The "Heart" icon in the RPD+PD route is actually a rough outline of the Majora's Mask from the Zelda series. Actually the 'Super Smash' might not just be a reference to One Punch Man it could also be a reference to My Hero Academia the way Henry's arm bends after punching is like how Midoriya used One for All in the entrance exam plus the fact that he falls is the same way Midoriya fell after using One for All

Hey, I just realized something: in ItA, in the LQL route you get the text, “A winner is you!” That is a reference to Kingdom of Loathing’s “An adventurer is you!”
Ok you have 3 More Things you missed or got wrong or are going to say: 1. For the Bios on page 10 the second Character might be The Demoman from TF2 with the one patched eye and beer in a brown bottle but im not so sure... 2. For the "Mind Crystal" Option you said he got annoyed and pulls out the gun. If you ment that he got annoyed my the option then you are incorrect. He cant step over the Orange ht right infront of him. This is in every sims game (except sims 2 for some odd reason) where Characters cant step over even the tiniest of objects on the ground. 3. I mentioned in previons Videos that there is a Bio with the information of "Hit the brick pal´ youre done" but i think you know what this one is becuse i already said it twice. (just in case: This one of the Voicelines from Scout in TF2 when he dominates a Heavy)
6:29 I think this could also be a callback to the failure with the "play of the game" replay. It's like RHM is in Overwatch and has a really op abilitu
This means that Henry couldn't of gotten the cupcake at the tavern which, unless Charles decided to pick up some snacks in SBO (Which, honestly, he would) and chose that exact tavern *and* that exact cupcake, which all together is kinda unlikely. So, we can assume that Henry probably got this before he got kidnapped, and given the shelf life of an iced cupcake is only a few days, and said cupcake was still fresh enough for Henry to eat it and for it to be described as good enough to be "Worth" in SBO, he most likely got it right before said kidnapping. Given this, may I propose that Henry was at a bakery and/or a cafe before the events of Fleeing the Complex in pretty much every timeline, ordered (maybe with a four-finger discount depending on the route) that specific cupcake, and then got captured by the Wall before he could eat it, and proceeded to forget about it due to the insanity that followed.
I love how in depth these references are. It's explained clearly and covers a good majority of all the references, even those that appeared for only a fraction of a second. Well done!
Blade forme is incredibly likely to be a fullmetal alchemist reference with his metal arm turning into a knife and the whole replaced limbs with metal deal mirroring automail from the same series
11:09 I feel like this is a callback to the infiltrating the airship where charles shoots *everybody* instead of just the guy and door/lock where the guy was stuck trying to open the door.
I’m pretty sure the fail for doing nothing when going up the ramp with RHM and Ellie is a reference to magic school bus intro with the seatbelts everyone
30:56 this also reminds me of the random phrase in my head "chaos control!", from sonic using the chaos jems to warp time and reality. (I had to look the other part up, I only remembered the phrase)
You forgot Travis Degroot in the RPE + PD opening, based off of Demoman TF2, who had the similar name Travish DeGroot. He is seen holding his iconic bottle of scrumpy, saying his also iconic line “Cheers, mate!” which he does during his stock melee taunt. He use to be a mercenary but gave up that life when the updates stopped coming.” -He actually lost his eye from the Bombinomicon, an ancient tomb in the library of the (Not-So) Great Merasmus. -Demo was a mercenary in TF2 under Redmond and Blutarch Mann, who were fighting over some land their dead father gave to them. -“When the updates stopped coming.” is a slight jab by Puff at TF2, which hasn’t had an update in 1237 days since this comment (About 3 years and 4 months)

correction: the flute is meant to be a reference to mario 3's warp whistle with the design of the flute and the melody played being taken from that game.
Pls read this grant
Yeah, I was thinking as much. It uses a tornado instead, but the original Zelda uses the flute in the exact same way (and same type of flute)
I think its a combination of both
"There are probably no ruby's to collect in his world" @2 Left Thumbs, did you forget about the Romanian Ruby on the airship?!
Dang can't believe I'll have no more stickmin refrences to watch after the missed refrences
17:30 the Gravity Inverter also mimics the colors of the shifting gravity galaxy for up and down from Supermario Galaxy 1 and 2
This game is one big pop culture reference
Tru
and one day, this game will be a pop culture reference. And we will all feel old.
12:34 I think it's a mix-up. The bird is indeed a reference to A Link to the Past, but the flute itself and the melody come from the first Legend of Zelda game. Thing is, in the original game, it was a tornado. The bird only came in ALTTP
21:49 special brovert ops wasn't presumed dead. That was gspi + iro not gspi + pd. That would've been valiant hero.
9:45
"If It's Not 100 Percent Accurate, It's 50 Percent Accurate."
MandJtv finnaly someone puts that referemce somewhere else
Actually the 'Super Smash' might not just be a reference to One Punch Man it could also be a reference to My Hero Academia the way Henry's arm bends after punching is like how Midoriya used One for All in the entrance exam plus the fact that he falls is the same way Midoriya fell after using One for All
And the name Smash is also the name of midoriya's punches
So, I believe there's a Easter egg back in Stealing the Dimond.
If you look closely at the keys in the beginning, my fellow Hollow Knight fans might see it.
The pattern almost looks EXACTLY like the elegant key from Hollow Knight
Pimbus is a stand-in for Pinterest, I think
It's actually Nimbuzz.
@@somerandomdude7785 i guess it could also be cumulonimbus, yes
The “just like the old times” fail text is probably saying that Henry’s plans/fails are poorly thought out
And also maybe Henry is multiverse hopper due to the Charles fail
That saying is also found on some Call of Duty games.
The placement of the black crewmate in the Revenged ending is cool because black usually symbolizes death in literature
in the Revenged route, the option for baseball bat I think might actually be a reference to the Mother series of games, or more specifically Earthbound, where Ness can use a baseball bat, and in the Smash Bros. series, said baseba bat can reflect projectiles. might be the reference they were going for?
Wheres part 5? (Just kidding XD, I am at beginning of the video right now, I am so excited XD, glad you took your time to make it as best as you can)
29:20 Also don't forget there's actually a steam Locomotive name big boy And one is actually running If you want to see videos and footage of it just type Up or Union pacific 4014
At 20:16 the person sitting on the left from Henry, wasn't that a reference to the demoman from Team Fortress 2?
He already mentioned it
where?
@@drfidelis558 What video?
@@drfidelis558 well at least tell us
In the first references video on CtM.
Hey, I just realized something: in ItA, in the LQL route you get the text, “A winner is you!” That is a reference to Kingdom of Loathing’s “An adventurer is you!”
I can’t remember what game but another game also has “a winner is you!” In it somewhere, could also be referring to that
No, it’s a reference to the poor English in the NES game Pro Wrestling when you win a match.
Ok you have 3 More Things you missed or got wrong or are going to say:
I think he already mentioned the first one in another video
I'm pretty sure the "Pimbus" is supposed to sound like Pinterest
31:04 I think that “Chaos Contained” might be a reference to Shadow he Hedgehog’s “Chaos Control” ability, which similarly pauses time
6:29 I think this could also be a callback to the failure with the "play of the game" replay. It's like RHM is in Overwatch and has a really op abilitu
15:40 Right Hand Man pose looks like Buzz Lightyear defence pose when he gets startled.
That's hilarious!
He's right about the Mario cherry
They easily could have called it the Duplicherry and it would have worked
21:41 “we saw this in a separate PD path SBO” SBO = GSPI + IRO not PD
Exactly what I thought. GSPI + PD = VH
31:24
Also, the symbol is supposed to look like a heart as a misdirect, even though it actually is a portrayal of Majora's Mask.
12:47 I think thats the warp whistle from mario 3 he's trying to play.
I love how in depth these references are. It's explained clearly and covers a good majority of all the references, even those that appeared for only a fraction of a second. Well done!
Pitch for the dual tech: Eternal Toppat Laser
Another detail in POTG, you can actually see the damage ticks in the center of the screen as henry tries to absorb RHMs ultimate
Finally, part 4 of Finding The Refrences is here!
Me and another animator rima productions have made a henry fan game here on RUclips and I thought you should check it out.
The icon for style on em is a dab
The ‘Do Nothing’ Fail text references the Magic School Bus titles, where Miss Fritz says “Seatbelts everyone!”
21:42 Special BROvert Ops ins't an PD route, it's GSPI + IRO
48:03 Fail?
Blade forme is incredibly likely to be a fullmetal alchemist reference with his metal arm turning into a knife and the whole replaced limbs with metal deal mirroring automail from the same series
I always thought the ttyd “style” reference was ttyd, but I wasn’t sure so I just thought it was some JRPG reference.
11:09 I feel like this is a callback to the infiltrating the airship where charles shoots *everybody* instead of just the guy and door/lock where the guy was stuck trying to open the door.
Obviously microstick word
8:52 In the developer commentary he said that it was a reference to My Hero Academia, hence the fail text being “they will remember you as a hero”
27:28
"he's all like
*Tank.*
RHM’s Bottled Time is probably a reference to A Hat In Time. They control time, and are hourglass-shaped. Heck, it’s called a Time Piece.
There was a unused ending for the walkthrough
48:59 there is a wanted poster of tankman which is newgrounds logo
I loved this series, I’ve watched every episode, rip
It would be stickrosoft letter
I’m pretty sure the fail for doing nothing when going up the ramp with RHM and Ellie is a reference to magic school bus intro with the seatbelts everyone
30:56 this also reminds me of the random phrase in my head "chaos control!", from sonic using the chaos jems to warp time and reality. (I had to look the other part up, I only remembered the phrase)
Fun fact: The Accurate targeting sound when the mouse is on it is for among us
You forgot Travis Degroot in the RPE + PD opening, based off of Demoman TF2, who had the similar name Travish DeGroot. He is seen holding his iconic bottle of scrumpy, saying his also iconic line “Cheers, mate!” which he does during his stock melee taunt. Heck, even his bio has references.
“He lost his eye in an explosives incident. He use to be a mercenary but gave up that life when the updates stopped coming.”
-He actually lost his eye from the Bombinomicon, an ancient tomb in the library of the (Not-So) Great Merasmus.
