    Hey Everyone: Super excited to share today's DIY video all about pressed flower candles and candle holders using oven bake clay. In today's video, we are going to create tapered candles covered in pressed flowers, a glass votive holder, and a pink rainbow candle holder. Oh, and one of the tapered candles is battery operated and can be turned on with a remote control, which is super cool!
    All of these projects are very easy, cute and affordable to create.
    I hope you all love this video! It was so much fun to create and I can’t wait to see what projects you all come up with using pressed flowers and oven baked clay. The supply list is below.
    Happy DIYing!!!! xo, Michele

    How beautiful!! Is it safe to light a thin candle with pressed flowers on them or are they more for decorations? Thank you!

    • @BellaBranchDIY
      @BellaBranchDIY  3 года назад +1

      I’m so glad you love the DIY! It’s super safe because The large candle burns through the center.. And on the taper candles the wax will drip over the sides. But, like with any candle, you should never leave it on unattended. I hope that helps. Xo, Michele

    May I ask?....did you dry your flowers a specific way? How did you maintain their color so well? Or did you add paint/color to them??

    • @BellaBranchDIY

      Hi Dana: I actually purchased all of the beautiful pressed flowers. They are very inexpensive and can be used on so many other projects. I have a link in the description to my blog where all of the supplies, and links, are listed. I hope that helps. Have a great week! xo, Michele

    I loved this method out of all the other ones I saw! But I have a question, after the project is over can you clean the brush for another similar project or do you throw it away?

    • @BellaBranchDIY
      @BellaBranchDIY  2 года назад

      Thank you for the DIY love, Nasia! Yes, you can reuse the brush. You would run it under hot water so the wax melts off. But, I would use a cheap brush just in case you get it too close to the flame. Have an awesome week! Xo, Michele

    Gorgeous... I got a bunch of battery candles that are looking a little yellow if I coat them with melted white wax will that work

    • @BellaBranchDIY
      @BellaBranchDIY  3 года назад

      Thanks for the DIY Love!!!! It will totally work if the battery candles are wax and not plastic. If they are plastic...you can do the technique, in this video, for the glass votive. I hope that helped! Let me know how it turns out! xo, Michele

    Hi Michele, the wax that you used to stick dried flowers to the candle (project #1), is that soy wax ,or any wax? Thanks

    • @BellaBranchDIY
      @BellaBranchDIY  2 года назад +1

      Hi Fiona: It's any wax. The votive is literally a cheap tea light. It's a super easy and beautiful project! xo, Michele

    Hi! What kind of bristles do you use? I think I used nylon and when the wax dried it left the candle streaky :(. Thanks in advance!

    • @BellaBranchDIY
      @BellaBranchDIY  2 года назад

      Hi Elizabeth: I love that you made your own Flower candle!!! I used a watercolor brush that has soft bristles. You could probably take a heat gun or a blowdryer and light run it over the candle each section at a time. See if that smooths it out. I hope that helps. xo, Michele

    With the tealight holder, will the glue stay firm when the tealight is lit? I have a fear it would drip x

      The glue will stay totally secure when the tea-light is lit. Have a great day!

    I tried this and it failed and have now watched this video and will try again. I tried to work quickly but my wax just dries to quickly on the brush. If you were using these on fake candles, can we just use mod pod?
