Lmaoooo@ Vaccum our hair it’s true though. I’ve been doing this and my hair is easier to manage and manipulate. I did a high bun today on blown out hair and was in love. Being able to do something so simple and less amount of time felt good.
Your hair looked sooo gorgeous with that color and length, you can rock any look. But yeah seriously, the constant wet styling and stretching wet hair without blow drying it was causing thinning and the build up was causing scalp issues. I switched to less heavy greasy products, started washing with sulfates, and stopped fearing products that aren’t pandering to coily curly hair and intentionally ADDED silicone conditioners to stop breakage and reduce severe tangling. My hair and scalp are happy now. Won’t ever spend 500 on a blow dryer though 💀Thanks as always Cyn ❤

I have used the Revair, all be it infrequently, since I purchased the Revair in late 2019 and haven’t seen any damage but you have a point about cumulative damage. I have no idea how this works over decades and no idea of what damage has occurred that the naked eye can see and while I agree that it’s hard to let it go because it’s expensive I do want to try and learn how to use a blowdrier and round brush or paddle brush because there’s decades and decades of the affect of this technique. I’ve been watching your videos for the last 2 months and one of the things I’ve kept is that we have to be aware of long term use , research and results. I’ll be joining the 7 day challenge soon so I can learn. Thanks Cyn 🙏🏾
Yes, wait until a product is on the market for atleast 5 years seeing results with pros n cons. They only publish the good, the truth never goes viral.
Excited to see your relaxer video. Never did a big chop. Even when I went natural for 11 years. Now I’m back to relaxed hair the last 3 years. Love my natural hair and my relaxed hair. I went back relaxed because I was tired of the RUclipsrs doing big chop and I was a product junky. Now I am also no product junky. Thank you for constantly informing us and telling us the truth.
Let me tell you, lmaoooo!!!!! I've been using the Conair silver bird foreverrrrrr, and I've never had heat damage. The Revair never made sense to me. The fact that the hair and heat are in a closed chamber, the chances of heat damage is greater. I had a nurse talk me into getting one. And here I go, going against my own thoughts, and I purchased it. Girl, I fried my hair. The mids of my hair were so damn fried!!! When I sat in my stylists chair, she asked me wtf happened? The only thing I changed in my routine was the drier. I had to chop off my hair off. I was bra strap length, and I'm at a long bob. I should've gone with my gut feeling and mind my damn business! Lmao DO NOT GET THAT DAMN DRIER! LOL P.S. I returned the drier back.
Sis you weren’t the only one I got it too. I didn’t use it that much because I was busy breaking off my hair with wash n gos but yeah I’m happy that I still have hair at this point going through both team natural and team natural 2.0 with wash n go stylists like BCG.
Separately do you still like the silver bird? I’m debating getting that one but it has been discounted so they said they are not manufacturing more though companies are still selling it. Is it pretty heavy like some comments say?
@IamCynDoll it sure isn't. I was looking for information on heat damage with the revair, and I didn't see anything. I said, "Oh this company is sneaky!" I experienced the damage the first time I used it, and I immediately contacted the company. Return to sender!!!!
@@PreppyFay12I love it. Its a little heavy but not OD heavy like that darn nozzle from The Revair. Also, I've been using the drier for years. So, I've grown accustom to the weight.
500 dollar glory hole, LOL 😅. YOU ARE SO CONVINCING, I’m so glad I found you girl!!!!!!!! I have a Rev Air, so far so good, I must be using it right, but I will be using it less. Thank you for your videos.
I've learned so much since I came across your videos. I can see a difference in my hair. Hopefully I can get this spot in the top of my head to grow back.
Keep up the good work and be patient sis! 🙏🏾 Give your body the love and grace it needs to heal and grow new cells. Now your job is to feed your body in a way that increases your hair growth cell production in the gut. You got this.❤️
The thing that is wild to me is that black women on YT all want to look at one thing as the source of their hair growth or its downfall (like mielle) and it is everything altogether that leads to success or failure with your hair growth journey. It took me finding your channel to stop thinking that heat was the enemy with my hair. What actually caused the MOST damage was wash n gos and trying to color my hair at home. I'd panic and then just go get more products instead of looking at my habits. I am so glad I found this channel. I've had to completely cut several inches of my daughter's hair because of my team natural habits damaged her hair so badly. I had to apologize to her for not taking good care of her hair.We also used the Rev Air and I found that it didn't actually blow her hair out well. It would leave her ends super dry and matted. When you don't use a brunch or comb while blow drying and then try to comb your hair, you are RIPPING your ends off because they have dried in a frizzy and curled state all clumped together and stretched out. No one talks about it. But our Rev Air is in the corner. We stopped using it.
‼️‼️‼️‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾They will talk about it for those commission checks but where are the real videos on long term damage. There are more women with damaged hair than healthy hair from using this tool. No one is talking about it? One should ask why? I’m so glad you were able to see for yourself but sorry you wasted so much money.❤️
@@IamCynDoll I finally saw one big channel tell the truth about how it leaves your ends crunchy. But she down played it. But if you have super super think and tightly curled hair it is impossible to comb it and style it with out causing breakage. She glossed over the biggest immediate risk for damage in my opinion.
Urgh I need your 7 day challenge! When I have the extra funds it’s the first thing I’m getting! I’m ready to stop having split ends and breakage 😭😭😭😭 so much shedding so many split ends! I’m ready to retain length and be SIMPLE!!
Im glad i didnt get a the rev air dryer smh...blk women using too many products. My hair grew by doing nothing and using nothing but shampoo and comb dry
I big chopped once, in 1995. But I had grown my relaxer out for over a year so it wasn’t that much of a big chop. When I had heat damage from a silk press in 2017 I didn’t big chop. Just grew it out and slowly trimmed the ends off. Took almost 4 years to grow out. I definitely wouldn’t big chop. I hate how I look with short hair. Your team natural list is hilarious. I’ve done more than half the stuff on that list. LOL! I don’t do most of them anymore. When you know better you do better. LOL!
Dang Cyn! I wish you made this video this time last year, could’ve saved me a bunch of money. No wonder my hair has been the same length for over a year, I thought my stylist was overdoing it with my trims.🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️🤦🏾♀️ I joined the seven day challenge last year and my hair feels wonderful, it’s just the trims that have been holding me back. This thing has been destroying my ends.

On point as usual 💯 🎉 Not really tryna come for anybody in particular...ok maybe just a lil bit 🤭 you mentioned setbacks & that made me think of that youtuber SheRea DelSol. I have used it for a couple of years every few months for a trim maintenance and haven’t had any issues with it so far or my texture which is quite coarse and naturally gray. ( age 64). Only found a few strands of hair in the filter. Sorry to those who have heat damage after working so hard to maintain your hair”s health.
@@IamCynDoll Agreed, I have experienced a lot after being relaxed and natural for different decades sometimes using heat and sometimes never for years. Thank you for the warning as it’s always helpful. 🙏🏾😀
I bought the revair, used it once, and it made my hair soooo dry I had to return it immediately. I use a regular blow dryer now once a week and my hair is the longest it’s ever been 🥳 I just bought a round brush too!
I love your content Cyn! ❤My sister recommended your content to me this month and I’ve binged. I’ve been following the blowout professor (buzzcut white man) for over a year and loved the simplicity of professional redken shampoo conditioner. No3 olaplex, pureology leave in spray conditioner and one drop of olaplex 7 for the ends only. Occasionally Moroccan oil hair mask. Just goes to show that hair is hair. Message not messenger! when I saw your content I was excited that it’s similar to what I’ve been doing but scientific and porosity focused. I wash my hair every 10 - 14 days and my hair is healthy and grows!! Keep sharing your knowledge.
No wonder my hair started breaking off like crazy when I started using the Revlon blow dry brush (paddle brush version). Time to go back to the basix!!
Natural 15 years. only 2 big chops. 2010 first chop off the relaxer.... 2023 was bored with my hair so I got bleach blond highlights and cut off the sides so I had a fro-hawk with lines. and designs on the side. i get regular trims.
Cynn the thing is the hair has so much grease and butter and coconut oil in it that’s why when we blow dry our hair we get heat damage. We usually say our mama used to put grease on our hair and our hair was on our back but we forget our mamas washed our hair with shampoos that have sulfate and all the things they say it’s not good for our hair now. I just realized that I put grease on my girls hair even when I used team natural clarifying shampoo it doesn’t take the grease and the oil out until I used a clarifying shampoo that has sulfate and get the job done in one wash.😂 now I am planning to clarify once a month
CynCyn,the price of the blow drier was a red flag for me. Being advertised by RUclipsrs who don't know no more about the tool than the people who are buying them. What's worse than that is if a cosmetologist will tell folks to buy it & they know it's not healthy especially for non professional women. I don't know why they call it "team natural" with all the rules they have. 😂
The revair never appealed to me personally but I had a friend who got it. I felt that it didnt properly stretch the ends leaving them tangled and frizzy. She also said she let her mom in law use it and there was tons of hair in there afterwards. This makes sense to me that it would be pulling out hair. The woman in the video also appears to have a bald spot 😢 Edit: I scream anytime you call the revair a glory hole 🤣🤣🤣
Cyn, so how do you feel about the Tymo hair dryer? I was thinking about getting it. I did purchase RevAir but I did not spend as much on it as some. I've used it a few times on my daughter because she so tender headed and hates me to blow dry. RevAir was my saving grace...or so I thought. I purchased before discovering your channel...damn, damn, damn ( in my Florida Evans voice).
I just did a 2nd big chop in 2021. Now I'm back heat damaged. I feel like every time my hair gets 14/15 inches, I get damage. It's so frustrating. I don't know if it's from getting braids or from other ppl flat ironing it for ponytails. I'm trying my best not to big chop again.
I've never had a desire to buy that hair dryer, ever. I refuse to stick my hair down a "glory hole." I'm good with my blow dryer. Oh, I agree with you; there is no such thing as black hair products. If the hair is prone to dryness or oiliness or has damage, use shampoos and conditioners formulated for your hair's condition; it's just that simple. Excellent video, Ms. Cyn!!!👍❤️
I’m talking to the ones that knew better. If the shoe doesn’t fit don’t wear it. I’m sorry but the directions have always been there no one read them. They listened to RUclipsrs instead of the directions in front of them on the product in front of them. I’m sorry ignoring directions and following the leader is dumb. My channel is not for people who are easily offended. Thanks for watching!
Now see, I thought RevAir was HEATLESS! I thought that was the whole point of using a RevAir over a blow dryer. This is proof once again that these companies can easily lead us astray and get our money because we don't understand hair, and we are emotional about it. $500 to burn up your hair?! TUH!
No other black influencers lied to you not the brand. They never said it was heatless. We have to pay attention. There’s a high and low heat setting.❤️
I found you a little less than a year ago? And I told myself that if I retain all my length, my hair is gonna be touching my tiddies 😂 well guess what? My hair is past my tiddies!!!!
Hey cyn! I’ve been watching your RUclips videos for a couple of weeks and ever since I have stopped using multiple products in my hair, oils, and deep conditioning with homemade ingredients. Everything has been great so far, except I am not sure if my hair follicles are healing from using ACV weekly. I was using ACV to help me with my dandruff but it started making my hair thinner and I had so much hair falling out. Please let me know what I can do about this situation. Will the thinning stop eventually or should I go see a professional? Also I don’t know why I’m still seeing so much dandruff in my hair if I’m shampooing now and not using so many products. PLEASE HELP!!!🥺
I have done 6 big chops, but not because of team natural. 2 big chops were because of team natural. The other 4 were because of brain surgery, and I love very short hair since I was 13 years old. I know for a fact that you don't hate natural hair. I would never grow my hair out if it wasn't for my husband. The 2 big chops I did do following team natural were because of trying to wear wash and goes and twist outs. Those single strand knots were awful. I will never ever go back to doing the things team natural does.
Big Blessings Sister, thank You very Much. They said drench outr hair in water all day and no blow-dryer...tyhhh...hair grow long but split 🪓 like a 🍌 banana peel ,every which way. Thank you 4 real
Is Design Essential STS system a texture release system? What is the difference between a keratin treatment and a texture release treatment? How long do each treatment type last? Do sulfates shorten the life of a keratin treatment or texture release treatment?
I never understood the hype with the revair. Everytime I see someone use it, it looks like it's pulling their hair. It looked painful to me. This is very unfortunate. Ya know a hard head leads to hair loss and heat damage 😆
Hi Cyn Do you have a blow dryer recommendation for people who aren’t able and or coordinated enough to use a regular blow dryer and round brush together? I have the Revlon paddle brush blow dryer and I’m starting to realize problems with my hair - breakage seems like my hair is getting shorter instead of retaining length.
@@IamCynDoll I’m shopping and doing my homework and I went to your Amazon store front in the blow out tools section for your favorite things and there is a Conair Infinity Pro item called The Knot Doctor. Do you no longer recommend this? Oh there’s more by Hot tools and Revlon. So non of these?
Do you have a video about what products are best for dry scalp? I have been struggling with dryscalp since childhood, and the only this I was do was greasing my scalp. Can't wait for that vid. When clients ask about that texure release/texturizer 😭 They be upset! Even sadder, most of them get this info from licensed stylist.
I got you. Thanks fit hearing me‼️❤️
Let me tell you, lmaoooo!!!!! LOL
None of this is anywhere online! They only post the good thing. When we know better we do better.
Everything works until it doesn’t. When it stops working, remember you were warned.
I like simplicity. What you are showing is simple. Never been a product junky...can't afford it. Nor could I afford a "glory hole" hair dryer. 😅
I got you! That glory hole is a waste of money.🤣🤣🤣
The way Cyn Doll was smiling gleefully in the thumbnail brought me here😉🤣🤣...
Great video, as always.
You got this.❤️
Since l found your wisdom, l ain't listening to no one else. From Britain UK sis 🎉
Thanks for listening and thinking for yourself! Let me know if you have any video request.
It never apealed to me and the price was Outrageous!!!!!!!
I’m so glad.❤️
Exactly, we have to pay attention.
My mom used to cuss me out about wanting to leave my hair wet. She was not for it! I’m getting myself a round brush!
Listen to mama, she knows more than these RUclipsrs.
Urgh I need your 7 day challenge! When I have the extra funds it’s the first thing I’m getting! I’m ready to stop having split ends and breakage 😭😭😭😭 so much shedding so many split ends! I’m ready to retain length and be SIMPLE!!
I’m so glad you are ready to learn! Take your time, I’ll be here when your ready.
Im glad i didnt get a the rev air dryer smh...blk women using too many products. My hair grew by doing nothing and using nothing but shampoo and comb dry
Right!! Thanks so much for watching!
That blowdryer has flooded my RUclips ads for weeks now ,omg I’m happy I anit fold an get it 💯
I've trying to find out when it will be available in the 🇬🇧. Us there a problem with it?
It’s about money, use it at your own risk.
IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS!!!!!
Here you go boo‼️
I big chopped once, in 1995. But I had grown my relaxer out for over a year so it wasn’t that much of a big chop. When I had heat damage from a silk press in 2017 I didn’t big chop. Just grew it out and slowly trimmed the ends off. Took almost 4 years to grow out. I definitely wouldn’t big chop. I hate how I look with short hair. Your team natural list is hilarious. I’ve done more than half the stuff on that list. LOL! I don’t do most of them anymore. When you know better you do better. LOL!
Thanks so much for watching and sharing! People need to see this.❤️
I’ve been doing hair 27years and I knew that thing was a scam… the price and look alone was screaming NO.
‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Yeah I told you not to use it in the challenge years ago sis.

Cny, 🎉 I am so happy that I took out the time. To listen to your video on natural hair.
My hair has grown around the edges, thank you.. You're helpful! 🫂... lol. I'm using my own oil that god blesses me with!💃🏽❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for hearing me and doing the research for yourself.
On point as usual 💯 🎉 Not really tryna come for anybody in particular...ok maybe just a lil bit 🤭 you mentioned setbacks & that made me think of that youtuber SheRea DelSol. I'd love to see you do a case study video on her and other team natties who seem to be in a repetitive cycle of setbacks & big chops. All she ever does is wash n go's but can't seem to figure out why her ends keep breaking off. Same thing over & over but expecting different results; the literal definition of insanity. Watch her most recent vid, even ppl in her comments are telling her she's doing too much. I don't even know why she came up in my feed but issa whole circus over there. Lawd help em chile 😅
Thanks for watching. Coming soon, I haven’t heard of her before. Lawd these people.🤦🏾
I replied under her video that she and everyone in her comment section need to listen to Cyndoll for healthy hair.
Hair weather takes 6 months to 25 years to show up. Everything works until it doesnt. You were warned, thanks for watching!
@@IamCynDoll Agreed, I have experienced a lot after being relaxed and natural for different decades sometimes using heat and sometimes never for years. I have a decent routine being natural for 11 years and honestly since I’m 64, I can’t worry about 25 years from now LOL . Only if the good Lord blesses me with good health will I see 90! Thank you for the warning as it’s always helpful. 🙏🏾😀
Do what you feel.
Kudos to Cyn for getting us off the natural hair plantati0n! #NEXIT 😂❤
Yes! The curtain is up! I’m trying gurl‼️
I bought the revair, used it once, and it made my hair soooo dry I had to return it immediately. I use a regular blow dryer now once a week and my hair is the longest it’s ever been 🥳 I just bought a round brush too!
Thanks for sharing!! People act like it’s the best thing ever created. Just use a regular 20.00 blow dryer. Thanks so much for your transparency!

Ive been natural for a long time and i got heat damage from a silk press, soo im just becoming a straight natural im not chopping my whole head

‼️👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾Yes sis you got it.
Never made sense to pay all that money to stick your hair in a hole. Reinventing the wheel if you ask me.
A heated glory hole.
Lawd, I wish they would drink some milk. 🙈
The revair never appealed to me personally but I had a friend who got it. I felt that it didnt properly stretch the ends leaving them tangled and frizzy. She also said she let her mom in law use it and there was tons of hair in there afterwards. This makes sense to me that it would be pulling out hair.
The woman in the video also appears to have a bald spot 😢
Edit: I scream anytime you call the revair a glory hole 🤣🤣🤣
Yes because it’s pulling it out.
It’s a great one.❤️
I just did a 2nd big chop in 2021. Now I'm back heat damaged. I feel like every time my hair gets 14/15 inches, I get damage. It's so frustrating. I don't know if it's from getting braids or from other ppl flat ironing it for ponytails. I'm trying my best not to big chop again.
I've never had a desire to buy that
hair dryer, ever.
Cyn!!!👍❤️
Thank you! It’s simple but it works.👏🏾👏🏾 They try to fix problems that don’t exist.
Cyn, i love you & i agree with everything you're saying, except calling them dumb. They didn't know. With knowledge, they'll hopefully do better.
You really came through with this video. I was just wondering about this dryer. I'm going to save my coin.
Yes please, save your money. Buy a new tv!🤣🤣

😫I get that a lot. Thanks for watching love.
I love to see a video on texture release .

This video is 5 years old I don’t remember sorry. It’s easy to cut once it’s dried.
Thanks for hearing me and thinking for yourself I appreciate you.

They are fine. My preference is a regular blow dryer.
Can the avocado scrub be used in other areas of our body too?

I never understood the hype with the revair. Everytime I see someone use it, it looks like it's pulling their hair. It looked painful to me. This is very unfortunate. Ya know a hard head leads to hair loss and heat damage 😆
Smh I tried to warn people.
8:20 is that her real voice?
Hi Cyn
Do you have a blow dryer recommendation for people who aren’t able and or coordinated enough to use a regular blow dryer and round brush together? I have the Revlon paddle brush blow dryer and I’m starting to realize problems with my hair - breakage seems like my hair is getting shorter instead of retaining length.
No I only use regular blow dryers. Practice on a mannequin until you know what you’re doing. I don’t teach short cuts.
@@IamCynDoll Thanks

Do you have a video about what products are best for dry scalp? I have been struggling with dryscalp since childhood, and the only this I was do was greasing my scalp.
