I m from lahaul spiti India. If we look into the history entire gilgit baltistan, ladakh, zanskar, lahul spiti, rutok, guge was one kingdom known as Ngari kingdom ruled by a tibetan king. He divided the kingdom among his three sons. First son was given Ladhakh baltistan, second son got zanskar lahaul spiti, third son got rutok guge. Rutok and guge are in Tibet, now occupied by China.

The lights are working beautifully. Some people have even installed inverters to watch TV during the evenings. It would be great if more people have access to such inverters so that they can charge their phones, laptops etc.

They are not configured for inverters as the battery will die faster if inverters are used on the same system. But a good point made, we are now looking to provide inverter based systems for our future installations. Thanks for the update

How does a Tamil make it in these conditions? My family moved to Africa in the beginning of the last century & called the climate cold. I have since moved to Auckland & find most of the year relatively cold. Anyway thank you for your amazing work to spread the beauty, lives & perils of people few of us will ever have the pleasure of meeting. I hope the Indian Government does more to protect the cultural lifestyles of the people but also to provide healthcare, satelite phone & internet access, proper tarred roads, strategically placed helipads or runways & western type education to the youngsters if they wish to pursue a modern life. The changing climate will also drastically change their lifestyle as with the rising temperatures, it will open up the growing of different crops reliant on O² & C0² levels. The sad reality is that rising global temperatures will melt the glaciers quicker or make them disappear entirely after major flooding events due to the thaw. Dams etc. should be planned now to migitate the pending upheavals of melting glaciers as South Asia is basically a floodplain for the Himalayas. No amount of climate denial etc will save our people if our leaders do not act in the interest of the masses of us. It can also double up as the source of cleaner energy production in the subcontinent. Vannakum 🙏🏿
