6:43 This isn't entirely true. If you update the firmware there IS a layout that shows all of the buttons on this controller (T-16 as well). Good review!
bought this one as my first leverless controller and i really love it. Its a bit loud though so i recommend adding rubber O rings under the caps, which really helps. I also added some stickers on the caps to tell me which button is which. But once i am more used to it i will remove them and get some nice caps. For customization u gotta find someone who can print ur art with a laser cutter on some vynly sticker stuff.
@@such-ej It’s pretty good. My only complaint is the provided USB cable is really short for playing on a TV via console. If you’re going to only use it with your computer on a desk, then the length is fine.
@@such-ejkeycaps are higher due to it using full size profile switches. You get more of a variety both option and cost wise for the full sized switches compared to the low profile switches most other leverless have. I love the g16 it is my main leverless. But I do have to hover a little bit over the caps compared to other leverless controllers.
Also another thing to take note is that you're unable to slide your fingers like others leverless, and if u do accidentally slide your fingers. There is a higher chance that ur button might pop off from the controller and be left on the floor somewhere. It has happened to me during tournaments before and had to raw dog it until the set was over, and I carry extra buttons around in my bag just in case I do end up losing a button caps when traveling.
@@shibamaycry yeah, I read about pop up issue in some reviews. I picked S16 mostly because of lower buttons (plus I don't plan to replace switches/keycaps anyways). I wonder are buttons on R16 model (with rings around keycaps) much differ from S16 buttons. I don't use slide motions tho 😅
I have the M16 Plus, absolutely love it. It was difficult to set up for me personally but plenty of guides on RUclips. First leverless and never going back
This is exactly what I was looking for, wow.. lol I have the M16 Plus and I was just messing around with the turbo feature when I noticed that the T16 value can go up and down. I looked everywhere for information on what this meant (it doesnt say anything about it in the manual either), but to no avail. Now I know though, let's go. Thanks Nihongo 👍
in the newest gp firmware, they do have where you can see all the buttons on the screen. They did release it a few months back. you can have it show all the buttons and along the bottom show what inputs were/are being hit
I bought the T16 and the M16, and personally I like the M16 a lot more. I thought I’d like the bigger size of the T16, but the M16 isn’t so small that it’s uncomfortable for lap play. Personally when I sit back on the couch and have the leverless on my lap, I didn’t like how the T16 made the buttons feel far from my reach, due to the bigger size. The M16 though I can have closer to me and I found it to be much more comfortable for couch play and I also really love that the bottom of the M16 is angled, which is comfortable for my hands/wrists to rest on. All in all, both the T16 and M16 are great, just depends what you prefer. I also felt like eventually something would give on the T16 because of the build, the cackling and cracking noise made me nervous, doesn’t happen ever on the M16. Really wanted to love the T16 due to the price and the look of it but glad I bought the M16 as well.
7:20 i think that "minus" button is for the ps5 touchpad and it's just unbinded when in xinput mode n such (since those controllers usually dont have a touchpad button; switch has it binded as capture tho) EDIT: also regarding controller size complaints the m16 plus exists, its just an m16 but larger, and it's what I use
The timing on this video, my M16 just arrived 2 days ago. Loving it so far but transitioning from exclusively keyboard wasn't as smooth as I expected because of the larger buttons to press. After continuous playing though, I'm starting to feel one with the controller.
Haute makes good stuff but I can't justify the price of the M16. Granted I cant justify the price of the kitsune either. I tried a kitsune this past weekend and it was nice but not $300 nice. Of the 8 leverless controllers I have tried; T16, R16, Kitsune, Fightingbox cheapo thing (doesnt have a name), Bubblebox, Furin, hitbox, F500 Flat. The F500 Flat takes it when it comes to bang per $. I think I have commented this on nearly every video now but its seriously that good.
Thank you for the note on getting rid of one jump button and you cannot have action button duplicates. But if you need to go to the web configurator to get rid of up which is a non-action button?...does that mean the other directional button inputs CAN have duplicates or can you NOT have a duplicate Left or Right dpad input?
This stick is for me but it has one BIG problem, the move buttons and action buttons are to close and i get back problems. I play on the keyboard with w a s d and numpad so i don t have back problems
Never tried a leverless but I am interested but what the heck are they adding RGB with buttons that are solid color not allowing the light out not that I care not a fan of RGB myself but if its there why now display it with clear buttons?
It's clear they're going for a different look with the lights surrounding the buttons rather than shining through it. But they still offer clear button options if you prefer that.
guys cops outside my house, i think i got the wrong M16
RIP to your dog, I guess.
FINALLY THE M16. Been waiting for this review.

You can set it up in the web settings if the firmware update alone doesn't do it

I recently bought the G16, it’s pretty good. I’m still getting use to using it. It’s my first leverless.
How do you like its buttons? It seems like those keycaps 2x higher than on S16 model.

Can't wait for you to review the T or R series.
The small LED screen is what sells me on it

i ordered the T16 crystal. Cant wait to use it.
Got mine 2 weeks ago! I love it!
sugoi!. never seen a controller like this before, looks very nice.

Just to clarify, touchpad button can't exist on xInput mode per definition.

i would have liked a comparison between the m12+ an the kitsune, hopefully u get that one in the future ... seems like a fairer comparison

all of a sudden every leverless looks like a kitsune....
6:40 you have to update your firmware to show the extra buttons, I have it on my R16!
I had this for half a day: I have large hands, but vewlix layout button spacing was uncomfortable.
using WASD was even more of a pain
I love mine to death. Debating if I should get a M16 Plus.
I seriously love my Haute42 T-16, but I would love a M-Series the size of a T-Series
M16 plus about the size of the T16
Can u do a review on the haute 42 ultra
Where can I contact for a reverse version?
Nihongo, Mayflash is releasing soon a F700 Elite FLAT.
I know they are going to send you something to review, can you give any sneak peak or ETA? :P

we need an r13 from them or a large version of the g series
Is there a lever less that uses Hall Effect switches AND has the left and right button sets spaced out?
No
What's your recommendation for a affordable fight stick, not to expensive but still decent quality?
would you recommende this over the doio hitpad?
I don't think you can use official controllers as a passthrough with GP2040-CE unless something has changed
Not an official pad, but you can use officially licensed arcade sticks which are classified as “categorized controllers”
I'd happily switch over but the buttons are a tad too big for my liking.
This stick is for me but it has one BIG problem, the move buttons and action buttons are to close and i get back problems. I play on the keyboard with w a s d and numpad so i don t have back problems
M16 vs R16?

Those key caps will be broken in no time.
First!
Ah yes another cheat box. Grow up and use an arcade stick ffs
maybe you'll make out of pools at the local this week, murph
@@MintyPolaroid if I did it’d be using a proper arcade stick and not this bullshit nonsense cheat box
Arcade days are over bro, time to move on and stop gatekeeping. Leverless is the future.
