A form factor of 4:1 on the secondary as a minimum is best to stop flashing over. Also coupling may have been too high causing racing sparks. A 4" coil should be about 18-20" of wound length. Also use SCH 35 PVC pipe as PVC is lossy at coiling frequencies. If using SCH 40 pipe, make sure it's the solid wall and not the foam core stuff. A heavy coat of polyurethane varnish will dry on the outside but stay oily on the inside giving a bit more insulation that's to some extent self-healing.

Ohh man !! I was just thinking, if we use a glass bottle for winding secondary, it won’t burn, we can fill up water inside and make a Leyden jar capacitor ? Or put crystal in that bottle filled with water and excite it ? Any way I am going to wind my Tesla secondary this week too.

You should make videos. Of the tests. Just lable what tests your doing and show us what you see and can measure

You need to encase that coil in an oil bath. When you do the chance of a discharge like you had goes to nil.

You most certainly are on your way to figuring out if you haven't already👍🛸👋

No it is done. the inside wire coating is melted causing a short.

If your using AC to power it , its not a tesla coil . Maybe you should actually read what tesla was doing , cause this stuff isnt it.

it is not ac. it is pulsed dc. I know what I am doing. Just a testing mistake.

Not commenting on the burned out unit , that's just part of the research as Tesla himself said and I quote . " I burned out so many parts until I figured out what was going on. " Not condemning you , only stating that AC is not a Tesla coil , you stated in your video about AC powering it . And if you claim you know what your doing you would already have that which you seek , so no I don't think you do . Best of luck to you .

@@jeffreydove2036 You should really look at the video's on my channel. I know way more about tesla coils than you think. I have 30 or more tests and tesla's cold energy.

Yeah, I see your channel video . Your using HV HF RF , that is Not what Tesla was doing . He was not using electricity, your using pulsed dc ( your words not mine ) and you will never achieve his effect in that way . Look , am not trying to discredit you , only show that you and so many others have there own beliefs on what was going on with his systems and they build theses systems claiming it's Tesla but are so far from what he was doing . Look in to the white currents , unidirectional dc . No oscillations as are on your scope as it's AC , that is not it . Read on his magnetic interrupter and why he used it , do you have his results as he explained , no . Because you using AC electrical HV HF RF . Enough said , you seem like a good guy and I wish you well . If is only for entertainment, ok .But if is for Tesla effect , your barking up the wrong tree.
