So many incredible ceilings! Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! ❤️🙏
@@LoireValleyChateaux absolutely, I’ve never seen anything close!
I'm gobsmacked! What a magnificent Elizabethan house! The Chorley Council is doing a wonderful job managing this historic property! It would be a perfect period movie set! Thank you!!! I would love to prepare a Yule feast in that kitchen! Wow!
Thank you for your kind comment, totally agree!
The ceilings are magnificent😮!
@@jeanbaker2087 they absolutely are I have never seen anything come close to their beauty, no idea how they managed to it.
The house has a lot of windows. Makes it look almost modern for that time period.
Totally agree, I was surprised when I first seen the front of the Hall.
Do you think i could claim it back.
@@jamescharnock4579 worth a try!
Any connection to John Astley, husband of Elizabeth I 's gover ess? They never had children but he remarried after Kat's death?
Not that I am aware of I didn't see any mention of John Astley whilst researching the hall.
Any connection to Rick Astley?
@@edwardjantyndorf4174 I think that we are all connected to Rick Astley in some way!
I thought that Elizabeth I’s governess’s name was Kathryn “Kat” Ashley not Astley.
The plasterwork on the ceilings is absolutely exquisite! I’m not a fan of the 16th-17th century use of dark wood.
