I am 51, divorced as well, and have embarked on a journey to health and wellness. I have lost weight but more importantly have overcome my food addiction through diet. I have always been interested in style and fashion, but weight trumps style when you feel terrible about yourself. One of the worse mistakes of my life!
I'm and American from Chicago but moved to Ireland 5 years ago. When you talked about working as a flight attendant for Air France it reminded me of O'Hare Airport in Chicago. The gates for Aer Lingus and Air France were beside each other. I was always flying on Aer Lingus. But I remember seeing the flight attendants from Air France walking to their plane, looking very stylish and elegant and used to feel so sorry for the Aer Lingus flight attendants in their horrible green uniforms!

I’ve just recently found your channel. Oh my… you are so refreshing! I’m 71 now and sometimes need a little inspiration to still make the best of myself. You inspire me to put on my make up and face the world. I missed the live video but have just watched now and enjoyed it so much. Glad to see you use soap. I have been using soap for years now (my favourite is Bonne Mère from L’Occitane). I have also recently been trying out shampoo bars and like them a lot. I’ve always been a larger lady but comfort eating for this past year has meant I have put on so much weight. I am going to try and use you as an inspiration to lose weight. I don't have anyone special in my life right now either. I get tired of the question. There is still this thinking that if a woman doesn't have a man, no matter how well she is doing in other areas of her life, something is missing. A man is icing on the cake of life, not the cake. I am 50 and I am happier than I have ever been after some very challenging times in my life. I am also a Capricorn-January 4th!!

My mother was Irish and my father was from Brittany. He spoke both French and Breton, a language closely related to Welsh.

Discovered your channel about a week ago, and I absolutly, truly love your videos! I'm turning 40 next month, feel really good about it, but needed some inspiration how to transform my style into something more adult, timeless and chic. I even started to think about buying a good quality, leather bag, and searched online for a special one. Ah.....I used to live in Arzano...a very small village near Quimperle in Brittany.... my mother's family moved to Sydney about 60 years ago, and I speak English (I am English), Spanish (I live in Spain), French (I lived in France), some Italian, some Russian and some Hebrew.... I am a dog person, my mother was a bull dog person...oh and I lived in Cyprus...Greek influence....and also I worked for Air Canada!! So a few similarities! I love your videos. Bisous

I just found out a couple of days ago, that I have French ancestry, and I’m really excited because I always thought my mom and her family looked French, and they are!
You are so sweet and genuine. I too am unmarried and no children mid-50's I feel left out and not included esp if friends married or worse with children. How do you cope. My hairdresser is French here in Australia ( south of you) it would blow your mind to meet him . He came when he was in his 20s he has no accent , none ! He told Me when he first came here he worked with tree loppers and they were such Aussies he worked hard to lose his accent . It’s crazy he sounds exactly like an Aussie 💕

I'm sort of waiting for Oscar to start snoring. LOL. Born in Brittany: do you have any Celtic heritage? I found that peri-menopause was longer and more difficult than the changes once menopause hit me. Red wine and Earl Grey: what can be better? Merde is my favorite bad word, except when you change it to English and the British version and extend it forever to be SHIIIIITTTEEE! Your gift is that you talk to us in a manner that is talking WITH us and not talking AT us. By the way, Celts are dark. It is the Pictish invaders who probably brought the red hair and the Vikings who brought the blonde to the Celtic nations. So your dark hair is very Celtic. It is true there were Spaniards, from the Armada even, that ended up in the Celtic countries of the British Isles, but the Celts are not originally light, but more Mediterranean colorings.

Hi Frédérique! Sorry I'm "late to the party". I'm caring for my partner of 35 years (Australian w' French Irish heritage) and it wasn't possible to see you live this morning. I'm a tiny bit older than you. Only because you discussed this, I have some advice... Stay single!!! Otherwise you may find yourself being a nurse to someone who you have not had many years of happiness with...and even then, it is very difficult. You have such a "joie de vivre" and enjoy your career, so you don't want to be in a position of feeling obliged to put your life on hold. I only believe we have one life. Continue being a free spirit.

I just recently found you so to watch this today was wonderful! I appreciate your styling so much as at 81 years of age I can wear what you suggest and realize I have been doing this style for quite awhile....especially wearing black. I have been known to say, I don't have a little black dress....I have a not so little black closet! I have dark brown eyes and hair (now colored) and olive complexion so when I see you various outfits I instantly know how it would look on me! May God bless you as you continue to bless all of us.

I totally understand the dysfunctional family. My mom was a single parent of 7 children. Most of us don't have anything to do do with each other. Reasons not important. I'm not religious, but I have faith. I miss my grandma's everything. I just turned 65 in May. Divorced 2 years ago after 38 years. I understand the depression. I am coming out of it this year. Thank you for your channel. Keep the"click, click, click". I just love you. You are the best. Your honesty is way you are successful. Channel and chanel. Who cares. Your French with any accent. It's like telling a southern person in Louisiana to speak clear. As long as they color is on a box or bottle, its on my head.
