- In this video, I'll be reviewing/revisiting the iPhone 6s in 2023, almost 8 years after its release. I'll list all the specs, such as the processing speed, display resolution and camera quality, state my opinion on weather or not it's still usable or worth purchasing, and it's up to you to decide what you think.

Short answer: Yes if minimal usage like texting, surfing, watching video etc.

4:47 The 3G shutdown affected the iPhone 5S and older. I think the iPhone 6S is unusable in 2023 because iOS 15 runs so slowly on it.

I have an iPhone 6S Plus Space grey 128GB on iOS 13.7. Usable?
My son gave me his 6s years ago when he traded up. It's my first and only iphone so I don't know any different, it works perfectly for me. I'll wait to upgrade at the time it is no longer supported. I run ios 15.7.9 or whatever the last update is.
I have a iPhone 6s on iOS 9.3.3 that I got off of eBay for 54$, with the box! I will make a video of it soon enough! It’s also rose gold!

I don't care for my 6s' too much, as they are extremely laggy on iOS 14, but they are beautiful phones, and I've always wanted a rose gold one.
I have a iPhone 6s on iOS 14 and it doesn’t lag you liar 🤥
I have one on iOS 13, 2 on iOS 14, and one on iOS 15 and none of them lag.

i have a 6s as a spare phone works fine battery life is poor even tho ive recently fitted a new battery my nokia g40 phone has battery that can last 3 days but all in all the 6s is so good for a old phone and the design looks so nice
I saw on eBay iPhone 6s Plus mint space gray on iOS 9.3 I think but it’s listed for 300 dollars is that good price?
Iam a huge Apple collector I have every single iPhone on the original os iPhone 2g on iPhone os one to iPhone 7 on iOS 10 but I don’t have the iPhone 6s or se on iOS 9 and I don’t have iPhone 5s on iOS 7 to finish it but yesterday my grandma has iPhone 5s cuz the 3g shutdown she give me her phone and it’s surprising it’s on iOS 7.0.3 32gb iam very happy cuz she give me her old phone 🎉

Given the age of the phone, it would be best to avoid ios 15.
In a few days, it will be possible to downgrade the iphone 6s.
But for security reasons, it's best to stick with the latest software version.
But if it's a secondary phone or something else, it's no big deal.
iOS 15 doesn't run as well on the iPhone 6S, my other ones on iOS 13 and 14 run much better.
So i own iPhone 6s plus which is basically iPhone 6s with a bigger battery. although this is pretty solid phone to use if you don't use the camera so much, the audio quality isn't bad but I don't think that it's good ether. more about the screen, it's small but very nice to use and for given 60 hrzs I can say that it doesn't really look slow. flash is pretty bad and it gets laggy when it gets a bit hot. personally buying a better phone is just better value because it has more things than iPhone 6.6s and 6s plus, but for a phone which was made in 2015 to last this long to 2023 doesn't mean that you have to change it ASAP.
i think it will last like 2 more years
6s plus has OIS... and it is a good OIS. It is even better than my 12 mini's OIS (or maybe because the phone is big)
I've personally never owned a 6S Plus, but I own two 6 Plus', one on iOS 8 and one on iOS 9. I love them and would gladly main one if I could, and I'd love to see what a 6S Plus is like.
interesting, I dropped my 11 in the water and am using a 6s plus in the meantime while I wait for the 15, and it runs like dogshit on the current OS lol, it's like running an old laptop with an HDD on some of the applications.
