Just thought of something, what if you just teleport someone back if they accidentally stepped on a landmine? Would they be safe? Would it still go off?
They would be safe but the mine would still blow up. As long as nobody is standing near the unfortunate soul standing on the mine that gets teleported, the guy teleported is safe themselves.
Thought I'd put here that this game actually has a mod where you can have a massive lobby if you wanted. Its extremely easy to download. Called Bigger Lobbies dont know if your group would do it but still thought I'd put it here for others and if you wish to use it to include bigger numbers of the gang.
I really like this one, but yeah, turrets being able to fire through multiple walls and creatures instagibbing the moment a door opens are issues that should have been solved in alpha.

Man, this game does a lot right but they really do beee to do something about the hazards, especially the turrets. As Tomato said the turrets should be more obvious and generally they need to add something that allows you to disable them or at the very least allow you to knock them over, and they should work against enemies so players are rewarded for leading hostiles into their line of sight. It would also be cool if you could somehow distract or temporarily scare away creatures. I get that the game is going for ‘this is a high risk job and you’re at the mercy of the environment’, but I feel like they should at least give the player some sort of defence against hazards. (The bridge collapsing was also kinda BS IMO but I think the hazards are more of an issue.)
Nah the turrets are probably the most ok threat in the game haha. They're super manageable but still fun and WILL get you if you get reckless, getting got by them before understanding them is just normal as is the case for most threats in the game. Play it for yourself and you'll see. There are defenses, 3 tools currently with various applications, one is still awaiting a behavior fix. Bridge is fun and communicates something important. The enemies that need some reworking imo are the forest keepers (either speed or method of alerting) and the timid roaming indoor enemies have frequently leading to situations where once you flee from one to the main exit, it will just be waiting for you there for the rest of the day.
Yeah, judging from the steam page on it, it released like, last week. So hopefully they add some of that stuff, this game is like first person Duskers, and Duskers is based, and this game is virtually first person co-op Duskers which is even more based.

Ya no the turrets are fine, if anything I wish you could use them to kill enemies in the base but it doesn't seem like they are able to do that. This game does need a rework on how it spawns monsters outside of the base though because some times it will just spawn three of those hounds that can run in and kill your guy in the ship without enough warning for them to even know that they spawned right outside, resulting in the guy in the ship basically being forced not to play the game anymore or die, and also will just spawn the Forest Giants that lock onto you as soon as they see you from an insane distance and will not stop chasing you, if you have any loot on you those giants are going to be as fast or faster then you and love spawn camping the ship making it literally impossible to get inside with anything. Now one of these threats would already be a huge problem but still would be something you could play around, the big dog monsters can't see shit but can hear you if you move too fast or if you talk over mic, and the forest giant can be kited by one guy running around if they drop their stuff and let their teammates pick it all up once they are gone, then just get teleported back. However it is more likely then not you will get several dogs spawned right on the ship along with one or two forest giants at the same time on the harder planets, even on the very starting planet I've had three hounds spawn in the short distance between the ship and the facility before on a non-eclipsed day and have landed ontop of two forest giants that ate the entire crew as soon as the door opened and we jumped over the railing, also you can't use one of the few defensive items you get, The Zap-gun, on the giants for some reason which is something I figured out the hard way. It's a really fun game, but the difficulty spike is stupidly massive and keeps you from exploring the newer planets because you never have enough resources to take on bigger threats or the money to travel there and even when you do some times the items you bought just don't work on those particular enemies. That's not even bringing up the bullshit that can happen INSIDE the base, like having enemies spawn or camp at the exit resulting in you insta-dying when you enter or getting killed when you are chased into the new enemy spawns that weren't there a minute ago.
