- Henry actually pulls off the ‘Insta-Shield’, a move from Sonic 3 which has the same input as turning Super Sonic when you don’t have all the Chaos Emeralds.
- You were so close to getting the laser reference. It was also a Super Smash Bros Ultimate Galeem reference, based on how it looks and disintegrated him.
Don't forget if you don't have 50 rings or more if you did have all of the Chaos Emerald

15:55 The Emerald Fail is actually a subtle call back to Stealing Diamond, Unseen Burglar Ending where Henry threw the diamond to get pass the guard.

when u do nothing and the scooter goes and crashes with the same fail tex reading: "your off to a great start". Just wanted to point that out.
Yeah true
I was just thinking that
Puff had a typo in a fail text that early)
interesting
I said the same thing
5:53 its probably a reference to the Ridley’s down B move how it’s sharp and goes through the other fighters. The fail sorta looks like the announcement video for Ridley (Super Smash Bros Ultimate)
To continue that in his trailer Ridley does it to Megaman in the exactly the same way
to me it looks like joker's final smash but the in it of itself might be a reference to something from persona
how about jokers final smash.
Yeah I think the closest to that is the way Persona 5 presents it's battles.
It's probably just generic impact frames. Cartoons/Anime usually include full black and white/white and red frames to sell the impact of something
16:50
Could possibly be the SSBU cutscene where Galeem obliterates almost all of the fighters

Exactly what I thought
I also like how in the Crossing the Pit reference Puff recreated the screams from Crossing the Pit to Henry saying it.
16:55 That is a reference to The World Of Light from Super Smash Bros. Ultimate
The weapon itself may also be a reference to The Eclipse Cannon from Sonic Adventure 2, as both are giant weapons attached to space stations. Especially since in both games there is a moment where the character's super forms are active near said weapons.
Either works and makes sense
Could even be both

At 5:36, the “Lightspeed” option: the way Henry’s death is depicted also occurs in the “intruder on a scooter” ending in Stealing the Diamond when he is shot on the bridge.

@@scottiespvzrobloxteam2286 thats what i was gonna say, it reminds me of persona but idk why cause i've never played it
It does
My initial thought was Lethality kills in Fire Emblem but the modern games have red & black, not white

The white outline of Henry on the red background is a reference to Persona 5.
you never saw it comiiiiiiiiiing
I also think the "comic bubble" might be too.
I’m not so sure. I’ve never seen any scene like that. And, I’ve played through Persona 5 twice.

I say this as most times a red background is used in persona 5 the characters are usually outlined in black.

There! ( boom! )
Or Fortnite’s Guided Missile RPG.
It is. Like undoubtedly. Why he doesn’t mention that is baffling.
Same
29:10: it’s also playing on the trope "when all you have is a hammer"
9:55 imo henrys reaction when in the volcano, is very similar to the animation and sound that plays in the Super Mario Galaxy games when you touch fire/lava
19:54 i think that may be more a reference to snakes guided missile special is Smash Bros
29:25 the hammers also show the direction it will be used in.
Left hammer: Henry starts breaking glass to our left
Middle hammer: Henry hits himself, who is more or less in the middle of the screen
Right hammer: Henry counters a bullet, approaching from our right.
I though the missiles were from Half Life 2
27:45 The timing of Henry getting stuck, staying on the scooter, then flying off is based on a gag from the Wallace and Grommet short "A Grand Day Out"
I feel like RPG + Controller is a reference to Snake’s guided missile in Smash Bros, the way it moves is extremely similar

27:05 And... the door is gone on the Do Nothing failure.
unsure of if you mentioned this in the previous video or not, but the mask henry wears during all routes following a "presumed dead" ending comes directly from among us. it's one of the cosmetics players can choose to wear at the start of a game

There’s actually a Minecraft reference in Stickmin Space Resort. If you choose nothing when RHM shoots the harpoon at the Toppat rocket, the fail return to sender is actually an achievement in Minecraft when you reflect a Ghast fireball back to the Ghast.
27:17 you missed the fact that now the door is open while still showing henry crashed.

It's a bit off but could be that.
@@ktjthhc1979 they all are supposed to be a bit off
16:56 that is from super smash bros ultimate's world of light adventure mode opening cutscene
Another thing, The stab in Samuel Mundy's back in the PBT Route is a reference to "Meet the Spy." When blue spy is talking, a clip shows the red spy duking it out with the sniper, the spy does indeed, stab the sniper in the back.
I want to point out a couple things, first off it's neat that when the teleporter scene cycles back to snow it shows the shape Henry made from planting there earlier, and the potion in the vault is likely a Lesser Healing Potion from Terraria.
The part we're he almost gets ran over might be a reference to Lawyered Up.
The drill scene that Henry tries to use to get into the airship is a call-back to Wallace & Gromit where Gromit tries to enter the Dog Factory with his drill while Wallace and Shaun is getting close to dog food
The wall clip should have taken him to the backrooms
nice...
Personally, I think "Stickmin Space Resort" is statistically the best ending for Henry out of all of them! You could end up in the scenario from any Airship ending, so that means, that Henry went from being a petty robber in BTB, to an escaped prisoner and a petty thief, vainly searching for jobs in ETP and STD, then theoretically being a Government Supported Private Investigator or a Relentless Bounty Hunter and a pardoned man with slight thieving tendencies in ITA, becoming desperate for freedom, when captured in FTC and (almost)abandoning his thieving tendencies out of fear of possibly returning there. And finally becoming the richest man in the world, and a legitimate businessman owning an entire space resort, while having been reformed AND reforming lots of former Toppats!
From a poor petty robber, to the greatest businessman set for life! I can't imagine a better way to end up! (I guess you may see one of the endings with Ellie as a better one, but these are my two cents)
I'm inclined to agree, it's probably the biggest boon out of all of the "lone wolf" type endings. Jewel Baron, Cleaned Em Out, Little Nest Egg (and Capital Gains), etc? Once he spends the money from his sweet loot, he's broke again. Stickmin Space Resort? Legitimate business, income for life, and he's still the master of his own fate (compared to endings like Triple Threat and Special BROvert Ops, where his post-ending future shenanigans have become at the behest of the military, or Toppat King, where even though he rules, he still has to do what the rest of the Toppats feel is in line with their collective interests in order to _stay_ king).
Of the lone wolf type endings (so we're not counting Valiant Hero here), I would see Revenged as the _worst_ ending for Henry, as he literally dies cold and alone, with only the satisfaction of having royally fucked over the Toppats and nothing else.
@@WackoMcGoose Totally! Always feels nice to have someone on the same page! :-)
In the "jump" choice in the SSR ending, henry didn't actually clip through the floor, he was ground down on the asphalt like a human eraser
16:57
The way that Henry disintegrates in the laser reminds me of the way Galeem Destroyed everyone besides Kirby in Smash Bros Ultimate's story mode World of Light. In it (Spoilers), It ends up firing loads of lasers at everyone after absorbing the Master Hands that accompanied it. These lasers completely absorb everyone besides Kirby, who only escaped thanks to a Warp Star. This Galeem death laser effect was used in multiple videos, leading to some funny videos where characters and up destroyed by Galeem.
I'm pretty sure the log in the vault is the stereotypical log that ninjas use in their place when they disappear.
I don't know if you mentioned it before but "The Magician" is called a former professional wrestler which is a reference to the Jerma985 Live Action Rumble, where a magician was a contestant and also pulled organs out of his opponents
