Ive used this same case with the fold 5. I love it. Great protection. You get used to how the pen works. Also, i have removed the front bumper case many times to swap sim out. No issues with the adhesive. It has never popped off. Dont shy away from this case.
Yes same experience here. I actually also have the case with hinge protection and I always revert back to this case as it's much slicker and lighter. I'm sticking with my Z Fold 5, don't like the bigger bump on the sPen case as I use magsafe stickons to make it work with my existing magsafe phone mounts.
I loved the case with the Fold 5 and hate it with the Fold 6. The back of the Fold 5 one was thicker so that the S-Pen doesn't cause a huge leap and the phone wasn't too wobbly on the table, with the Fold 6, they made the back case thinner so that the S-Pen make a huge bump and make the phone wobble. The between camera lenses were protected on the Fold 5, not at all on the Fold 6 so a lot of dust between lenses. And to finish, the biggest problem for me, on the Fold 5, the left of the front case doesn't move at all, sticked well to the phone, on the Fold 6 impossible to stick so the same problem as the video...
@@blm7929 you and I had the opposite feelings over both cases. Ha! I hated how thick last year's was. Made device heavy. Prefer the thinner lighter profile.
I used the same case with the Z Fold5 and it was very OK ever after removing it several times. However, with the Z Fold6, I experience the same issue as shown on this video. Very poor design.
Totally agree with you just got mine and the glue is very inadequate especially what you pay for these cases. Fortunately I got my case free with a trade in deal but still not very good for a brand new phone.
Hey @tallman431, thanks for confirming. Btw, did you wipe the screen clean before you applied it? I made sure I did that because other users are saying they have no issues with the case because they wiped it clean with alcohol wipes. I just used a lint-free cloth to wipe mine since the case package didn't come with any alcohol-based wipes and the instructions didn't show that as a step either, so if that step really is necessary for optimal adhesion, they should have included it, esp for the price. Glad you didn't have to spend for it though at least.
I don't know what your doing but I never fumbled like that trying to get the spen out. I get it out the first time every try. Maybe once I had to switch position. You got to hold the phone normally and pull down with your fingernail.
The case was onsale and i bought it just for the spen. Ima rock the fold butt ass naked because when i traded my s22 ultra that had chips, scratches, and paint fading ( on the frame only, all the glass parts were in pristine condition) they still accepted it. Good enough for me to not worry about these as im sure i will be trading it this phone the instant they add micro sd cards back (or something else thats game changing) or keep it til it dies.
Yea seems very difficult to buy the S Pen standalone unless you buy 3rd party. If you can run it naked that's best because you can admire the color you chose and the thin body. I reviewed some one piece carbon fiber cases from Benks that still keep it super lightweight and ultra thin while providing some protection to the back of the phone, but there's no S Pen slot.
Followed the advice of those that said to get new two-sided tape for the flimsy side of the case and it worked like a charm solid and does not move anymore my bad for not prepping it and putting it on right the first time
Thanks for your thoughtful review of the case. I'm going transition to Z Fold next year as my Note 10 is still working great. So I hope the issues you mention will get addressed by then.
It's good to see somebody still rocking the Note 10. My Note 9 still works although it's not my daily phone anymore but it could be if I needed it to be
Interesting, I didn't check close up to look for that. Btw, someone mentioned using Gennel 1.5mm double-sided adhesive tape as a fix for the weak adhesive on the frame if you decide to keep your case.
Thank you for your review! First, if the case will going to have a metal insertion inside of frame, or a durable plastic will not going to bend. I'm not understand the color they choice for manufacturing. Haw, a phone for business not have a case in black color?
The issue I keep having is the adhesive is not good enough on the front due to less surface area too. On the rest of the frame, it adheres well enough since there's a bit of a lip to help also, but yea strange to not have default black since many prefer it.
💯 Agree case is not fit for purpose. Back part fine but front frame way too flimsy. Will be replacing with something else. I have the spigen pro case here too but that is just a tank. Search continues.
I'll be reviewing some other 3rd party cases soon to see if any of them fare better with the front case, but let me know if you find any case you like too.
Glad to help! I'm stuck with my case because Samsung Canada said I can't return it since I opened the box. I guess they expected me to use my imagination and imagine how well it would fit and function : | I've reviewed a bunch of other Z Fold 6 cases so far, but the ones with adhesive are pretty bulky since they have hinge protection and the one I reviewed without hinge protection doesn't use adhesive, so the front screen case shifts a bit, but not as bad as with the official case I find. I've heard good things from one viewer about Thinborne cases, but I haven't used their stuff personally to say. Good luck on the hunt! Curious to hear what you decide on whenever you do.
The front left part of the front cover won't come loose if you install it and let the adhesive settle.. I have 2 Z Fold 6's and i installed the S Pen Case and the clear case late in the evening before bed and pressed hard for about 2 minutes. I went on about my day the following day and I even tried to mess with the left part of the screen to see if it was loose, it was not. I let it sit in the bathroom while I play my music and wondered if the steam would make it come loose, it did not. I even wondered if cleaning my screen would loosen the adhesive, nope.I am going almost a month in and the cases are holding on great. I highly recommend both cases.
I'm thinking there may be bad batches of this case because there are other users mentioning the same issue even after cleaning their screen. The official Samsung community forums has complaints about the same issue too. But I also see comments from users saying they have zero issues, so I'm thinking maybe the quality of strength of the adhesive being used is not the same for everyone.
@aacdallas88 not true. I took mine back got a replacement. Took all the care in the world with it weighted it down for a few hours. Was good for 2 weeks then suddenly it's just come loose again. A complete rip off and rubbish case.
@@PaulKing1970 Someone said it could be that there's different batches and some batches have bad glue. Not sure really, but others have mentioned buying double sided tape, 1.5mm wide and using that instead of the adhesive that Samsung uses if you can't return the case. Samsung Canada told me I can't return the case since I opened the box and used it (how else would you know if the case is trash).
I just got mine and its slicker than whale snot! There's no way I would describe this as "grippy". I used the same case for my Zfold5 and they aren't comparable IMO. My old case has a softer feel to it and I never felt like it would just slip out of my hand.
Oh got it, I mostly use clear cases and compared to those this has more grip for me. Btw, will you be keeping it or returning it? I'm trying to return mine and Samsung is telling me that because it's open I cannot, wth.
@@DemCrumblies I haven't thought about returning it but that's terrible for Samsung telling you that they won't accept it because it's been opened. I think I will contact them and see what they say. One thing I've noticed is that they aren't consistent with how they treat customers.
@@waywardwest Yep, this was Samsung Canada I am dealing with, so maybe they are worse and have more strict policies. They told me to wait 1 to 2 days and someone from a higher team would update me if I can return it, so I'm still waiting, but I might have to contact them again. I always buy the Ultra and Fold phone every year from them since the S22 and Fold 4 and I always trade-in my phones with them, so I've spent a decent amount of money with them to get resistance about a case return.
Same exact issue with my case. The left edge does not adhere at all. Moves around and with undoubtedly scratch the frame. Did not have this problem with the 5 but there's more bezel for it to stick to. Disappointing.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Yea the strip is so thin it doesn't leave much surface area to adhere to, but other viewers are commenting that they have no issues with their front case. I think with time, it will definitely dislodge though.
I have the same problem with this case, and so do lots of people on the Samsung Members app. My phone was perfectly cleaned and instructions followed to the letter. Never had a problem with this case on previous Samsung fold phones. This case has a design fault.
Thanks for confirming. When I contacted Samsung order support to return it, they told me I couldn't return it since the box was opened. They just expect customers to be stuck with an inferior product and to take zero accountability. When I spoke to their tech support, they asked me to send a video of the issue, which I did, and they told me they had "no other" complaints about this case... sure. Anyway, if you're stuck with your case, someone mentioned using Gemmel 1.5mm double sided tape with great luck.
@@DemCrumblies Hi. I have spoken with Samsung and they said they will replace because it is faulty. May be try again with them. Last year the same case for my fold 5 had an issue where the pen kept falling out as it was not securing properly, Samsung replaced this as well last year and replacement was OK.
@@QV-YT20 I'm glad to hear that. They told me to wait 1 to 2 days and someone from a higher escalation team will reach out to me to give me an update. I'm dealing with Samsung Canada, how about you?

The wobble kills it for me. So stupid. I want to lie it flat on a table and write normally. I can't do that with the wobble. Defeats the entire purpose of the S Pen. Spiegen usually solves this with their S Pen cases.
This is what I mean, it just seems like a design that is not well thought out overall. Even folded, it still wobbles, at least kill wobble in one area. On top of that, the S Pen can only be used on the inner screen, not the cover screen. I get that most people won't use it on the cover screen, but still I think they can manage to do it for people who want to use it on the cover screen.
@@DemCrumblies I hate this case (too slippery) and I'm going to return it but I think they made the right call making the S-pen main screen only. This way they can tune the feel of plastic on plastic writing. My S24 Ultra S-pen didn't feel good writing on either bare glass or a screen protector.
@@solomonhilliard5357 Let me know how it goes with returning it. Samsung Canada is telling me that I can't return mine because the box is open, it's bs.
This audience is not going to be interested in any cases that do not hold the pen. In fact I would also like a built in stand. I'm going to rock this case until Amazon starts to discount cases for this phone, probably when the next gen is released. Meanwhile you can get this color from Samsung for $50 right now which is a really good deal
Yea I saw it dropped in price recently. 2024 was the first time I started using a case with a built-in kick stand and the kick stand ring doubles as a magsafe wireless charging for my S24 Ultra, now I have seen the light when it comes to kickstands. Thanks for watching : )
I got this case today too and it feels so much better case less 🥲 crafted black has a grippy texture on the back. Just feels so good in the hand and the case actually inspires less confidence imo.
Yea when I had this similar case design on my Fold 5, the front case popped out while I was unfolding the phone and I almost dropped it :| I'll be reviewing some carbon fiber cases soon from Benks that should be fairly thin, so I'll see how those fare when I get to try them.
@DemCrumblies I went through 3 or 4 cases for my Fold 3 including the leather pen case from Samsung. Finally settled on a no-name Amazon armor case with stand and pen holder for $26. Will be using that until I pick up my Fold 6 and Samsung case in a few days. Will miss the stand definitely
@alphaspartan My problem is I use the pen constantly and need a case that holds it since Samsung hasn't figured out how to include a slot. Not griping though since this is the only foldable with a pen
@DemCrumblies how do you like the transparent case ? I had one for Fold 3 from Speck and that was the best with no need of adhesive as the front and back were held together by its own hinge like at the top and bottom.
It's good for the price, but I don't have faith in it for drop protection since it doesn't have cushioned corners and it's 100% hard plastic with no give. I'm mostly using it as a temporary case until I settle on a proper case. Speck sent me their new Presidio clear cases for the Fold 6, which I'll be reviewing in the next 1 to 2 weeks though, along with some other cases from other companies if you're not in a rush to buy one.
Hey sorry I haven't used any other cases from Samsung. However, many people have said that buying thin double sided tape and replacing the tape that comes with this case is a great workaround to the front cover issue. I've pinned in the comments and video description, the brand that most people recommend using, but I've completely switched to cases from other brands personally.
@@yosfooo Oh got it, well I really like the Torras Z Fold 6 case, which has magsafe charging too: ruclips.net/video/EDmaGEUcxmQ/видео.html (but since it has no adhesive, the left side can shift out of place like with the official case, but I've never felt like it would actually pop out when opening the phone). Another case I just reviewed is this one from Poetic Cases: ruclips.net/video/iP_R3ta-qJg/видео.html but the screen protector would have to be punched out and the way to get access to the S Pen isn't ideal. I reviewed another case that houses the S Pen, but it's on the bulkier side: ruclips.net/video/OLWohS9eNPk/видео.html and again, the screen protector would have to be punched out.
Yea it's very annoying. A few viewers mentioned using 1.5mm doubled sided tape from Gennel to fix the issue easily. I put a link to the tape in the pinned comments and in the video description if you plan on keeping the case or if Samsung won't let you return it.
@@DemCrumblies thought it must have been chep. cost me 29.90 AUD but cases are always dearer here same as phones. i paid about the same from a case shop last year but was worth it. but no hinge protection. but no sticky bits either.
@@kimbridge5592 That sucks to hear it's so much because it was on sale during Amazon Prime days. One clear case brand I had great luck with is araree, I view that as a long-term case solution for the price: geni.us/arareef6 (Affiliate Link)
Seems like that is the case, at least in Canada. I see some 3rd party companies selling the S Pen too, which could be another option since the S Pen doesn't have any Bluetooth functionality to allow you to use it as a remote trigger.
@@rsrevel3768 Lol glad you caught it, but seriously, it seems like the only legit way from what I saw unless you wanna take a chance with 3rd party options. Also the S Pen won't work on the cover screen.
Makes me wonder if there's a bad batch then with the adhesives because I also found complaints online on the official Samsung EU community forums about the same issue. Thanks for sharing though because it seems like some people have zero issues with it.
It's the first samsung official case. Of course, it's going to have things that need to be corrected. Nothing is wrong with retrieving the S Pin . I believe your fingers are not that strong. I have the same case, and I don't have any problems retrieving the SPIN. CASE IS DESIGN MORE FOR STYLE NOT DURABILITY. If YOU WANT a strong CASE, GET AN OUTTERBOX.
Hey there, I agree with the S Pen point, I think it's because I didn't use it enough to loosen it up. However, I disagree that it's the first Samsung official case because every generation, they have enough time to test it and improve since this is a multibillion dollar company and there's smaller 3rd party companies that produce better offerings than the official case. Also the design differences between the Z Fold 5 and 6 is quite minimal, so whatever issue they had with the Z Fold 5 case, which I also experienced and that a Samsung store rep confirmed to me that they had enough returns where people were just choosing to run the case with the rear cover only because the front kept popping off or sliding off means they had enough time to iron that issue out for the Z Fold 6 cases.
No such luck, but some other viewers mentioned that they remove their front case and replace it when swapping SIM cards without issue, but I find those claims dubious. Someone else mentioned using Teva double sided tape to help adhere the case back when it's removed, but I'll just be returning my case and hunting for a 3rd party option.
Got my case on Friday and I have the exact same issue with the front cover, left side not adhering. I called Samsung today to exchange. I was hoping it was a defect with my case.
Sorry to hear that. When I bought the Z Fold 5 case and called my local Samsung store to tell them of my issue and to get a replacement, the rep at the store said that there were a handful of complaints with the case and that some buyers just ended up using the rear cover and leaving the front unprotected, so I just returned the case. Was hoping the Fold 6 case would improve, but it hasn't really. I will also be returning this case and using a 3rd party option. I was sent some cases from Benks, Torras and Speck, so I'm going to review those in the coming weeks to see if they fare better.
@@DemCrumblies Last year with the Z Fold 5, it took me three Samsung S Pen cases before I received one that the stylus didn't fall out of when holding the phone when viewing the main screen. I am sending my trade in Z Fold 5 back to Samsung today and last year's case (almost the same design as this year as the left side where we are having the problem this year is essentially the same) was solidly in place. If their cases work they are amazing. This one will be if I can get one manufactured where the adhesive is strong. Fingers crossed! Love the Z Fold 6, I was reluctant to upgrade, but the lighter weight is noticeable. Kiddos are loving the AI drawing!!
@stephaniemontgomery3725 You have more patience than I do with case replacements ; ) Someone in the comments mentioned using Teva doubled sided tape in place or the adhesive that comes with the case, but I haven't personally used that method to see if it works. Something to consider though if you don't have luck with a replacement Z Fold 6 case. Good luck!
To me the deal breaker is the bigger bump on the sPen case. I have a magsafe stick on the back of my Z Fold 5 sPen case and it works great on my Teslas with magsafe Magbak phone holders also on my wireless phone chargers. I just dont think with that bigger bump phone will rest flat and engage the magnets now. I got the Z Fold 5 last year even though sPen is not in chassis because of the sPen case workaround. Was hoping the next iteration Samsung will finally put the sPen in body. Fold 6 no sPen integrated in the body is a huge miss for me and Samsung design flaw on the sPen case makes it a no go. Come on Samsung! Give me a Z Fold phone with sPen in body with magsafe and Ultra level or better cameras. I'd pre-order that phone right away and wouldn't think twice.
100%. Since the Fold 5 I was saying the same thing. Just widen the screen a bit to be able to accommodate an S Pen in body. You raise a good point I never considered, which is for users who want to add magsafe functionality and the back not being flat. I only considered it from a wobble point of view, but even for accessory use like mounting it devices like a car phone holder, handheld tripod, gimbal, etc., it could be problematic. If the Fold 7 is still the same width and they don't put another lens or S Pen or upgrade the wired charging speeds, then they'll really be slipping compared to what the competition is offering.
Are all Foldable Cases fronts with adhesive? This would be bad, I am someone who likes to remove the case from time to time to clean inside from dust and just use the phone the way it is.
I'm not sure about Samsung's other cases, but most cases seem to use adhesive to keep the front cover on. Some viewers have bought 1mm or 1.5mm double sided tape so that they can just reapply as needed whenever they take their case off for cleaning, so that's an option too. I put links to the recommended double sided tape in the pinned comments and video description if you want to consider it.
Excellent video, no one talks about this. I was almost about to buy Z Fold 6, I am glad I saw your video. It gave me one more reason to wait till they are able to figure out how to put the S Pen inside the phone like S 24 ultra. Thanks a lot.
Yeah there are a lot of reasons to get a foldable. The pen is optional. I didn’t use one on my Fold 2 and 4 but I’m going to try this case on my new Fold 6
Thanks for watching. I think unless they can widen the cover screen a bit, they may never give us an in-body S Pen. If an S Pen could be slid into a hollowed out hinge cover on case, that would work also I think.
@@Pkilla1212 yea, but I have been a Note user since Note 2 days, and ever since then, never went back. I use S Pen extensively, so for me the mechanism would wear me off quickly. I currently have S 24 Ultra, so until they come up with some idea of inserting S Pen in the phone itself, I will pass it till then.
I almost dropped my Z Fold 5 because the fold case had popped off while I was opening it, so maybe the way I open it puts too much pressure on the frame. I moved to a clear case from araree that had no adhesives and never had issues with my Fold 5 again. But yea maybe I'm a bit OCD lol.
Hey there, yea, it definitely isn't worth the full retail price. The S Pen that comes with it will only work on the inside wide screen, not on the cover screen. It also doesn't have Bluetooth functionality so you can't use it as a remote trigger for taking photos either.
Do you mean that when you bought the Fold 5 case, it doesn't find your Fold 5 properly? I remember reviewing the Fold 5 case and it had the same issue with the front cover, but I think mine had fit properly.
@@DemCrumblies Yes, when viewed from the side, I notice a gap above the volume rockers because the camera bumps do not align perfectly with the holes in the case.
@@angeldeschain0 I guess I didn't keep my Z Fold 5 case long enough to check it carefully, but it sucks that Samsung's own case has that type of substandard fitment.
They also denied my return in Canada. Where are you located? The Samsung forums also have a couple of threads about others experiencing the same issue.
Yep, even the case from last year, one of their store reps told me that some people were just using the rear case portion and omitting the front due to it popping off or shifting too much. I can't believe this is accepted as a business practice. They want you to foresee the future and guess at product performance before placing an order.
Probably easiest to pry it up from the top left corner or bottom left corner gently. Just not sure how well it will adhere back once you do that. Some people say it goes back and still adheres strongly, but that wasn't the case with me.
That flimsy part of the front case is you're fault really.. mines rock solid because I cleaned that area before putting the case on.. kinda common sense if you tried putting any tape on any greasy area it just won't stick. 😂 now the only thing I wished Samsung has a slim case with hinge protection. And I have reused front cases and they worked just fine as long you clean the area and keep the adhesives clean
That part in the video when I applied the front cover showed the screen was clean. I also used the case for the Z Fold 5 last time, same issue. The left bezel is so thin that there isn't enough surface area to offer enough room to proper adhesion. Plus, if you ever want to access your sim card, change out a screen protector, clean your phone, once you remove the front case, it won't adhere back with the same strength, it's a pretty weak design. Also where your fingers naturally rest near the hinge to open it up will exert pressure on that thin bezel and in combination with temperature changes, it won't have proper longevity. When I returned the Z Fold 5 case the Samsung rep even said he had tons of complaints about it and that some people were just running the case with the back cover and omitting the front case completely. If you're having good luck with it, that's great, but for how I use my phone and open it, it won't last. Much better options out there from 3rd party companies.
S Pen case with hinge protection would be the perfect case. But I heard Samsung doesn't make their cases with hinge protection because they believe it traps things in the hinge area that could cause problems
@@manegrindshard That makes sense. The ZF6 is supposed to have IP48 protection now to prevent particles over 1mm from entering, but dust is still smaller than that. I remember I reviewed a bulky case from Ghostek with hinge protection and the hinge could be angled out to open it up to clean the hinge. It had a hollow area in the hinge housing when you angled it out that could have been perfect to fit an S Pen, but it's a super chunky case. I still want Samsung to widen the screen enough so that maybe they can house a slim S Pen in the body one day.
I used a lint free cloth before applying the case, I think it might show in the video that the front glass was clean, but I didn't use any alcohol wipes since the package didn't come with any, so maybe that would help further? However, even with the way I open the phone, my fingers rest and exert pressure on that thin frame, so I feel like the surface area for adhesion is already too slim for a really strong bond.
@DemCrumblies I agree with you that the cases for the fold phone are just designed poorly. The adhesive is just a bad idea. I believe simply just because the way the phone is designed, no one has come up with a better design yet. Let us pray that they will soon, lol. I just got fold 6 today, actually a few days ahead of the official release. Im excited to play with my new toy. Hopefully this case protects it enough. Thank you for your content.
@@chadm5263 Nice, which color did you get btw? The Silver Shadow? I think a good workaround is using a hinge cover that way the fingers rest on the hinge cover and not the side frame like with that cheap plastic case I had on before. The cheapo plastic case also lets you pop the hinge cover off if you don't want it, it's pretty good, I just don't expect it to survive any falls being all hard plastic. Enjoy your ZF6 and thanks for watching : )
@DemCrumblies I picked the sliver you mentioned. Although that blue is sharp as well. My thinking is for me the color isn't really that important because I always keep a case on it. For now I think I'm actually just going to order the cheapo case and use for a month or so. After abit of time after release we should get a much bigger selection of cases. It's just sp limited for now. I think in the end I want a case with S pen storage.
@@chadm5263 Yea good call. I think the gray case I reviewed is on sale at half price on Samsung.com right now btw. I'll be reviewing some 3rd party cases soon (none from Spigen), but I saw they some pretty nice looking cases, just a bit costly.
Definitely possible esp if dust or sand gets in, but I always run hard plastic cases when I had the Fold 4 and 5 and I always trade it in mint condition because the gorilla glass is pretty resilient.
I used a lint free cloth to wipe it clean before application, but Samsung didn't include any alcohol wipes in the package. If I give this case a try next time around with the Z Fold 7, I'll try that first if it's the same design to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip.
That's lucky. Let me know how you find it when you apply yours if you have the same issues I did, or if yours is fine. Another viewer mentioned that his case is fine because he thoroughly cleaned the glass before applying the front case. I cleaned my screen too, but didn't have the same positive experience as he did.
Yea I hear you and agree, but others are saying the case works just fine for them without it moving. I don't think I'm opening the phone aggressively to exert that much pressure to lodge the frame out of place.
Thanks for the confirmation Jeff. There are other viewers who mentioned that they have experienced zero issues with their case and that I applied it improperly, but it's just not a well thought out design.
Look I don't know why you're even reviewing this case no one's going to be dumb enough to put it on their phone it's just there temporarily until someone goes and gets a proper case. I mean what are you expecting for something that comes free of charge?
Dang I had to around $70 CAD for it on sale so I got taken lol. Some of the comments said the case is solid and that I installed it improperly, so enough people seem to like it, but I'm not sticking with it for sure.
Respectfully dissagree with your review. What are your expectations? It`s a phone case. Yes, everything in life requires some kind of effort , removing an S pen from its enclosure it`s not a workout as you seem to suggest. I`ve had zero issues with this case even after swapping it with two others. Again, we all have different opinions .
I'm glad if your experience has been great with it, but there are others reporting the same issues as I encountered with the front cover. I don't have a big issue with the S Pen since I feel that's a secondary concern. I just expect better from Samsung since they are the first to the party in terms of designing a case to perfectly adapt to their devices when I see 3rd party options performing better.
It's one of the most expensive phone cases on the market. I think it's reasonable to have high expectations. It's like a hundred bucks. It's designed to protect a $2,000 phone. And when you look at it it's basically just $6 worth of plastic and an incredibly inelegant pen solution. This would be a good case for 40 bucks maybe.
Really bad design choice from Samsung. Front display cover has extreme protrusion. Insanely annoying while typing etc, always having my thumb rubbing into the lips. Going to ditch this case as soon as possible. Rubbish
Exactly. It's THEIR phone. Out of all the companies making cases, they have the most time to try, test and perfect a case, but they still come up short. They're just putting in half effort at this point.
I prefer to buy the case and be happy with it instead of whining, but it's just not well designed considering finger placement when opening and closing will vary by user and the pressure exerted on the frame will vary by user too. Just showing how the case functions so others who use their phone like I do can avoid wasting time on this case when much better 3rd party options are available. If it works for you without issue, glad to hear it.

Z Fold 6 S Pen Case broke withing 3 days ruclips.net/video/uZD9L61JHXY/видео.html
I'm sticking with my Z Fold 5, don't like the bigger bump on the sPen case as I use magsafe stickons to make it work with my existing magsafe phone mounts.
same ive never had a issue and I took my case off many time and it stuck back just fine
Yep you're right, once I adjusted position, it's easier now.
He is useless , holding it at totally wrong angle to get it out easy
Too expensive to repair but I understand wanting to use it as intended
Followed the advice of those that said to get new two-sided tape for the flimsy side of the case and it worked like a charm solid and does not move anymore my bad for not prepping it and putting it on right the first time
Glad to hear it's working as intended now. Which brand of two-sided tape did you use btw?
Thanks for your thoughtful review of the case.
I'm going transition to Z Fold next year as my Note 10 is still working great. So I hope the issues you mention will get addressed by then.
Yep hopefully, if not, there are other great 3rd party options available too.
It's good to see somebody still rocking the Note 10. My Note 9 still works although it's not my daily phone anymore but it could be if I needed it to be
I found the small strip when it moves actually scratchs the screen with any bits of debris
Thank you for saving me from potential disaster! The movement in the front screen protector is a deal-breaker for me.
I saw another reviewer have the same issue with his case straight away. I wonder if applying a better two-sided tape would have better results.
Someone in the comments mentioned using Teva double sided tape with success on the Z Fold 5 case, so it should work just as good I think.
There should be a more of raised lip around the cameras. It's basically flushed and doesn't provide much protection.
Yea it could be a bit higher, but since it already wobbles so much, I guess they didn't want to make it too high.
It’s definitely raised in real life trust me

Can you use wireless charging whike having the s pen case on?
Yep, even though it doesn't sit flush, it's enough for wireless charging to activate.
Not griping though since this is the only foldable with a pen
index finger is better to get it out
@DemCrumblies how do you like the transparent case ? I had one for Fold 3 from Speck and that was the best with no need of adhesive as the front and back were held together by its own hinge like at the top and bottom.
It's good for the price, but I don't have faith in it for drop protection since it doesn't have cushioned corners and it's 100% hard plastic with no give. I'm mostly using it as a temporary case until I settle on a proper case. Speck sent me their new Presidio clear cases for the Fold 6, which I'll be reviewing in the next 1 to 2 weeks though, along with some other cases from other companies if you're not in a rush to buy one.
Do you know of any non OEM alternatives which provide a compatible pen but doesnt come with this vulnerability?
Hey sorry I haven't used any other cases from Samsung. However, many people have said that buying thin double sided tape and replacing the tape that comes with this case is a great workaround to the front cover issue. I've pinned in the comments and video description, the brand that most people recommend using, but I've completely switched to cases from other brands personally.
Thanks ..I was actually asking if you're aware of a pen case from another brand which can be a good alternative to this one
@@DemCrumblies thanks much appreciated
I have the same issue really annoying that the front left side of the case has not got stronger adhesive on it.
Yea it's very annoying. A few viewers mentioned using 1.5mm doubled sided tape from Gennel to fix the issue easily. I put a link to the tape in the pinned comments and in the video description if you plan on keeping the case or if Samsung won't let you return it.
just puechased the clear case from your link. thank you
Great! I just view the clear case as a temporary case to keep my phone protected until I get a more durable option.
Can you only get the Samsung Brand Zf6 spen by purchasing the case?..
Seems like that is the case, at least in Canada. I see some 3rd party companies selling the S Pen too, which could be another option since the S Pen doesn't have any Bluetooth functionality to allow you to use it as a remote trigger.
@@DemCrumblies "Seems like that is the case.." ....................................You did that on purpose! 🫨
@@rsrevel3768 Lol glad you caught it, but seriously, it seems like the only legit way from what I saw unless you wanna take a chance with 3rd party options. Also the S Pen won't work on the cover screen.
Interesting. I got the pink case to match my pink fold 6 and the front cover feels like it’s cemented onto the phone. It doesn’t move at all!
How does the pen charge?
Since it doesn't have any Bluetooth functionality, it doesn't charge in any way. Basically, you're just using the pen tip.
beinge squarer i was hoping the cases would not need sticky stuff this year. as i like to change my cases
@@Pkilla1212 Let me know how your experience is. Btw, others have mentioned that the gray color is half off on sale right now.
@@Pkilla1212 yea, but I have been a Note user since Note 2 days, and ever since then, never went back. I use S Pen extensively, so for me the mechanism would wear me off quickly.

I dont think its a design flaw at all. I liked it for my fold 5. Ordered it with my zf6. The front piece doesnt bother me much. Not ocd 😂

@@DemCrumblies It wasn't the phone case, but my camera. I tried it on my sister's phone and it fit perfectly. Mine had the camera too far out.
@@angeldeschain0 Oh so did you use the wrong case maybe?
I am currently contemplating taking this to the newspapers as Samsung refused to replace mine after 1 month.
They also denied my return in Canada. Where are you located? The Samsung forums also have a couple of threads about others experiencing the same issue.
@DemCrumblies I'm in the UK. Clearly they know the depth of the problem however the cost clearly outweighs the custom.
Yep, even the case from last year, one of their store reps told me that some people were just using the rear case portion and omitting the front due to it popping off or shifting too much. I can't believe this is accepted as a business practice. They want you to foresee the future and guess at product performance before placing an order.
My problem now is how to remove the front case
Probably easiest to pry it up from the top left corner or bottom left corner gently. Just not sure how well it will adhere back once you do that. Some people say it goes back and still adheres strongly, but that wasn't the case with me.
Would it fit z fold 4?
Nope, every model requires a different case.
@manegrindshard i agree I stopped using hinge covered cases since the fold 2.. things would get stuck in there using the spigen hinge protector case
My z fold 5 s pen case is soild in the area your saying is a design flaw. If the 6 is the same then I think you put it on wrong.
I feel it has a oot less grip than last years model. That was disappointing.
Someone else mentioned that too. I guess I didn't use last years model long enough to pick up on that.
You should clean the phone first. As you said, your oily fingers are leaving residue on the phone, which is causing your adadhesive to fail.
The hard plastic cheap case will most likely scratch the phone all too hell
Definitely possible esp if dust or sand gets in, but I always run hard plastic cases when I had the Fold 4 and 5 and I always trade it in mint condition because the gorilla glass is pretty resilient.
Yours suppose to clean it all around with Alcohol before applying the front case area.
I used a lint free cloth to wipe it clean before application, but Samsung didn't include any alcohol wipes in the package. If I give this case a try next time around with the Z Fold 7, I'll try that first if it's the same design to see how it goes. Thanks for the tip.
Go thing that I got the S-Pen case with my Fold 6 for free😊
That's lucky. Let me know how you find it when you apply yours if you have the same issues I did, or if yours is fine. Another viewer mentioned that his case is fine because he thoroughly cleaned the glass before applying the front case. I cleaned my screen too, but didn't have the same positive experience as he did.
anyone have a line on replacement adhesive? If i could buy a cheap roll of extra tape i wouldnt mind mixing my cases up more frequently.
Similar case as this one. I used Teva double side tape and just cut out replacement for my Fold 5.
@@agarcia22625 Good to know, thanks for sharing : )
Ill save you some time : the adhesive pads arnt good enough
Yea I hear you and agree, but others are saying the case works just fine for them without it moving. I don't think I'm opening the phone aggressively to exert that much pressure to lodge the frame out of place.
You are right. That is terrible and a bad design.
That is not that bad to remove
Do you mean the front cover or the S Pen?
I never really liked Samsung cases.I feel like they're designed to break your phone LO.L
I almost broke mine with the Z Fold 5 official case because the front case popped off while I was opening it and I almost dropped my phone lol.
S pen does not trigger camera shutter. Boring
Yea this Slim type of S Pen has no Bluetooth functionality : |
@DemCrumblies And the pro one is way tall and doesn't fit on any case. Missing my S22 Ultra stylus
@@deltaview2151 Yea it's like a handicapped experience with the Fold overall when you factor out the screen.
@@DemCrumblies True. I am still keeping the fold.6 pre-ordered. Screen is the only Trump card
@@deltaview2151 Let me know how you find it thermals wise when you get it. I noticed it got overly warm a few times even without doing much.
Somebody new will be on the black version of this case?

Didn't understand friend, your message translates as "Wrong medicine" when I use auto-translate.
whine whine whine
I prefer to buy the case and be happy with it instead of whining, but it's just not well designed considering finger placement when opening and closing will vary by user and the pressure exerted on the frame will vary by user too. Just showing how the case functions so others who use their phone like I do can avoid wasting time on this case when much better 3rd party options are available. If it works for you without issue, glad to hear it.
idiot
where can i buy the clear case?
It's the geni.us/qzf6 (Affiliate Link) or "Qoosea for Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 Case with Hinge Protection Hard PC & Comfortable Skin Feel Shock Absorption Anti-Fall Non-Slip Anti-Yellowing Protective Case for Galaxy Z Fold 6 2024 (Clear)"
