His sister was the one that curved his attention and helped him focus on the needed task. In that was she was his Adderall. Without her his focus is split and thanks to them indulging in his hyperfixation, he views it as them accepting his more unfiltered self and doesn't make as much of a conscious effort to mask.
Senshi putting together his own version of "holy water" has the exact same energy as a kid mixing together all the different cleaning products to create the ultimate soap except Senshi's actually works.
I remember making a soap potion that actually worked! when I drank it, it made me travel a day into the future and teleported me into a hospital bed.

I love how creative the author is with these monsters. Frieren and Meshi really are innovating fantasy unlike any other story in the last half century. Tolkien would be proud!

we eat bugs in our country. obviously, there are also few people who dont too. I think bug eating is kinda natural in asian countries. But I saw some protein powders made from bugs in western countries too. That's how we trick to feed bugs to westerner :P
Yeah a lot of bugs are *hard* to eat without knowing how to properly prepare them, and I get apprehension if it isn’t a tradition in your home country, but there’s nothing inherently gross about eating a bug.
they mention it in the show, coin bugs are a delicacy. the author was probably aware some people dont like the idea of eating bugs so put that there as a reminder of other cultures!
@@mathieup5024theres actually a guy on youtube who is trying to normalize eating bugs and shows a lot of different recipes with different bugs. he will do unorthodox ones but also common bugs as well. its really cool! he makes some very good points, bugs should be eaten more. they are a good source of protein and VERY accessible
this was def a favorite episode for me, Laios' unhinged behavior and the jeweled bugs are by far my favorite dungeon style mob so far. The author deserves so much praise for the creativity. Love the reaction keep up the awesome work!
If it’s any consolation, most insects have nociception, the ability to feel pain, but don’t process it as a negative stimuli the way we do: it doesn’t upset them, and other then reflexive reactions they don’t feel apprehension at causing pain to themselves. For example, they won’t walk more lightly on an injured leg. So while the centipede could probably « feel » something, it would be closer to what you feel when it’s a bit chilly, mild discomfort, then what we consider pain.

random topic: on theme of fantasy anime this year is the 50th anniversary of Record of Lodoss War, if know record of grancrest war in last 10 years then its from same creator. if didnt know its pretty much a near to roots dnd anime AND it was the first actual play to hearers (back then it was a live play on radio) before others like Critical Roll (if dont know CR then you may heard of legend of vox machina)ever started it. it uses a loose dnd system, i say loose cause when the trpg came to japan some box sets were missing various dice that was required to play dnd. so ppl had to make their own rules and changes with one being the lodoss war creator tweaked it so much it became its own tabletop rpg. the rpg is called Sword World.
for sure worth checking out since that series inspired alot of japanese creators to make most known series like slayers, goblin slayer, and even this series. side note: also lodoss war pretty much introduced elves that anime fans start loving over.
oooh next ep is going to be one of my favorites. glad you guys are enjoying it!
