It is one of the best engine bikes i have ever owned , i have ridden it for 65000 miles ( above 100000 kms ) and forget breakdowns and engine repairs, it still feels and drives like it was it was at 5000kms. Such smooth refinement and reliability! 🙋♂️
I was "between" bikes for about 8 years. I kinda wanted another one but didn't know which way to go. I tried to get another Yamaha BT1100, but jeez they have gone up in value. I stumbled upon the Interceptor while "following" Itchyboots on her himalayan. Saw the Interceptor, and thought, I'm having that. Got it in February and honestly haven't regretted it for 1 second, great bike. PS, I'm 6ft 4in and it fits me. OK its no speed machine but it happily plods along at (or above) motorway speeds with loads left, in the right hand. Lots of misinformation from people who have never ridden one. Best bike for the money I've seen

Biggest tragedy is, there are no Royal Enfield dealers in the USA. This is a beautiful, classically styled, "British" standard. Simple, easy to ride, comfortable, reliable...think Triumph Bonneville, or Yamaha XS650. I hope the aftermarket supports it so you could make your own cafe racer, scrambler, bobber, chopper, etc.
Not sure of where you are at I I know here in Texas we have several. Been to the one in Austin and New Brunsfels they both have a nice selection and very knowledgeable of the brand as well as history. It's growing fast here and they have a hard time keeping models on the floor

@@binauppal876 Honestly i couldn't be more happy with it. I ride 30 miles every day to work and back on all sorts of roads. I do quite a lot of filtering/lane splitting and it's perfect. It's not the quickest bike in the world, you really have to be in the right gear if you want to squeeze power out of it but it's suprising capable in the twisties and it's been a great starter bike. Not enough power to get in trouble but just enough to remind me that I have a lot to learn. It has really good fuel economy and even with the stock seat it's very comfortable. If you're planning on doing a lot of motorway/highway riding i'd probably recommend getting a little wind visor thing too. Good luck on your direct access :)

I've got the GT 650. Great ride/review! I'm installing Trip Machine leather grip wraps to my bars because the grips feel slightly smaller than other bikes.
When you are too heavy for the bike, you can mess up the front wheel camber and toe in. Best course of action in such case would be to ride only on the back wheel, to avoid damaging the front one.
I have the Interceptor too. Been riding it for two years now. Loving it. The seats are a mess, though. And the pegs hitting the calves. otherwise all good
Ditch the foot-peg return-spring, drill hole in housinf add ball-bearing and spring, corresponding 'indent' on the peg, so you can flick it up and it holds there , got this set-up on my 73 TX650 Cafe...it works . Dave nz

Royal Enfield riding on English roads looks like homecoming for Royal Enfield as it has its humble origins in UK and then it moved to india during ww2 to meet long demands. I think Indian company should start manufacturing in UK and also R&D.
They already have an R&D center in UK. I don't think manufacturing will be possible, because of huge gap in minimum wages in europe and india (where there's no such thing as minimum wage tbh).
The bars are 22mm (7/8 inch) so standard size, but not Harley 25mm (1 inch). I have big hands and (purchased via Ebay) and installed "Big Port Motorcycle Handlebar 7/8" 22mm Grips Ribbed Black Cafe Racer Retro Bike" grips. They're they same size as the 1" grips, but fit the smaller bar.
You tune one of these properly and you would be surprised that it's power and torque can bump up by another 50%, just shows how detuned the engine is. Still not satisfied? get one of those 865 big bores, plonk it in and tune it up to 90horses.

I think it would be a pain in the wide open Aussie countryside. Great on British B roads and the ant hills they call towns. I Live in Southern WA, open straight rubbish roads....always had a big bike because of that. Try riding a small bike 140ks one way to nearest town...City use and Sunday rides good...I hear it's a top machine....definitely excellent first bike ....more comfortable than a 250 and cheaper than the 650 yamaha cruiser

You might "wish" for a Triumph up until the transmission locks up and the company won't give you the time of day.

Tbh you only need the rear wheel anyway. Front wheel has no power in it and only increases friction when in contact with the road

Yep, tec bike parts cannon silencers and joint sheild with baffles removed. Factory tyres are shite that's why no confidence in corners. Also sounds like its fitted with free flow air filter and snorkel removed. Only 47 horses, feels like more eh. Sounds like you enjoyed it. Foot peg position isn't the best.
