I've watch a lot of reviews of this product but by far yours was the most informative and you even showed how to costumize it. I will be buying this product thanks to you. Keep it up!
I love the g16. Since I cannot travel to play these days it's incredible value for money. My only gripe is that the stock button caps are very fragile and will pop off if you use techniques like double tapping, or if you have a tendency to hit your buttons on the edge as opposed to the direct middle.
the t16 and g16 buttons feel different when you press them? i thought they were the same dang i ordered both for that reason , i didnt want to feel like i was using something completely different when i changed over. so the t16 feels like the s16 with those baby switches?
I am yet to try the T16 but the Haute42 website shows that the T16 uses low profile switches, so yes it will feel different from the G16, but the difference might not be as big as you’d expect. And besides you might enjoy the variety once in a while.
Unless you really want a tiny form factor I would recommend the T16 personally. No I actually appreciate that compliment. I’m self conscious about my hands and have always disliked the way they look so I’m going to do the guy thing and remember this compliment for at least 7 years 😂
Are you thinking about the T Series or perhaps the R series? I really like the R Series. Switches are different though. Most of the other Haute42 pads use low profile switches whilst the G uses the standard MX switches.
I haven’t tried the S Series yet, so unfortunately I can’t give you an answer. Try the Haute42 discord and ask the members there. My guess is that it will work.
bro, i just play with my Brooks plugged into the PS5. No need to have it hanging out the side of the pad. Also, the booter 5 is out and it's pretty small. Should work well with the pad.
Yeah that works too, but the instructions said to plug it directly into the EXT to avoid lag. This could have been for an older firmware version though. And yes I have the Booter 5 now and love it. I show it in my R16 review (released the video earlier this month). Excellent piece of kit!
For the silence factor, amazing. I had to exaggerate the volume but they’re very quiet, just a dull thud. For the feel I preferred the stock ones that came with the controller. And I feel like having some sound with the stock switches helps with timing.
@@VidVayder have you tried silent linear otemu silent peach? The actuation force is about the same as the leobog v4 and its also linear. Just haven't had my own experience with it
I haven’t. But that sounds pretty good because I like the way the Leobog feels. Outemu are really cheap on Aliexpress (where I got my set) so it wouldn’t hurt to try them!
@@VidVayder dont know since which version exactly it supported, but it is already for some time, so if you bought recently - you safe, but anyway updating firmware is extremly easy - just copying firmware file into storage folder
Hey I just got mine and it works directly with the brook. So my question is why should I update it trough the website? For me seems complicated and unnecessary.
Update the controller? You don’t have to, but I think there are new features (like the screen graphics updating??) and whatever bug fixes you might need with new firmware. If you’re saying it works on your PS5 without having to change any settings, then fine. I simply followed the advice on the Haute42 website to get PS5 mode (it will show on the screen).
Hello, yes you can mod the S16. Go to the Haute42 discord and you can download the template there to create your own art. Or pay someone to design and cut it for you.
B16 looks like it was specifically designed for wasd layout. At least to my understanding. You might want to get on the Haute42 Discord and ask the community though, they’re quite responsive.
I was watching this video with captions enabled. Starting at 0:32, music begins. The captions say "[Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music]". Now, I am afraid I don't find this to be accurate. I don't believe there is any applause in this sequence at all! This is simply music with claps in the instrumental. Notice how the claps follow the rhythm of the music- they are a PART of the music! Seeing as how these claps are a part of the music, I don't believe that their purpose in this audio was to convey feelings of approval or praise- as is the definition of "applause". Furthermore, what is the purpose of the repetition of "[Music]" and "[Applause]"? I may be only 30 seconds into your review, but I'll unfortunately have to give your review a 4/10 for these reasons alone. I expect better from future reviews. Sincerely, Dante Patel
Haha thanks for pointing that out Dante. The [music] and [applause] tags are added by RUclips’s automatic captioning. I do go in to edit the captions for dialogue but I tend to skip those tags so I don’t mess up any caption timings. Anyway, thanks for the chuckle and I wish you a good day 👍 Sincerely, Vid Vayder
Made a mistake with the Leobog switch name (they're just Leobog Graywood V4). Thanks for dropping by :)

That’s high praise, thank you 🙏 and I hope you enjoy using it :)
Yoo your the first person i see cover the actual procces of the custom face plate THX so much
No problem! I initially was going to put in so much more detail but cut it out for pacing. Glad you found it interesting/helpful.
I got one and its probably my last, i even sell my kitsune. I mean a hot swappable controller with enough buttons and easy to apply art is all i need.
Im a fan of the button spacing for kitsune, but it probably depends on what you like the play. Nice that you found your endgame!
There's an arts and crafts scalpel that is gyroscopic which makes cutting circles WAY easier. I forgot the name tho...
Maybe I should invest in that if I get a T16.
@@VidVayder I found it! It's called Gyro-Cut and Amazon sells it but it's sold elsewhere too
The editing on that intro was amazing!
Appreciate the compliment! Thanks for watching 🙏
Good video. Thanks for being so in depth and thorough.
Thank you. Glad it was helpful!
Absolutely phenomenal work and review.
Thanks for the kind words 🙏

Good insight! I’ve never had this issue because I don’t flick or hit on the edge. It’s interesting and makes sense that this would happen though.
Awesome video, may I ask for the link or brand of your A3 cutting mat? It looks clean!
Thanks! The mat is a generic amazon one: A3 Cutting mat with Precision... www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0B8CDP6R9?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
I’d love the size of the T16 but I really want the mx switches…. Choosing between the two is hard 😂
Get both! The price for these are so good. Keep one as your main and use the other for fun mods.

I decided to go for the S16! A compromise between both.
Oh, I'll have to come back in seven years then ;p
Good choice, hope you enjoy it 👍
for me i got the g 13 one but i get the bigger one of this stick they made a new one that cost like 60 or 80$ sometime on amazon

Just new art or switches too?
Is it possible to use slide technique on S-series? I also fin that issue on G-series.

How do you like the otemu cream yellow switches for fighting games?

for ps5 you can use mayflash magicboots with this gp2040 boards, which is tiny
I wanted one but have to shop around a bit to find it. Do you have to upgrade the firmware?
