Coors Field is tied with Fenway for producing the most cycles, in spite of it being 87 years newer. Tells you something about the park's dimensions. That said, a sad career: he was always hurt.

Dawson - I want to share a story that impressed me about Tulo. In 2007, Tulo's first full season in the majors, when the Rockies were battling the Dodgers trying to tie the Padres for the wildcard spot, Tulo was up to bat late in the game. He quickly went down 0-2 in the count, but stayed cool enough to earn a walk. I believe he went on to score. For a rookie to battle like he did in an at-bat as important as that was phenomenal. That was the moment it was clear he would be a star.

Toronto loved, loves and will always love Troy Tulowitzki!!!!!
Troy Tulowitzki is one of my favorite baseball players of all time and him and Matt Holiday are the reasons why the Rockies are my favorite team in the NL West
I'm a die hard Rockies fan through and through. Tulo was truly a unique and special player. Going to games and watching him play was amazing. It was sad to see him leave to the Jays the way he did. But injury after injury really was his downfall. If it wasn't for the injuries, he would be the best shortstop in baseball history without a doubt. He would be talked about in the circle of greats like Derek Jeter. If Rockies knew how to get some pitchers and a solid bullpen, players like Tulo would get the recognition they deserve. Extremely talented player for a subpar organization that has made bad move after bad move. I hope this isn't the same foreshadow future for Nolan Arenado and Charlie Blackmon...
Injuries from stepping on another player's foot are fairly common. To help prevent injruy to players either being stepped on (spiked) or players turning ankles by stepping on the 1st baseman's foot, the league needs to either adopt the little league odea of 2 bags, one for the runner and one for the 1st baseman OR elongate the 1st base bag horizontally somewhat to keep the 1st baseman's foot out of the running lane. It can be done and will prevent unnecessary injuries without greatly impacting the game.
Holy shit this comment reminded me of my 8th grade fantasy team in school that I won the league with. That was 8-9 years ago and the dude in front of me in the draft in the first round that year picked hanley so I got tulo
I was there when tulo injured his ankle, happy he got to play again after that but wish he had better luck with injuries! Truly a special talent that was plagued with the injury big sadly
As someone that watched the Jays a ton in 2015 and 2016, it was a revelation to have Tulo play shortstop after Jose Reyes and his awful defense that season. He wasn't as great as he once was, but he could still make the difficult plays and more importantly for that team, made all the routine plays that you should make that Reyes would screw up. It sucks that he couldn't stay healthy. That 2014 season would have been one for the ages had he not gotten hurt.
Blue Marley Well Tulo did pick number 2 bc of Jeter, so it’s likely his game was inspired by Jeter too. Healthy Tulo was a better player imo though despite not having nearly as decorated of a career.

An example, when you talked about Tulo being the best prospect in California you could include maybe minor league footage or pictures of him in action or when he was drafted, showing a list of the draft class since he was chosen in the 1st round, 7th overall so we viewers can see whom was drafted before Tulo. When saying his split stats were better at Coors, show those splits on the screen so we can see it, kinda thing. Just my two cents. Yeah career earnings of $163.4m, one of the best defensive SS of all time, would be in the HOF had he not been so injury prone. That certainly screams mediocrity.
@Jaystar David Wright is a pretty good example of what I described in my first comment. I have to admit that when it comes to the HOF, I am kind of a purest. I think there are players in there now that should not be there. Tony Perez and Ralph Kiner come to mind.

Please upload more 🙏 your videos are so good but you don't post as often as I would like. Your videos are high quality and unique. I really hope you can post more because you really do have some of the best baseball content on RUclips
I can see him going to Cooperstown like how Phil Rizzuto did via the Veterans Commitee, who having World Series rings aside, had a very similar career to Tulo, in length, 13 years, and in hits, not even 2,000
My favorite tulo moment was in September 2010. He had 15 home runs that month and was on an absolute tear. The Rockies were also on another hot steak to make playoffs. He came up in the ninth with runners on base; a home run would win the game. Unfortunately, he struck out and the game was over. He slammed his bat onto the plate and it split in two, then he took the split handle and whipped it into the dirt right next to home plate. The bat stuck into the ground just like how a javelin sticks into the ground.
As a Jays fan I remember being so hyped when I found out that Toronto had traded for him. I was ecstatic, while also bummed that Jeff Hoffman was part of what was sent to acquire him. I thought Hoffman was going to end up as a great pitcher lol. Anyways, even though Tulo didn't live up to my expectations as a Jay it was still awesome to see him in Toronto. I never thought in my wildest dreams that it would ever happen. Even though he wasn't great there he really did a lot for that 2015 playoff team in particular to stabilize the infield and (from what I can tell) mentor some of the younger guys. It truly is a shame that injuries took so much from his career otherwise, yes, he'd be a Hall of Famer I think. He won't get in, but he'll be someone that a lot of people remember for the next few decades I think.
I'm a Phillies fan and I remember that 2007 season well. Jimmy Rollins won the MVP and it was between him and Matt Holliday. The Phils ended up losing to the Rockies in the NLDS and I remember thinking very highly of Tulo. Tons of careers have been derailed by injuries and his is among the most regrettable if you ask me.
Man, he was one of my favorite players on that Jays team. And it was a really special team, too. Tulo, Edwin Encarnacion, Joey Bats, Josh Donaldson... shame they couldn't win a title. Now I'm sitting here hoping Vlady Jr can get my Jays back to the promised land
It's a good reminder that careers that span 15 to 20 years in the big leagues are actually rare. From injuries to declines most players never make it to even 10 years.
He seemed to always be dealing with something when he was on the Jays. So frustrating. You know he had bad luck but part of it has to be how he takes care of his body.
So...who is going to be on the move tomorrow?
hopefully the nats
Bauer didnt cheat at all
Dawson Wright
Thor and Vargas. I don't think the Mets are buying, I just think they just want some pitching depth for the future.
Hopefully the Cardinals pick up a starter. They really need another left bullpen arm as well.

I still remember going to Rockies game and yelling the tulo chant as a kid. Good memories
He’s better than Harold fricking Baines
What i love about tulo is that beaten glove he owns, really shows how much he likes to do things his way
He got OLD....It happens to everyone.
favorite tulowitzki memory. oakland coliseum circa 2018. toronto is wearing the road alternate blues and tulowitzki is 1-4. my friend and I make it up to the concourse and run into a highschool teammate of tulos. lets go oakland. throw up on the bart tracks, yeaaaaap
Please upload more 🙏 your videos are so good but you don't post as often as I would like. Your videos are high quality and unique. I really hope you can post more because you really do have some of the best baseball content on RUclips
Trust me I want to post more too. When I start school I will have some time dedicated to videos
Hopefully he comes back for the 2021 season. A full season to heal properly might be what he needs
tulo was a constant on my fantasy team, great talent. sad that injuries derailed his career...he was a young jeter essentially.
Tulo is the GOAT. Hopefully he makes it. The guy deserves it for all the hard work he put into the game.
ThatRandomChannel He doesn’t quite have 1400 hits. Seems pretty unlikely in my opinion
I can see him going to Cooperstown like how Phil Rizzuto did via the Veterans Commitee, who having World Series rings aside, had a very similar career to Tulo, in length, 13 years, and in hits, not even 2,000
I still remember when he was first called up in 2006. I liked him as a player, but hated playing against him as a Giants fan, especially from 2007-10.
Staying healthy and having longevity are part of being a hall of famer. Plenty of great players careers have been been cut short by injuries
I will forever remember Tulo for his time with the Jays. Best of Luck in Retirement.
I gotta post more often. Ur a legend
such a shame he got injured so often. He was a pleasure to watch in Toronto.
Dude where have you been? I always enjoyed your videos.
