This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this. I'm 54 and Video Games mean nothing to me. I am totally staggered & hypnotised by this. At first I didn't know what it was. I was hoping that one could buy Video Games just like this. Just a gentle amble through historic Cityscapes of the distant past. But I gather Assassins Creed is some kind of killing game? Do games exist that showcase this and only this beautful vista after vista? I am astonished and utterly amazed by this beauty. How on earth did the makers design this thing? Surely this cannot be an exact replica of every street & building in London of that time? Is it????
How would they have researched such an undertaking and how long would it take to create this? I am utterly stunned. If there were games (with no killing or violence) full of just this kind of thing I'd go out & buy a console tomorrow. Utterly captivating & beautful.
I'm with you on your comments and questions. But no one has replied!❤
There exist a genre in Games called 'Walking Simulator'. Maybe this is something for you. :)
I’m the same age and equally mesmerised. Never seen anything like this and gives a great insight to what it was like. The sounds and visuals match up perfectly, also. I now really believe, one day we will be able to sit in a small enclosed booth and be transported to places in history, visually but lifelike. Keep the realistic smells, mind you! 😂😂😂
Victorian London was renowned for this!
@@kylesanders3502 Sounds good! I love the Victorian era.
It doesn’t seem accurate to me. There is no sign of St James Palace or the Athenaeum or Northumberland House or the Smirke Building in Trafalgar Square or St Mary le Strand or Somerset House.
As a native Londoner I am amazed at the detail and accuracy of these environments. Many of the buildings shown still exist. Excellent!
the night one i guess, good long 4k video now, enjoy, its quite great in 4k actually
landmarks made of stone by the freemasons will always be there
Never mind the stunning modelling, rendering and animation, the amount of research that must have gone into it is unbeleivable.
This is what Ubisoft excels at with Assassin’s Creed it’s a shame that the gameplay (and story) of these games have gotten stagnant again over the years because these are the best models of historical cities I’ve seen anywhere in any form of media.
What London would’ve looked like when my grandparents, great grandparents and even my great great grandparents were around. Wow… we hail from Islington. My hubby works in Southwark. Some of those buildings still exist. Thank you for posting 🙏🏻
What I love is that I walk on a lot of these streets regularly - they aren't that different today
That's crazy yo
horse shit everywhere? or how we called it -- face of british women
not sure how i went from Cyberpunk 2077 to London 1868 but they're equally cool as hell.
2:13 Carriage overtakes in an intersection and straight-up runs a woman down. No one bats an eye.
14:38 Driver nods off. Carriage tries to overtake but collides with our wagon.
17:43 Man gets run down in the street. Our driver backs his wagon up and goes past. No one bats an eye.
18:38 Carriage collides with our wagon.
29:05 Some comically bad driving on everyone's part.
31:28 Man gets run down. Some comically bad driving by everyone to get around it, leading to TWO more pedestrians being run down immediately.
51:20 Both men in a wagon leap off at the same time while it's in motion.
52:24 Small boy is run down by a wagon but pops back up.
1:07:38 Our driver seem inclined to not only run a woman over but to chase her down when he misses.
Numerous cases of pedestrians walking right into the side of horses, wagons, and carriages, even stationary ones, including 1:07:56 when a man walks right into a carriage, bounces off, turns around, and walks smack into our wagon.
1:10:22 Our driver hits a man, who nevertheless runs away. Then another man bounces off our horses several times.
It kinda seems like the AI is blind. People sleepwalk out into the street, and then seem shocked when a carriage rolling along at a snails pace runs into their path. The little kid actually ducked under the cart. It suggests that the developers knew there was this constant problem with pedestrians walking blindly into the street and getting run down, but they couldn't fix it. But they drew the line at children being killed willy-nilly in their game, so this was their quick fix. I'd rather the AI be smart enough to look before crossing the street, but this was better than nothing.
Horse walking action NOT RIGHT. They would be travelling at WALKING SPEED, these are going at fast walk/slow trot. WRONG.
Have you got Autism?
This is super relaxing; I love it. I’m watching this on a lazy Sunday afternoon and it’s just literally ideal. Thank you!
thanks2, for future id prob use ingame sounds more, for even more relaxing experience
I’m fascinated in these clips I have only just found. My favourite part of history, Victorian Britain, and I always wanted to time travel back there, specifically. 😁😁
On the big screen, it’s a great second best. Nice one 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Since I started watching these Assassin Creed videos, I have been having dreams about them. I think that is a testament to the power that these images have over my psych. I especially love it when the view pans, and well known landmarks suddenly appear in the distance. Its like a classic Hollywood film entrance - every notable building is a member of the cast, and each is given an opportunity to shine at some point.
which is why these videos can be dangerous
Omg I love this walk about taking a horse drawn wagon just makes it so relaxing ❤ thank you so much for taking the time to do this amazing video for us all to enjoy!!!!
This is amazing if you know londons roads today it would be fantastic if a small corner of the screen was showing the same road now.....wow love this ❤❤❤
This is Charles Dickens time ! Thaks ! Very good old days !
I was thinking the same thing about Dickens.
No one taking selfies in front of Buckingham Palace or not listening to music with headsets, just being focussed on traffic and living the life
I have a suggestion for a game which has amazing world detail and design that would be perfect for a video like this: The Division 1 & 2. The amount of detail in that game with both exterior and interior is so insane
Do you thing it's worth for single player? Always wanted to check but I'm definetly not a multiplayer guy, just wondering :)
@@KGArtDesign yeah you can for sure play this single player. The gameplay might not be for everyone, but I also really just enjoyed all the detail in the environments. I think you can buy the division 2 for $8 on kinguin or g2a. And division 1 would probably be even less
Thank you for your suggestion. I will take a look at it
@@MaxRypert thank you very much for your reply Max, I'll definetly check both, starting from first one ;)
I find the Division 1 open world much more vibrant than Div2's; there are more different kinds of people on the streets... civvies, lmb, jtf, rioters... there's more variety in what happens in free roam
It's great to see london away back in time 18 centuries on horse s it's great brining old arcives it looks so good not forgetting 19 centuries with walking around London thanks again karl from dundee uk
Wahnsinn diese Details ins die Genauigkeit.....da muss eine unglaubliche Arbeit dahinter stecken 😮😮
London looks more like London in this than actual London looks now.
So absorbing to watch this extraordinary video… very cool to see Temple Bar ‘in situ’ too! ❤
Wow seeing london bridge and big ben wow
Hello! I'm still here! You're still the best in this kind of video, and this one is just so amazing and is exactly what I love. Thank you so much! :)
Just stumbled on this. Blown away amazing. Wish you could do one for some other uk cities like York Leeds Manchester ect
This video was amazing, good old London in Victorian times. Thank you. Deanne
No congestion charge or parking tickets in those days terrific vid thank you 🙏
AHHH! EVERYBODY IS ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE ROAD!!!! Oh, You're not Jon Marston and I'm not in Kansas anymore...
Haven't you ever seen a Western?
Brilliant, absolutely loved it. Where's the dogs. And dont forget the cats too.
Lighterage of the day would have been rowed or driven with a single oar as is the term.
Would have been great if he had stopped off at an inn on his journey.
Brilliant brilliant brilliant...
carriage speed matches current traffic speed as well, incredible
And no horse dung anywhere! Amazing street cleaners they had in those days! 😂😂😂
I wish you would do one with rain or like snowing wind or a storm while they're riding in the carriage all around that would be so great
Nope. Way too many of these miraculous videogame landscapes are already marred by rain, fog, and other inclement weather. They’re depressing!
Yup
Yeah I keep looking for non-game victorian ambiences and they ALL HAVE RAIN and it makes me mad @@tk210west
Do you still remember me?
Following you from 58subs you have grow alot in some months❤
It's unreal that we still have the same post pillar boxes @2:45 in England in 2024. Great video.
It is glorious! Aesthetic tradition is priceless.
why would they look any different
Love the AI scenery. I am transported to Victorian England including the industrial sector. Thanks, well done!
Wow fascinating, incredibly detailed look at the past. Thank you, must have been a ton of work! Well done, however before the combustion engine, large cities like London, Paris, New York, etc. removed thousands of pounds of horse manure from the streets every week. Could use a few street sweepers for added accuracy.
This was so wonderful to see. I love that period and would rather have lived then than now. London is much the same apart from the awful high rise buildings now.
Gosh this is amazing
17:46 😨
Oh- What gruesome fate!
Bro hit 0 HP :skull:
This looks amazing
How accurate is this, some modest shop-fronts have beautiful architecture
Bro this game was beyond its time 😂❤
yeah kind of, but think can be implemented soon
i mean the 1080 is pretty great looking, but those were on the another account
ノスタルジー動画の配信ありがとうございます。 動画時間はこのくらいがよさそうですね。
wow,. more like this !!
There's one major flaw in this video: there's not one single piece of horse manure on the roads anywhere!
16:26-16:36, 36:30 among others
I love this game!!
HI,
Does this video look as good if played on an Xbox One 500GB? If worse, by how much, in percentage terms. Am trying to gauge if I should go the PC or Xbox route for this game.
Imagine a Jack The Ripper sort of RDR-game in victorian London. With vampires too.
So glad they updated the game for ps5
É espectacular ❤
Excellent! Why 1868? Is there much information, pictures etc. from this particular year?
This isn't my favorite game, but I think it may be my favorite game environment. There's so much focus on games being huge and sprawling, but the focus on a single, dense city makes for such rich experience, especially when you add in the inherent restraint of having to make it roughly historically accurate. Too much freedom in environmental design tends to turn games into something like Gotham City in Batman and Robin. When everything is impossibly enormous, the weight of enormity is lost.
My only complaint with this environment is that it seems like, at some point, someone went through and added way too many big iron letters all over the buildings, saying the most generic things like "Insurance" or "Warehouse." A few of those is great, but certain areas are just riddled with them. It feels kinda cheap.
And of course, it does kinda bug me that you can't wander very long without seeing a cart run over a pedestrian,m leaving corpses all over the street, with no one batting an eye. The AI in this game was a little too dumb. But that's AC for you. It's the one thing that breaks immersion the most.
Great video. 👍
I see it wasn’t safe to walk around in London those days .
Apparently there were no traffic regulations in London in 1868...
Nice 😊good imagination 😊
That's a LOT of trees for 868, isn't it?
You know what makes this authentic. This shit streets.
next gen will have AI so imagine the people in the scenes will be navigating more life like
❤❤❤
People and sht are not reflected in the puddles WTF?!!!
:D
Just another run of the mill day in Victorian London, people getting run down my horse and carts and no one caring.
Modern day ANY CITY, but cars not horses
Hardly realistic but sort of enjoyable ish
This game is so unique and very detailed, i cant imagine how shortsighted can people be who are not satisfied with it, and say Origins is better, while origins looks like copy paste from previos AC games like first one. While in which other game you got entire victorian town with carriages and people doing various random stuff.
The things they could add to make it even more alive that you can interact more with random people on street, and go in bar and order a drink, or food in restaurant and that it restores health when you eat etc.
👍👍👍👍👍 👀🍿
Bro how to ride slowly with carriage on pc?
Like on pc, you will always gallop with the carriage, you can't drive slowly like you did.
Plug a controller in and use an analogue stick
Crei que era la vida real xD
Just put on a mystery novel audiobook and ride around
👍👍👍👍👍
You already know
Very nice render but where's all the horse shit?.😮😊
zero emissions
Video game graphics, how can they get much more better than this?
London was'nt that clean in 1868
why all kids running
The color of the game doesn't look right..
the game wasnt right on many areas, so i uninstalled
If only the gameplay of these games wouldn't be so dumb, repetitive and boring.
This would be awesome in VR
