I have played this game on and off since it came out, watched a number of videos on it. But i have to say, this series has taught me more about the game then all of that combined! I hope you keep going for as long as you are happy to and i will watch them all. Thank you!
Crazy to think this game is almost 10 years old and it only got better with time. Dev is absolutely passionate about it and it came a long way since EA's first version.
When looking at OS for your game, you chose sloth shade 4 even though sloth shade 5 is already out... most of those users will move to the new OS by the time your game is done. its not a bad idea to look at the OS release schedule as well and skip development on OS's that will be replaced in the next year or so, you can reduce dev time and just port to them in the release month.
I believe Sage prioritised support over artist work due to the primary and secondary roles mechanic you explained to us previous episode 😜 That’s the reason your update wasn’t progressing.. 😢
I noticed you would struggle with the Art during when making the game as when you planned the game, you ticked the Lv 2 Audio to balance the game at 6:42 , However, when you hired the artist at 11:06, non were able to do Audio Lv 2. It's something you do need to keep an eye on, and I have fallen for that trap multiple times when hiring new employees.
Panda always start a project or contract work at the beginning of the month. If you start something at the end of the month it counts that month as well
I always start new software at the start of the month, but for contracts I don't really stress too much about it because the timeframes are pretty generous. :)
You're clearly good enough to play without exploiting the relationship with the co-founder, I don't understand why you would feel the need to do that in what looks to be an otherwise excellent playthrough.
It's definitely not something I needed to do, but as a series with a focus more on teaching people how to play, I feel like it's a good example of how co-founders can eat your profits. Totally respect if that's not something people want to do though!

I'm so glad you're finding value in it! :D
I’m so happy I can play this vicariously through you again! Looks too granular for me to try personally, but I always enjoy your way of playing ☺️

And still getting updates! The new project management is so much better. Being able to add existing products just for support is huge.

@10:55 Did you realize you just hired someone-Brittany-with the highrise trait? That means she likes an office up high, as in a skyscraper.
Sage is set to only do art if there's no support tasks. if you changed her responsibilites she wouldve completed the patch quickly.
I'm here, I'm clear(ly a member) & I'm ready for some Software Inc!
Woo!

That's absolutely the reason, I feel silly now hahaha thanks for pointing that out!
Remember the SCM!!!!! Let’s go you remembered to this time 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Hahaha we don't talk about it 🤣
I'm back and ready to start taking credit for things again 💪😂
Hahahaha what if I never do a live? :P
@@ChubbyPandaGGMYeah that was my solution too, must've just read my mind 🤷 😂
Hope you've been well mate!

Honestly, I didn't realize I needed level 2 audio at all. Definitely something to watch for haha. My bad!
I have never used project management. Always worried about the AI doing things. Didn't realise there was this much control.
It's a super useful tool! Saves so much micromanagement!

My mistake was not buying out/most of my other (2) founder’s stocks. Now they are worth $60M each 😅
How often do you release new videos in this series?
Every three days assuming nothing goes wrong haha
Reminder to myself - 24 mins in.
Couldn't even watch it all in one sitting huh? :P
@@ChubbyPandaGGM Depends how much lunch break I have without being disturbed :D
8:30 7.1 times their investment not percent of it (i imagine you jist misspoke but clarifying for new folks)
Woops, yep definitely just misspoke haha, although that would be a fantastic deal if they only wanted 7.1% of their investment back!
