Of the guys we got to know already I like Kabru the most. Charismatic, intelligent and a full sociopath.
But we still haven't really met one of the people showed here who becomes more important later on.
Kabru definitely. He’s incredibly sharp and he’s the sort of adventurer that’s aiming to clear the dungeon in order to save lives.
Kabru. I like him a lot
Kabru is a Machiavellian character with Main Character vibes. If you made a JRPG and wanted a Hero, you would make Kabru, not Laios. I'm pretty sure that's what the author intended, to showcase one "Serious" person to counter Laios' un-seriousness.
My favorite from Kabru's party is Holm, the gnome. I like dungeon meshi's gnomes in general because of their permanent chill expression (except for the old gnome guy when he is angry) and the fact that he freezes when too much stuff starts to happen at the same time
also he is so hot as tallman
since you said you liked daya the dwarf lady, here is her backstory from the adventurer's bible (this is not a spoiler since it's supplemental material that won't make it into the anime): she was born into a clan of dwarves who were dedicated to guarding the entrance to a dungeon, so they taught her to fight to carry on that legacy. however, when her parents tried to force her into an arranged marriage to an older relative, she ran away from home and never looked back. she became an adventurer because she wanted to learn what was inside dungeons that was so worth guarding. (she is also now happily engaged to a man that she loves and chose for herself)
I definitely like Kabru a lot. He's sort of an anti-Laios. But I also really like Tade, the oni girl from Shuro's group!

(light spoiler if you didn't read the manga) the fact that Itsuzumi, who cares about nobody ever, remembers her and shares warm memories with her, is just the sweetest thing ever😭😭🙏
Oh yeah, Laios and Chilchuck stole the grain they used on the Kelpie episode from Kabru's party.
To be fair it was floating in the water and would've rotted or been eaten by monsters anyway
My utmost favorite is Kabru, but I also really like Mickbell, I think he's one of those foil characters that really help to elevate the character that they mirror (in his case Chilchuck)
Kabru is my favorite because he's so silly. He's like if Light Yagami got plopped into a fantasy cooking anime.

they took jewelry from them but that was actually bugs and they ate it, so technically they took only foods.
Tade's head being relatively small in comparison to her body actually makes sense physiologically from a humanoid standpoint. If this impacts the intelligence of ogres is debatable though she is a bit simple-minded but this could just be her and not a universal ogrish trait.
Fun fact- the leader of that corpse retriever group is a half-dwarf and the blond one is a half-gnome.This is revealed in the novelization.
For Shuro's facial hair, I think it's more so that he stopped taking care of it because of how distraught he is about what happened to Falin. He's desperate and no longer care for his appearance.
