I loved Ethan Hawke since Dead Poet's Society was released. I can't believe that was 27 years ago. That's why they gave him a lifetime achievement award, because he has been in the biz for a very long time and has had a really nice career. He could easily work another 30 or 40 years. Let's hope so anyway.

Saw him (in person) last yr- came to DC for a talk after free "Good Kill" screening & he is SUCH a thoughtful and smart guy (can tell from how carefully he speaks re: various topics)!
Stephen is a pretty damn good interviewer. Ethan clearly felt uncomfortable answering the painful experience question, and Stephen changed the subject quite adeptly.
