Skil's newer designed Brushless 20V tools are so much better than previous Skil tools. I can't speak to all of them but I have the rear handle cordless circular saw that uses 2 20v batteries, and it is an absolute beast. The newer, premium saws are all top notch. And many of these 20v brushless tools, at least the newly designed ones are very good and as much as half the cost of competitors. Some of these brushless tools are top notch and cost as much as the cheaper brushed tools from other brands.
Super test. Szukałem czegoś na prezent. Miało być 3060 , 3065 lub 3070. Twój test zmienił wszystko. Led 360 jest najlepszy. Dziekuje i pozdrawiam z Polski Wrocław 😊
Thanks Phill, that looks a great piece of kit with some useful features and plenty of power ! I'll be interested to hear what you think of the other Skil tools too !
Cheers Andy 👍🏻 yea I would say this is my favourite impact driver so far. I also really like their combi drill and cordless Jigsaw so I might do a review on those in future.
I recently purchased quite a few skil tools to build a deck. I liked every tool i purchased except for the rubber button on impact driver, it gets pulled out of place some times. Im assuming it will eventually be gone, and should be redesigned
Hi, I did find the batteries to be slightly loose when fitted. I found this on all of the skill tools. Seems to be intentional although I am not sure why.
The batteries are compatible t erbauer batteries Phil..the erbauer 2amp has a plastic tab that stops it going on so just needs t be snipped off, but the erbauer 4&5amp doesn't have the plastic tab so they go straight on ..that Skil driver is also a quick insert ya don't need t pull-out the collet
I just wanna know how in the heck u got cases with urs??? I live in the southern US and we r not seeing any SKIL CASES!! I dont think we r even seeing this compact 20!? I am seeing new 2nd gen tools that have only been coming in since Dec!? I just got the 12v version of this along with the drill! And I absolutely love them both!!! The new gen or latest gen of SKIL tools is absolutely rocking it!!! This one has the halo even!! But their other new 20 doesnt have the halo at all!!?? We dont get that here!!?? Seems like the halo should be across the board!! Masterforce that exist in western and some noethern states here at some big box called Manerds!? Sells it and it is the best combo of FLEX AND SKIL!! IT'S LIKE FLEX WITH SKIL FEATURES!! THE ABSOLUTE BEST OF BOTH!! But in the south we dont have either the store nor the MF line! But we do have FLEX and SKIL and KOBALT which r all 3 made by same comp as MF!! And i dont get why when they put out all these awesome features on SKIL they did not transfer these great things to KOBALT and esp FLEX!! BUT WE HAVE NOT BEEN SEEING NOE GETTING ANY BAGS NOR CASES HERE AND IT HAS BEEN A HUGE BITCH OF MINE AND MANY HERE!! I LOVEEE THIS CASE AND WOULD LOVE TO HAVE IT!! BUT LOWES HAS DONE A POOR JOB OF HIGHLIGHTING AND SELLING SKIL!!! THEY HAVE NOT HAD MUCH OF THEIR LINE AND HAVE NOT PUSHED IT MUCH! The compact set is 49.99 for the drill 59.99 for the Impact that is just like ur 20 there! Their new gen is making me wanna do SKIL ACROSS THE BOARD!!! BIG AND 12! THEY LOOK THE BEST OF ANY!! PERFORM SUPER GREAT AND AS GOOD AS ANY ON THE MARKET!! AND HAVE THE BEST FEATURES!! NO ONE ELSE SEEMS TO HAVE THEIR FEATURES!!?? THEIR FEATURES SHOULD BE IN ON EVERY SINGLE TOOL SLASH BRAND!! Their OSMT 12v is like 59.99 rt now to! And i picked up the 12v circ for like 79.99 1st time on sale!! And their 20v big guys in a set is running like 90/99 rt now to! With batts and both and chargers to.... Damned good deal!! Cant beat that anywhere esp for their quality!! They and FLEX and Kobalt and MF all have had the 5/3 Warranty for yrs now!! Many here do! How in the heck did u get a case with this compact and set that u got!!?? I mean not seeing that here! But the little compact 12 is a copy or vv!? Tho they have big ones who do not have the halo!? Still dont get that!!?? Anyways it was nice to see that case!! Super nice case!! Wish all their tools came with cases bags etc... and that they sold a stack system here!!😮😮😮
I got the 12v brushless impact by Skil. Here's my take: Pros -The ring light is a stroke of genius, I'm surprised more tool manufacturers aren't doing this. It legitimately leaves no shadow on the faster you're driving, and it does it all with 1 light instead of the ~3 other tools usually have. -The battery platform has a built-in USB-A, meaning you can charge your phone off the battery. Other brands maybe sell a separate tool that lets you do what Skil's does out of the box. -The battery comes with a dust cover for when you're not using it. This is a brand that takes pride in their tools, and it's little stuff like this shows that. -Built in bit holder near the battery that can fit 2 driver bits (3 if you're resourceful), just another small touch that even I as a milwaukee enthusiast was delighted & surprised by. You never see neat little features like that on milwaukee stuff. -Good torque. -Very light, you hardly notice it on your belt. -Dirt cheap. (My one and only) Con -These things have absolutely no chill, and not in a good way. The driver is either going mid-speed, or it's going balls-to-the-wall, 100mph, all-in driving mode. The milwaukee drivers im used to allow you *much finer control. You can go very slow if necessary, or you can do that fastener reeeeal dirty. Not so with the skil driver, it's simply violent whether or not you want it to be 😂 I got the entire kit for $70. Charger, battery and all. But I would only recommend the thing to people with moderate experience driving fasteners. In the hands of a beginner starting out, this thing *will strip the hell out of many a Phillips screw - mark my words. But overall, if you know what you're doing, it's stylish, it works well, and it has a lot of unique QOL features you might enjoy.
@@kylethompson3507 Personally, id steer you toward the M18 brushless compact model from Milwaukee. Mostly because the 12 volt skil lacks power, and it has more delicate finger control. At 30 bucks more than the skil id say it’s worth it. That said, maybe the skil 18 volt has decent power as opposed to the 12v i have. Up to you.

Skil has been awesome. I am slowly selling all my m12 and Metabo tools as the Skil have fit the bill and more powerful.

Another fair and balanced review, looks like an excellent tool, thanks Phill.
Cheers John 👍🏻

Good total review. I think I’ll buy it tomorrow. Thanks.
Your welcome.

Cheers Barry yea I use it very often.

Yea you might have a point there. I also noticed with mine that that battery fit on the skil tools was slightly loose.
Hello, are there any loose batteries?
Hi, I did find the batteries to be slightly loose when fitted. I found this on all of the skill tools. Seems to be intentional although I am not sure why.
thanks for the answer, but is it a problem in use?
Hi Phill. Can you check if these batteries are the same as the Erbauer/Evolution EXT batteries?
They look similar although I don't think they are cross compatible. I tried a while back.
Can you adjust the torque settings on this drill?
Hi, It has speed settings although this is an impact driver not a drill.

Was thinking about getting one as my first impact driver honestly

Skil tools are as good as the big 3 at half the price..
They seem good to me.
longevity wise, not near milwaukee. dewalt and makita is a hit or miss if you want them to last over 2yrs of hard use
I am not sure longevity wise.
You know nothing about that haha..
@@ZombieHorror666 know cs i use my tools 6 days a week, 10-14hrs a day lol. imagine saying i know nothing about tools 😂
