I’m saying these people aren’t usually crazy because most people who believe in them are decently intelligent and inquisitive people. Most just have very limited research skills (a huge failing of school systems across the world), and eventually they just start sounding crazy because the internet is teeming with misinformation. Important context: Tristan starts the debate with a 25 minute opening statement (longer than this entire video). Destiny decides to use a minute or two of his opening statement because he doesn't understand Tristan's position and wants him to clarify, then for the rest of the debate Tristan keeps telling him to just go back and listen to his opening statement (something Tristan apparently memorised because he seems unable to elaborate on any point he mentions) and insists Destiny has been talking longer than him.

I’m saying these people aren’t usually crazy because most people who believe in them are decently intelligent and inquisitive people. Most just have very limited research skills (a huge failing of school systems across the world), and eventually they just start sounding crazy because the internet is teeming with misinformation. I was one of these people before I went to University to become a researcher. Once I started fact checking my beliefs I realised I sounded like I was out of my mind. Important context: Tristan starts the debate with a 25 minute opening statement (longer than this entire video). Destiny decides to use a minute or two of his opening statement because he doesn't understand Tristan's position and wants him to clarify, then for the rest of the debate Tristan keeps telling him to just go back and listen to his opening statement (something Tristan apparently memorised because he seems unable to elaborate on any point he mentions) and insists Destiny has been talking longer than him.
