    Sharkbite + pex make sense in some applications for the homeowner but they are so expensive cpvc is better for basic repairs. In many cases you could make a half dozen mistakes with cpvc and still come out cheaper than buying 1 Sharkbite fitting

    10 minutes - and assuming you have a very expensive crimping tool.

      The crimping tool is $68 at Home Depot. A little pricey maybe, but much cheaper than hiring this job out.
