"Bereden väg för Herran" ("Make Way For the Lord") is a hymn with lyrics from 1812 by a Swedish-Finnish poet and clergyman.
The melody is possibly a Swedish variant of a German song from 1693.

An English translation that is less literal, although easier to sing to the melody, would be:
Prepare the way, oh Zion, your Christ is drawing near!
Let every hill and valley a level way appear.
Greet One who comes in glory, foretold in sacred story.
Oh, blest is Christ that came in God's most holy Name.
He brings God's rule, oh Zion, he comes from heaven above.
His rule is peace and freedom, and justice, truth, and love.
Lift high your praise resounding, for grace and joy abounding.
Oh, blest, is Christ that came in Gods most holy Name.
Fling wide your gates, oh Zion, your Saviour's rule embrace.
His tidings of salvation proclaim in every place.
