Solving homelessness is not a money problem it's a policy problem. The homeless are addicted to drugs, alcohol, often refuse medical and psychiatric help. San Fransisco has been spending billions of dollars on building apartments, yet so many are still homeless. Its an incentive for homeless to come to get free housing, which exacerbates the problem in the city.
Real talk why did we not figure out cheap, spacious, well insulated, modular houses by now? I mean if you subsidised the shit out of them maybe they could reach a cost of 2 years median wage of any given country. How the fuck are people figuring out tranche shorting, satellite boosted oil trade, tofu dregs and not this.

@@Leeches- This explains USA but not the rest of western world, Singapore and city of Vienna seem to be the only 2 entities handling the housing crisis the best. @@jhBravoit’s because (specifically Vienna I’m not sure about Singapore) they set up their housing market to be majority public owned a hundred years ago after WW1. Everyone else is too far gone now, special interests (NIMBY’s, zoning restrictions, city tax structure, anti-homeless sentiment) are just too powerful put together because of the amount of time those structures have developed.

This sounds like how policy and stakes are handled by a "Kengan match"
