    One thing I forgot to mention! Recovery from Tramadol addiction, in my experience, can take longer than other opiates. The low mood and low energy in particular but other thing such as insomnia and restless legs too. But with the correct diet, exercise, supplements etc you can help your recovery along. Check out my videos on PAWS for more tips . I promise it will get better🙏🏼 Keep moving forward! Much love

      Does suboxone help with the depression withdrawals? And don’t you think that by going on suboxone you are simply swapping one substance for another and are still enslaved to a drug?

    My addiction started in 2017 taking 15 mg per day, to 2021 taking 20 pills of 50 mg per day. Suffered an overdose, I almost died. Started slowing the dose (one pill per week), by 10 pills, I knew I was in hell. Among other things, your videos kept me alive Tim, and for that I will be eternally grateful. I now know what pure nightmarish hell feels, and just knowing that today I'm clean and alive is enough to be grateful.

    I’ve been taking them for 10 year now. My Mrs gets a script every 2 weeks and hardly uses them. Been through so many withdrawals. I have access to codeine too so I would just take them to help.
    As you say, it’s the headspace and energy you get from them that’s so good.

    I'm 62 now and if I have to stay on the Espranor for the rest of my days I think so be it .
    I was taking about 10 50mg capsules of tramadol a day at the height of my addiction. ,also topping up with codeine , i know some people were taking a lot more .
    But you are so right Tim the withdrawal from Tramadol is horrendous ,the restless leg syndrome, aches and pains,anxiety depression is awful .

    Is it just me or does tramadol, unlike other opioids, give a lot of weird intrusive thoughts, racing mind, an inner critic as well as dreams that are unpleasant due to just how bizarre the dreams are? I think this is happening to me even though my daily tramadol dose is so low (25-50 mg)

    • @TimJohnsonrecovery

      @DickGazInYa 2 месяца назад

      Same. I've been prescribed all sorts of "bad" and "highly addictive" meds in the past and never once moved on to harder drugs or had withdrawals etc... It really just comes down to self control and it's a shame people who actually need these meds are denied because people cannot control themselves. Much like alcohol addiction (which you can buy anywhere) or obesity. I don't see the FDA shutting down fast food restaurants or pulling alcohol from the shelves, but pills.... oh no... those are bad because some people cannot control themselves so everyone has to suffer. This is a people problem, not a drug problem.

    I'm 5 months off both O-DSMT (O-Desmetramadol) + Kratom and still feeling like absolute hell! Endless anxiety, depression, anhedonia, fatigue, low energy and motivation. Plus, still dealing with physical symptoms such as hot flashes, heart palpitations and just bad malaise. I'm so sick of having to live like this! Please tell me when it will get better! I feel for you my friend 🙏🏼 Firstly it’s fantastic you’ve been free of both these things for 5 months, that takes alot of strength! I was exactly the same as you at 5 months , especially fatigue! All I can promise is that if you keep going , making sure your eating and hydrated well. Supplements like strong b vitamins, magnesium, omega 3 (1000mg) and zinc all helped me and even pushing yourself to move/ walk outside daily all slowly brought me back to full strength! You will get there , your brain and body will heal I promise! Have a look at my videos on PAWS they may help you. Good luck 🙏🏼

      Don't worry your brain is not fried you just need some time to heal and treat you depression amd fatigue you'll start to feel normal again, iv done worse shit like computer duster and alot ALOT in just a few months did it everyday after I got sober and had some time to heal and treated my depression a bit I felt fine again. I read books, paint, play piano and guitar play card games and puzzles and think deeply about the world, you'll be fine the human body has incredible healing, when I think of real superpowers I think of how we can heal from lots of things

      @@martinevans5000 I did a really brief taper for a month, but the interdose withdrawals became so bad I couldn't taper down anymore. I went like a week without sleep and thought I was going to die. So I said fuck it and just quit cold turkey after that.
      The acute withdrawals weren't so bad but the PAWS was what did me under. Like I said, I'm still suffering badly from PAWS after 9 months. I can't work and can't function at all. I assume I won't normalize at all until at least 2 years.
      If you can taper down to zero, that's definitely better than cold turkey. Some people like me though just can't taper.
      Kratom is as difficult to get off as any hardcore opiate/opioid. I know someone who tried to quit for 7 years and never was able to do it.
      Good luck to both you and I to get out of this hell we've dug ourselves into!
