Lara Fabian was very well trained by the best opera teachers from Belgium and Italy, but she decided to sing pop songs, she als has the knowledge to sing in operatic way, she studied from her 8 to 18 at the Belgium Conservatory of Music (there she learned Bel Canto, piano [she composes her own songs on piano)... Then since 1998 she kept having vocal lessons with her Italian teacher untill nowdays, she has two vocal teachers (From Belgium and Italy) and she keeps having vocal lessons at least 3 times per week on-line. Lara also workz as a vocal coach on The Voice Canada, she already worked as the vocal coach at the Star Academy program in France from 2004 /2008.
Here another Italian she LOVES to sing, one of her idols is the Italian singer Mina. ❤❤ Her mother used to sing Mina's song to her.

It’s good to see your connection with your mother, and to see her discovering Lara’s artistry.
Lara is a language genius and speaks many language at a native level. But in the case of italian, she is really native in fact. She was born in Belgium but spent most of her first 7 years in her mother family in Catane, Sicilia.
So italian is the first language she learned.
And today she is married to a sicilian man and spend months in her house in Catane. She is currently there for instance

@@ruego-qj7btyou're oversimplifying. They're similar, but calling them "dialects" is simply ignorant ~and I might say even a bit arrogant~. They have different phonetic systems and vocabulary. Italian is much closer to Latin than Portuguese these days btw

Nel 1987 a Sanremo, cioè l'anno prima del successo avuto e vincitirice del Festival della canzone l'anno dopo con Massimo Ranieri, " Perdere l'amore" era stata portata al Festival da Gianni Nazzaro, altra bella voce italiana. Ma fu scartata. Nel 1988, invece , Giampiero Artegiani, uno degli autori, si recò da Ranieri, facendogli ascoltare alcune canzoni al quale non entusiasmarono.
Lo racconta lo stesso Massimo Ranieri. E , mentre stava già andando via , Artegiani disse a Ranieri che avrebbe avuto ancora una canzone da fargli ascoltare.... E, quando Massimo Ranieri ascoltò " Perdere l'amore" , non se la lasciò scappare.... E divenne in successo che è stato . E lo è tuttora!

Love your reactions especially with your Mom listening but you do seem to stop the video a lot interrupting Lara's performance and the flow of the performance itself. Just when your Mom starts to get totally immersed in the video you stop it and start talking, she's on camera, we can see her reaction! Your Mom might just want to enjoy the performance without so many interruptions IMHO, just saying, no offense!

@@giacomojamesPunkRockHeadReact I understand now! Lara actually loves reaction videos of her performances, not a problem for her at all, she loves her fans and their videos. Without reaction videos most people would have never heard of her, like myself and especially in the US. I saw a reaction of Lara Fabian a little over a year ago and since then she has become my absolute favorite singer/performer/songwriter ever! I wish I had known about her 20-25 years ago, I could have been enjoying and appreciating her marvelous talent this whole time. If anyone objects to reaction videos of Lara Fabian on RUclips it certainly isn't her, I heard her say this herself in a recent interview Lara gave. Thanks
