I loved Ethan Hawke since Dead Poet's Society was released. I can't believe that was 27 years ago. That's why they gave him a lifetime achievement award, because he has been in the biz for a very long time and has had a really nice career. He could easily work another 30 or 40 years. Let's hope so anyway.
I love Ethan Hawke. He is one of the few that if I see on screen, he grabs me. I don't 'cut him off' while channel surfing. Something in his eyes when. Gattaca and Daybreakers are awesome!
Saw him (in person) last yr- came to DC for a talk after free "Good Kill" screening & he is SUCH a thoughtful and smart guy (can tell from how carefully he speaks re: various topics)!
Stephen is a pretty damn good interviewer. Ethan clearly felt uncomfortable answering the painful experience question, and Stephen changed the subject quite adeptly.
Wow, Ethan Hawke's voice has really changed! O.O I know that's what happens as time progresses, but it's like seeing a kid you haven't seen in a while and holy-shit-you've-changed vs a kid you see every day and don't notice the change 'cause it's a gradual progression. :P
Yeah it was before david duke endorsing trump. At the time trump was just some weird phenomenon in show business and politics. Colbert was in my point of view, sympathetic to him. But now we know what kind of person trump is. Colbert is the onlt journalist that can trap his baby non sense.
He actually did interview Trump recently, during the elections. It's called something along the lines Stephen Colbert offers Donald Trump a chance to apologize. :) It's up on the channel.
stay alive for the commercial... lol... man you should always check the time when its colbert interviewing you cause he has a loaded gun hidden behind his rhetoric
I love the "Before" trilogy.
Jake James 1. Sunset

+the Necromancer1987 john oliver, and bill Maher will do a good job too.
And he was pretty light on him, actually felt they were friends... wich was disapointing.

estoy enamorada de este hombre ❤❤❤❤
Is it just me or his voice has been changing from time to time? Like if you search his older interviews u will see what I mean
Does anyone remember the movie "Explorers"? Ethan Hawke ftw!
Yeah, the score by Jerry Goldsmith is memorable too! "The Construction" is still my favorite movie music to listen to.

Ethan has a really low fame:success ratio
Ethan is a babe
Either Stephen is fucking with him or he really doesn't like Ethan lol
Right? It reminds me of what Letterman used to do to guests he didn't like.

Ethan is so flustered and can barely speak when Stephen wants to pursue a point. Why do that to a guest?
First
Is it just me or is Ethan wearing a hairpiece?
Well, shit. Now I can't stop staring and thinking about it. Hard to tell, it could be.
Mike Clyne I know, right? (Looks like it, but maybe my eyes are playing tricks on me.)
