The Wahoo heel turn was an extension of what was already going on in the Mid-Atlantic territory

3 or 4 territories were working together at that time to try to slow Vince M. down. Then in the spring of 85 Crockett bought out Ole's Georgia Wrestling.

@@rickyjohnson4184 I agree 👍. Thunder ⛈️ bolt was absolutely screwed. The man had Amazing promos!! He was better than most promos. The NWA f*cked up royally!! 1st black champion was Ron Simmons!! 20 years too late!! Thunderbolt Patterson as a NWA champion in Georgia would have been epic in the early 80s. It would have made national news, and if the Georgia "good ol boys" gave Thunderbolt unfair treatment (ra$icism). You know the new york bill after magazines would have rallied for Thunderbolt. He was robbed of being the first NWA black champion and it makes me mad 😠

Then Solie would jump in, "fans we're out of time!"

It's amazing, at 59 years of age, I can only remember in the last 15 yrs having to almost always ask the other person, "Can you hear me?" People are so used to loss of QUALITY in our society that we don't even notice anymore.
