It's so weird to me that, a game that from the outside looks like some weird amalgam of space ninja and looter-shooter things, is in its core a story about the shaping of one's image, and the appreciation of what we are, and as the Lotus herself said, of what we want to be
I was amazed by this video and disappointed when I realised that this is the only warframe video you have made. this is an incredible analysis and I would love to hear more about warframe in particular, I hope this video gets the recognition it deserves and inspires you to make more warframe content soon. keep it up bro
@@benwright3463 thank you so much! The recognition it’s gotten so far feels great and I am already working on another Warframe video because of the success of this one. Thanks for the encouragement!
Very nice analysis to parallel the stories of Natah and Margulis! They are endlessly fascinating characters to pick apart because even their personalities seem to correspond with the 3 Alignment Choices: Natah representing Sun, Lotus representing Balance, Margulis representing Moon. The Yin and Yang symbolism extends to the Lotus' fractured identities. In The New War epilogue, when Natah is chosen, she says, "The times ahead will need decisiveness. Power." While Margulis says, "Narmer has divided the world. We need healing." And Lotus, who speaks for both of them, says, "We will need compassion and strength in equal measure." So I love that you brought up the points of "Natah wanted children" and "Margulis wanted the destruction of the Orokin". The Lotus is so perfect an embodiment of Balance, that even her different facets have their own contrasting Yins and Yangs of Motive and Personality. The Sentient made for something as destructive as war, wants to raise children of her own. She sheds her strength for compassion. The Archimedean who nurtured and raised her surrogate children, wants the destruction of an egregiously oppressive empire. She sheds her compassion for strength. Both beings tied together by the Tenno they love... They really are tooth-rottingly poetic. Thank you for this video :)
It's a deeply ugly setting, every corner of which that I've explored makes me...uncomfortable. That isn't a criticism. To make a world so repellent and yet demanding so earnestly to be explored is a great accomplishment
The one thing I noticed missing here would be how a very important character has took our pain away in a very major way. The Drifter took the greatest pain we took (the anguish of Ballas and the death he gave us) and restored our life and connection to this universe, at the very expense of him leaving the quasi-Sanctuary that is Duviri, exposing themselves into a world of immense pain and suffering. The Operator took the greatest pain the Drifter experienced (the pain of monotony and the loss of humanity) and restored their emotions, at the expense of the annihilation of every single version of ourselves save for the Drifter. With us being able to switch back and forth into Operator and Drifter, we give our two "selves" the power to share the pain of moving forward in this shattered world, making it a little bit more bearable.

Perhaps a spoiler warning on the front would be warranted. Some of the immediate things covered are *massive* spoilers and reveals that occur late into the game that change the nature of the story dramatically. These were huge moments upon release that revolutionized the game for many of us and should do the same for new players who have yet to experience all the game has to offer.
I guess that's why it's called an Analysis and not a simple review. Reviews can be and often are spoiler free but an analysis requires a deep dive to discuss everything of note. That said a spoiler warning at the beginning would have been nice.
@MrEffectfilms Yes the game is still ongoing but with how far story updates are spaced out nowadays a large majority of players are "finished with it".
You know you kind of made me realize that the probable reason for why the adults and parents became so angry and fearful on the Zariman. Wally wad made from that moment of fear and by aleinating and warping the adults as they did inevitably the Tenno would as they explored their powers try to help them, understand them and in doing so learn the foundations of transferanfe and of skipping through the void to real space. In other words if it wants to get back into real space just like Albrecht we were made into the perfect tool to get somethingbaffiliated with the void into reality.
A bit worried that the narrator seems to have the concept of brother and sister reversed... And the lack of our buddy Cy. We helped him get over his PTSD, and he gives us a better voiced cephalon to listen to. And unlike Ordis's "cutsy owl" form, I'd bet that if Cy gets a robot form it'll be more akin to a wolf or an eagle.
Judge me, criticise me, do whatever you want..but there will be no other game like Warframe if it's gone, gameplay, lore, good messages behind the journeys.. this game is literally different from everything I've ever seen in my whole life, it's not like some whatever bullshit like First descendant.. no soul..no death..no love just a sexualization product towards female characters for literally no reason.. and for the last time, do not try to compare this with warframe.. Equal genres at least.. This game is art.. I've been playing since i was 13 years old ago.. and never stopped.. i like other games like Metroid, Castlevania.. Destiny is fun, the bosses mechanics are unique but I don't have the same freedom in warframe, i don't a cool arsenal fullfil with things i have conquered with my hard work, i don't have a cool looking armor which i can feel like literally a God.. It's the same freedom i don't have at no other game like this, i can turn any frame i have into any character from movies or games, i turned my hydroid into Davy Jones, my mag to Magneto, my future Dagath to the headless knight from Ichabod.. That was my message for my fellow Tenno brothers..
