    In 2016 Rick and Morty creators would release a short animation to the internet. It was a re-creation of a real-life altercation between a judge and a schizophrenic murder suspect that occurred in court. The bizarre, vulgarity-laden tirade was recited word for word in Rick and Morty voices, and went viral shortly after its publication. While many are aware of this Rick & Morty side project, many are unaware of the details surrounding the actual court it was based on. Today I'll be telling you the story of behind just what might be the most unhinged courtroom exchange of all time. This is the story of The State of Georgia vs. Denver Fenton Allen.

    • @franzpattison
      @franzpattison Год назад +21

      @@Bobbobbob984 not really. The judge is aware that while he may be innocent until proven guilty, the entire purpose of the trial is to prove him guilty, and the opposition consists of professional opinion-swayers that spend their entire waking life convincing weak-minded dumbfuck citizens that this or that person is guilty. In such a situation, unless you're an actual experienced lawyer, representing yourself is like an automatic sentencing.

    • @Bobbobbob984
      @Bobbobbob984 Год назад +1

      @@franzpattison I mean to assume the biggest mistake is killing his cell mate would be assuming that he in fact is guilty before the trial even started which would have signalled a quite biased judge. As a fact, the judge rather regretted how he handled this. Should have just had the bailiffs remove him probably. He reclused himself from the trial. Towards the end, saying that there was no way he was going to get a fair trial from him wasn't a great look and does open up mistrial accusations.

    This reminds me of that one judge that got into an argument with a lawyer or the defendant i don't remember which one it was but the judge told them that if they wanted to settle things they can take it out side.

      I wonder what would've happened if the lawyer kicked the judges ass

      It was a public defender, and the judge indeed took it outside, and whooped him solid. The judge went back and illegally handled the rest of the morning's docket without said public defender. He was removed as a judge shortly thereafter.

      Yep, and then they took it outside....fought and then the judge returned...the courtroom applauded for him beating up the lawyer....lol. I think he lost his job over it...but it was epic !!!!
