What it do, bro? Just going to say I love you for reacting to Protest The Hero. Top 3 band of all time for me and no one ever reacts to them. They're mindblowing. If you want more recommendations of them, I can list a few absolute belters for you. They have so many influences, they have some prog sounds, some jazz like you mention, some blues rythms. Usually thought-provoking lyrics, full concept albums, and musical talent like no other. I know everyone mentions the vocals, but the guitar work in this band is second to none imo.
Protest the hero one of my favorite bands of all time. I’ve been listening to them since 2006. I heard there first project Kezia and was blown away but magically they get better every project. It’s literally insane. Definitely check out The album Fortress as well.
Enjoyed the reaction! Love this band & this album. If you never do another reaction to their music, still highly recommend listening to more in your own time.
10/10 reaction, also realized just how underrated having the lyrics are in the listening process. It really is a game changer and adds to the experience
I had a fun time relistening to this with you, man. I highly recommend Limb From Limb and its music video by these gentlemen. It's easily my favorite Protest song and one of their best for sure.
i was just gonna comment that i too had trouble hearing the lyrics, so i looked them up and listened to it again, which sent me on a whole wiki rabbit hold i wasn't prepared for. the long and short of it is there happened to be an acrobat on board that was a popular scapegoat as someone who could've feasibly planted a bomb because he was heard making anti-n**i jokes. there were two people who wrote books about how they wouldn't accept any other conclusion. note: this was well after the war. and they were sued for defamation the wiki has a bunch of info on the Hindenburg disaster that, if you wanna know more, i recommend looking it up.
Oh, I'm so glad you reacted to this, and you actually seemed to enjoy it. They have an incredible catalog, all the way back to their album. They are talented and so underrated . Please, if nothing else check them out for yourself. You won't be disappointed. ❤️
This song is about the Hindenburg blimp that crashed in 1937. A few of the songs on this album are about aerial accomplishments/disasters. Edit: Wrote that before your reaction at the end of the video. lol. Good reaction, man.
Good reaction, glad you liked it. If you're interested in checking out more Protest, I think the song Bloodmeat would be the perfect next step, as it shows more of their metal roots, as well as it being off one of their earliest albums, whereas From The Sky is off the latest.
I always love that all of us Protest fans have a different favorite song. I saw a bunch, but mine is, and may always be, Plato's Tripartite. It should say something about the band that not every PTH fan loves one to three songs. We truly appreciate the entire discography. I do not entirely aspire to the politics (I believe the left to have been the "Hero" since the 60s) because it is from an out of perspective POV (Canadian), I do think the music is amazing. Also, this album makes me appreciate what tribulations the United States went through to make one of the most successful civilizations the world has ever seen. They are very smart. I just wish they understood MAGA is more about domestic industry and not whatever people are trumpeting at the time.

I got to hang with them on their usa kezia tour with trivium
I hung with them in San Francisco outside of Slims in 2008. Rody wasn't old enough to drink yet.
Same here.
Sounds amazing 👌

Protest is so damn good. One of my favorite bands ever.

I took the “Good disciple, but wicked master” as “Fires a very useful tool when you’re controlling it, but god help you if it’s controlling you.”
Protest the Hero doesn't get the attention deserved. Your reaction and attention to lyrics was much appreciated.
Thank you YT alg for suggesting this.
I think you would really like C'est La Vie from them, it's a great track with a simple to follow theme lyrically but just SO FUN
Nice reaction, great analysis👌

Protest reaction = quick sub
Rody is one of the best singers in metal dude.
Check out their stuff from their first 4 albums

I highly recommend Heretics and Killers due to the writing.
