I couldn't explain it to myself but the almost magical silence and the atmosphere of this forest has something powerful that I have never felt in any park that speaks about fairy tales... It's incredible !

Wow! Thanks for the very extended view of the Efteling Fairy Tale Forrest.
Here and there it's a little bit Grimm!
When I was little, a long, long time ago, my bedtime stories came to life in this park. Peeping through all the little windows to see what was happening inside.
There was a playground too with big slides, all kind of swings, climbing objects, a canoe pond, a rowing pond and an open air swimming pool. We had activities all day long.
Now kids wait in the queue, take a ride, to join the next queue.

I missed your personal observations. What does an American, who visits the Fairy Tale forest for the first time thinks about the portrayal of (for the most part) European fairy tales (mostly Anderson and Grimm tales) opposed to the way Disney portrayed them? I was looking forward to an honest 'review'. Did they seem weird in your American eyes, or perhaps scandelous (like a naked mermaid)... ?
I was really hoping to hear your personal thoughts while walking through the forest

When I was a kid I was familiar with some of the original fairy tales, not just the Disney versions. I really appreciate that Efteling stayed true to the portrayal of the original versions. They wouldn't get away with the topless mermaid in America, but I wasn't too surprised to see it because there is a lot of public art all around Europe that feature nude figures, so I suppose it's not that big of a deal there. The Little Match Girl was the biggest surprise for me because I was not familiar with the tale. Because my time was limited, I was more focused on getting uninterrupted footage of the Fairy Tale Forest rather than giving my narration throughout - and also I would like the experience to be enjoyed for the viewer who may not be familiar with it. On future visits I will probably have a different approach to how I film it.
