Kudos to you, Rob. You've done an amazing job with this lazer. It turned out to be a very nice piece of work when you put it together. Even the waste was put to good use as detailing the top edge. A lick of paint and weathering will enhance it even more.
Excellent professional video thanks I’m amazed at what can be achieved with the laser cutter and a very high standard and the price is less than I expected great value
Thanks, appreciate your comments. The progress of technology really is incredible. Turns out I live opposite a guy who helped develop lasers in the early days, now they're on Amazon!
Interesting project, Rob, good to see the variety of things you've been lasering (is that a word?) I really do think one of these might well be the big purchase of the year, after some of the house move chaos has settled. How fine-detailed can this thing go?
It's pretty fine, I think the beam width is ~0.1mm^2 (official spec says "Spot Size: 0.16*0.14mm 100% Power / 0.06*0.05mm 3% Power"). I'm tempted to get the extension which makes the working area 400mm x 850mm so I can cut full buildings from a single sheet. Also maybe the rollers so I can engrave on cylinders.
Very interesting! I have to say the hat is perfect. Being a sloth, you won't have to worry about it running away.

Hopefully all the engines and rolling stock have enough clearance for the crate! By the way, beautiful craftsmanship!

Would you be interested in selling either the file or the building you’ve featured in this video. I’m after a low relief warehouse front. 😊

I don't think I have the skills for that kind of project at the moment. Maybe in the future.
What if you get a simple co co chassis and do a lazer cut class 20 if you wer to sell some for good price I would definitely buy oun
