I had similar issues with Yamaha not honoring their warranty on my Wave Runner. Luckily the service center I took it too (which was not who I bought it from) ate the cost, so now I of course buy all my supplies from them.
I had this exact boat. Bought it as soon as they released these re-designed 19ft models. I sold it last year when boat values sky rocketed due to supply shortages and I regret getting rid of it. I intended to upgrade to a larger boat but now seeing what Yamaha wants for the 222 models with the 1.8L engines, I regret selling my AR195. The 220 is affordable but it is underpowered with just the TR-1s in my opinion being the boat is larger than the old 210s. I did have significant issues with my trailer from the factory though. Looks like the bunks on yours were set up correctly. The first runs, Shorelandr didn’t change the bunk positioning from the old 19ft hull so my boat was always resting on the strakes of the hull. Dealer replaced the bunks and repositioned them but made them 12 inches too short, Shorelandr eventually just replaced the entire trailer.
Did you take your 19 ft boat tubing at all? If so, how well did it go? Was it fantastic, OK, or bleh? I have the 195s 2021 and love everything about it - excepting tubing. It just loses so much power on turns it's shocking. I had a 1999 seadoo speedster jet boat, and could put 4 people in it and it would rip through a turn with a tube like no boat I've ever seen. I've been pretty bummed about it, and the yamaha dealerships I've talked to just blunder about on the call not having anything helpful to say lol.
Trailer brakes need the 5 prong wire and so does the tow vehicle. Mine had the same problem towing until I got my brakes wired to the trailer lights (went from 4 prong on vehicle to 5 prong on vehicle). Yes all the bolts that go through the hull get loose regularly and the light pole should screw in rather than wedge in
I have a 2017 ar195 and no issues so far. Previously I had a Starcraft and I would say the Starcraft definitely had better build quality. I ended up with the Yamaha over the Scarab because of the back deck and swim platform. It's a nice boat....but is kinda cheaply made.
That's a good question. Yamaha recommends 87 octane fuel and that is what I run. Never any issues. Motor runs very nice on 87. This boat has a 40 gallon tank, and prices at the moment in Idaho around around $3.60 a gallon (varies a lot), so to fill an empty tank would be $144. Typically for me, with a day out on the lake I usually use around 10 gallons of fuel, so around $36 for a typically day out for me. Hope that helps.
I have a 2018 AR195. I find it easier to completely remove bimini when not using the boat rather than fold it up and try to fit it in the storage back. Only 2 more clevis pins and the entire thing comes off.
No big difference really. Personal preference. If doing a lot of towing the bench might be better, but you can always swivel the second captains chair around as well. Just depends on what you like best. I do like to store things under the bench myself, so that is nice.
Being super charged, have you had any issues w/ the motor. Are you normally just cruising along or do you max out the RPM's? I know each owner drives their own way but just curious.
I have had zero issues. I run it at all ends of the spectrum from no wake to full throttle. After 70 hours, no change in performance. Runs like it did when new.
@@GOATbro_Australia I was worried about it being at very high rpm's with it being supercharged. After 3yrs it still looks great. Hope y'all have a great summer
Nice vid! How do the boat do with sports, particularly tubing? I have the 2021 195s (super charged) and have been shocked at how much power it loses on a sharp turn, especially with a tube or weight. It's been so disappointing. Wake surfing is basic, but good enough for me. You just need a lot of weight in the back.
So probably just like yours. Mine also has the super charged engine. Pretty much runs as you describe. Plenty for what we use it for. Thanks for watching!
Really enjoyed the video and info. I have just started looking at boats and a friend has a Yamaha, but he's not close to me anymore and his is the bigger one. How many adults comfortably with gear/coolers can ride together and tube/ski? Looking at the AR195 and AR210 so far caught my eye. Thanks
Great video thanks for sharing. If you can get the Thrust Vectors and Lateral Thrust Vectors from Jet Boat Pilot they are 1000x’s easier to steer. Turns forwards and backward on a dime. Well worth it on my 2022 AR-190 🙌
I am pretty happy with how it works stock. I had installed Thrust Vectors on my AR210 and they were an improvement, but I have just adjusted to how the boat steers without them. They are a good product though!
This boat has the supercharged 1.8 liter engine. SVHO. The fastest I have taken this boat to with a full tank of fuel, day supplies, no wind, and two people onboard is 49 MPH. Hope that helps.
Light chop on the lake is just fine, but heavy chop is not where this boat belongs. Awesome on a flat smooth lake or one with light chop for sure. Hope that helps!
Grat vid. 2 questions, where did you buy those spare tire mount? One i bought is too short and not enough clearance for the tire. Also, please share w me you battery charger set up. Thx
“…in fact, I think their logo is right here.” * shows logo * 😂 PERFECT. Well done sir! Nice boat. 👍🏼🇨🇦
Dude your garage is bigger than my house . Having a boat is always in my dream . One day will do .
Buying one Friday after watching this it sealed the deal.
Thanks for this, good to hear. Im picking up a 24 this weekend.
Nice looking boat, looking at these Yamaha's just have to figure out which one...
I had similar issues with Yamaha not honoring their warranty on my Wave Runner. Luckily the service center I took it too (which was not who I bought it from) ate the cost, so now I of course buy all my supplies from them.
that rear swim deck is a game changer for me man! i'm glad to know maintaining it isnt that hard to do.
I hope you do more boat videos on your Yamaha AR195. I have a 195S .

Hello, question can you provide a link for the spare tire mounts?
What the cost to fully⛽ it over in idaho and what type of gas grade does it use... Thank you

Awesome garage

Is it worth going with the S model for the second captains chair or is the bench better
No big difference really. Personal preference. If doing a lot of towing the bench might be better, but you can always swivel the second captains chair around as well. Just depends on what you like best. I do like to store things under the bench myself, so that is nice.

What size is your garage?
It roughly 28 feet deep and garage door is 12 foot high and 10 foot wide. That is just for the one bay.
I had a 2021 Yamaha 195s. I sold it after 2 months of use. It kept sucking debris from the trashy river in my area. I had to get an outboard boat.
Nice boat . Shopping for one now. What year is yours? Have you riden it over 100hrs yet?
How far you have taken this into a bay of offshore?
So is yours a 2019 or 2020? Thanks!
It's a 2019
What do you use to keep your engine so shiny?
Nothing really. I wipe it down with a cloth on occasion, but that's it.
Boat looks good 👌🏽

Do you know where I can get the set up for the Two front spare tires
I don't have all the details, but I ordered it all on Amazon.com
Great video ! What is the top speed in that baby ?
Thanks!
I have hit right on 50 mph on flat water and no wind. Really quick up to speed as well for a jet.

With all that gear I would say 6 comfortably. It's roomy.

Does the trailer have breaks
Yes it does have brakes. They are mechanical, disk brakes.
what motor do you have? and whats your top speed wot?. Im between two models

What are your garage dimensions.
For the boat part only, I have a 12 foot high, X 10 foot wide roller door. The bay is 26ft long.
How do these boats handle the chop?
Light chop on the lake is just fine, but heavy chop is not where this boat belongs. Awesome on a flat smooth lake or one with light chop for sure. Hope that helps!
@@GOATbro_Australia thanks. Yea I’m not so sure about with rivers in and out the Chesapeake bay

Spare tire holders from Amazon.
Battery charger is a 5 amp Battery Tender. You can use a much smaller tender though
better access to motor&battery vs. a bombardier seaDooo🚤🛥
How many ppl does it hold legally?
8
where did you get the flag holder ifor the tower?
Amazon
