other since you know so much about me 😂. I also happen to love where we live with a passion, Mr. Better off Dead
@@LivingintheTriValley Then plug your business at the end of your video and not at the beginning....
Also, check your facts Mr. passion, I believe you got multiple a wee off laddy
I went to 5th Street school 81 84 we had the shoe with the wing and the bell out front I think the principal name was Mr hazlehofer
I'm pretty sure his name was just "Robert" as he was an Englishman who immigrated to California from England.
Exactly but everyone wants to glorify the mexicans in California....
Yep
Well he did migrate to MEXICAN California in 1822 and became a MEXICAN citizen, furthermore he married a MEXICAN woman. You know what else is crazy, MEXICANS founded California’s most popular cities. So much for glorifying them huh?
He in 2024 ...looking for old railway .. street car footage in livermore
Saying tri valley and San Ramon valley is redundant. The Tri valley includes Livermore, Amador and San Ramon valley.
Some people consider the Tri-Valley to just be Livermore, Pleasanton, and Dublin. It helps those people know that I also work outside of those 3 cities.
No. Tri valley. Not Tri City. Tri valley is Livermore, Pleasanton, Dublin, San Ramon, Danville and maybe Alamo.
Way down at $900,000. Way way down.
Keep Out Newcomers!!! We want to save Livermore and not turn it in to a Dublin!! We miss the old town feel - its growing way to FAST and causing terrible traffic and crime! Unheard of only a few years back...
Livermore and P-town have tried to implement no growth policies since the 70`s -- LOL-- oh- yeah when I graduated from L high in 72 there was only 17 K in town !!!
It’s true, it’s growing like crazy. It’s one of the reasons my family recently moved. But is honestly a beautiful town and a great place to grow up.
@@unitycatalog dude are you serious? Wow
@@central_scrutinizr yea I'm serious
You can't stop progress.
&900,000 range to $5,000,000. What a joke. We bought our house in 1964 for $17,000.04 bedroom. It’s way overpriced.
