For those who are associating autism with mental illness...think again. Autism is not really a disorder, as it isn't readily diagnosed from a set of symptoms, unless it is extreme. In addition, those of us who see reality differently see things no one else does, and some of our greatest achievements have been because of autistic scientists and engineers. Autism is not an illness. Most autistic people function as well or better than the average person, in economic and community goals.
Stop pumping yourself up as "seeing things others don't see". That's rubbish. I see plenty of things many others don't see AND SOMETIMES say them where others won't, but that doesn't make me either autistic or special. It's what I call a penchant for deeper-than-normal psychological perception and "calling out bullshit".
@@justarandomakwardperson.8525 its only a problem because we have to adapt to allistic society. I know an extreme case, and he is a bushmaster, able to be alone in the actual wilderness, with nothing but his kit and no food or water brought with him except emergency supplies, for months at a time.
There are big differences between so-called "mental illnesses" and so-called "neurological disorders". Autism IS a congenital neurological disorder, plain and simple medical fact. But it is not a mental illness like, say, marijuana induced paranoia.
Interesting. I was recently diagnosed with autism (what used to be called Asperger's) in my mid-50s. At one point in this interview, Ria tries to find a word to describe non-autistic people. As I have always felt like an outsider, I tend to use the word "mainstream" for non-autistic people.
The main conditions inherent in standup comedians are narcissism and a need for appreciation, even worse than front man/front women singers in rockbands.

I have it moderate, not extreme. and its definitely a disorder and disability for me. Mild people sometimes think the same too.

"I have autism" has now been reduced to simply a socially-valid excuse for being a weirdo.
What is her race? She is neither German nor British. Cabaret performance does not require any intelligence.
She answers her racial identity toward the end of the video. I don't know if it's fair to call her German, but she is British among whatever else.
