some time ago I complained about Paul Bertorelli and that I didn't like his style, but after some months reading his material and watching all these awesome videos I really came to admire him a lot. He is a no non-sense guy that really gives viewers the information that they need to know if they want to buy an aircraft or improve their flying skills. I apologize Paul - I think you are the man!
Those screens are really neat looking, is all I can say as a sim only pilot. I've never seen such vibrant custom-made interactive screens simulated in FSX or X-Plane.. oh well.
Ty Warner has a BBJ based at KDPA, where I fly out of daily and I must say... he flies it quite often, however for him it's a must have. He honest to goodness will have a retired UAL pilot do 3 TO/LNDGS all being touch n' goes... afterh the 3rd touch n go... they depart to somewhere overseas. It's pretty awesome, honestly. Too bad you can't track him. N888TY is the official tail number.
@Fangsout1 - I guess you're right... Gordon Turner doesn't seem very satisfied in the end... He looks kind of embarrassed! Maybe it was something not shown on the video or just the landing as you said...
I'll probably never own, or indeed ever have the chance to fly such a bird, but I can think about it when I'm building up hours in a rented Skyhawk. Good video and an incredible aircraft. Yeah... I can dream. Who knows? Meanwhile that lil Skyhawk is still pretty darn sweet :)
This plane is really owning!! Comfortable plane! I hope I'll fly something like this one! A lot better than the Eclipse! But it is legal to fly this plane with 1 pilot right??
@bg11215 for me Cessna Mustang is Better than Phenom100,, but if you are looking for more space cabin and more speed and more range go for Honda jet...
I saw that in the forward cargo you had bottles of water. Correct me if i'm wrong, but isn't the nose not heated and un pressurized? Wouldn't the water have froze and possibly burst at altitude? Another question, is the aft cargo heated or pressurized? I'm in the market and can't find any info on this specifically.
To all you talking of owning a jet, it's clear you haven't put much thought into it. After the 500 mill, which is WAY off. A 737 costs more around 80 Mil, you have to pay for fuel (which is astronomical), i live in TX and i've flown a Hawker 800 from Dallas to Houston (30 min flight) cost about $4K in fuel. That's a medium private jet.. Imagine a cross country flight in a 737. No way
Bare minimum.... private pilot multi engine land, and a type rating since it is turbojet powered. Insurance is going to tell you otherwise. Insurance I'm willing to bet will tell you private pilot multi engine land w/instrument rating and A LOT of hours and extra training. OR... Commercial pilot w/instrument rating and extra training.
In the US, you would need at least a private pilot license, an instrument rating, a multi-engine rating, a complex endorsement, a high-altitude endorsement, and a CE-510 type-rating, or a CE-510S type-rating if you wanted to fly it single-pilot.
He means if he had that much money, this airplane would be the first thing he would buy. If I had 1.5 million, I wouldn't buy this plane because I would have to have money to eat too...
my dad just took delivery of a new mustang. I'm not a big aviation enthusiast, but I love this aircraft.
Beautiful jet, and stellar watch, Mr. Turner.
this is one of the best videos I have seen on the Cessna Mustang.. Very imformative!!!

Another great video from AVweb. These are great, and I sure appreciate them!
@mikearuba: It takes a big man to admit when he is wrong. I admire you for that! Happy Flying.

Awesome.. gonna get one.. once I win the Powerball, and get my multi-turbine rating. :

Very nice aircraft.
I love this Aircraft so much... Would b a dream to fly one..
love it so much i will have it one day.

I went to the show here in SLF and I really love it.. my dad was really crazy about it literaly... hehe awesome bird:)
Lovely brd!
great video! thanks!!
Even better...
VLJ's are the future!
You do need type ratings for all jets.
AMAZING!
I want one!
Gordon has a nice Rolex.
@bg11215 for me Cessna Mustang is Better than Phenom100,, but if you are looking for more space cabin and more speed and more range go for Honda jet...
@KLMPilot03 its single pilot certified
if i ever won the lotto..this would be the first thing id buy

"basically it steers like a big skyhawk". So the ground steering on it sucks?
I agree just as the pilot confirmed, but I'd still take it.
Gee dad can I have one!
I WISH!!! ;)
How do you turn the jet when taxiing. i didn't see a steering wheel for the center wheel that most large jets have.
@germb747 hmmm may change that to a Cessna Citation X. don't want a big airplane although i may want a Boeing 737.
thanks alot! cheers
@orom1994 same here man.
*sigh* i wish i had one. i wish i won the $500,000,000 million lotto (yes there is such a thing) this would be the first thing i would buy. :)

I love the big birds, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to own one of them.
Everyone's got a gmt master nowdays it seems...
a hundred gallons an hour yikes....that's just a bit different than the warrior I fly
what type of pilot license do i need for such a plane? good video!
I'd imagine here in the USA you'd need a private pilots license with instrument rating and turbine aircraft rating essentially.
In the US, you would need at least a private pilot license,
an instrument rating,
a multi-engine rating,
a complex endorsement,
a high-altitude endorsement, and
a CE-510 type-rating, or
a CE-510S type-rating if you wanted to fly it single-pilot.
With 500M , buy one for me too please
@firiaxis I'm sure you don't mean to toot your own horn, but what an arrogant comment if it is even true.
i have this aircraft it is amazing for those of you wondering i own my own buisness
You don't have to own it to enjoy it. Get a Commercial and Instrument. Find someone that needs a pilot.
@TheAppleMan100 With $500,000,000, you wouldn't buy a 777 instead? ;-)
He means if he had that much money, this airplane would be the first thing he would buy.
If I had 1.5 million, I wouldn't buy this plane because I would have to have money to eat too...
1.5 million? Wow. Are there any decent turbine "private jet" type aircraft for under $400,000 or so?
About the size of a loaf of bread xD
@mitgolden76 lol
Try landing an F-16!
Cockpit looks awfully tight...worse than an RJ flightdeck
★★★★★ , to much nose/limited view for me though
