    Game2, Kulavut saved the best for the last, that was indeed well planned! As he later gave the interview that he was well aware that he wouldn't be able defeat a stronger and more experienced player like Victor in two straight games, so he treated the second game as his practice and tried to move Victor around as much as he could. Then he came out as a beast awoken on game3. Brilliant match, well display from both players.

    Congratulations Vitidsarn. Finally you beat Axelsen, you deserves the victory against Victor after learning a lot from last year's World Champion Final Game. The tactics are perfectly executed as what I mentioned below that video:
    * Control the front,
    * Most of the time, keep downward but softly without big smashes when Viktor lift the shuttle up in the first 10-15 shots.
    * After that, Viktor won't have enough energy to hit a full smash
    * If you can make many scores like this even Viktor win in the first game with this style, you have the big chance to win the final two, for Viktor either lost patience or lack of energy.
    Con again!

      Well, that is pretty obvious for even amateur players. As soon as you lift, you are bloody dead by the bloody steep powerful smash. But the simple question is, are they able to control the rallies so that they don't lift, and able to do that consistently through out the match.... And the reality is, this is a very very rare occasion, in a very long time, a player, namely Kunlavut Vitidsarn managed to do that ....

    When after the first game Victor counted his mistakes and mentioned it to his coach, it was a huge huge signal of him being nervous inside. And the fact that Vitidsarn just gave up 2nd game intentionally didn't make it better for Axelsen, it made it much worse. He didn't get to experience the coming back feeling and therefore started 3rd game very nervous. And that is what let him down. So many mistakes

His accurate down the line smash penetrates every other players' defense, but Vitidsarn was impressively getting those back consistently. His placement on the back line was also very accurate. And he had an offensive gear that I didn't know existed... when I previously watched him, I thought he was just an OK well-rounded player, not sure what the hype was.

      @@wimzswimz9843 Yes, probably, but the next meetings between these two will be interesting to see. The third set looked to me like Vitidsarn can really hurt Axelsen. Of course Axelsen will analyse this loss and try to mitigate that, but maybe Vitidsarn is really able to continue scoring wins against him. Apart from Axelsen he is playing the highest level right now.

    Kulavut giỏi quá !

    An unusual amount of errors from Viktor in this game. Great effort from the young thai lad tho playing a fast attacking game to subdue Viktor’s big smashes

    Great job Vitidsarn. Very happy. Tired of Axelsen although he’s still a great player

    Well played by Vitidsarn but he definitely needs to develop more explosive rear court movement. Many opportunities to capitalise on lifts but he was unable to due to lack of explosive movement speed a'la LD or LCW. I know part of his game plan was tiring out axelsen with long rallies playing drop shots etc but I still think this is an area he needs to work on especially when he comes across players who don't stamina drain so easily.

      Viktor had a very good stamina and rest prior to final because Rasmus Gemke couldn't continue in the semi final compared to Vitidsarn who had played several very tiring rubber sets against other great players prior to the final against Viktor!

    Victor still needs to improve his mental toughness especially if there will be 3rd set in a competition..
