if your looking for a reason for charles and moira to let wanda go crazy and cause decimation i think its the creation of the five. if decimation doesn't happen than hope wouldn't be needed as a mutant messiah and would probably still be a baby right now and if her and wanda don't undo the spell at the end of of avengers vs x men do fabio and eva get their powers
The five wouldn’t have been necessary if Wanda hadn’t decimated the mutants. You got to remember that mutants were on the rise. They were so many mutants popping up. I mean they even created their own country granted the UN gave the country to magneto thinking that it would consume him.
@@Mcelly58 that’s true but that doesn’t really explain why The Five wouldn’t be needed for resurrections. X Men would still go on missions and potentially die, meaning the Five would still be needed to bring them back
@@Mcelly58 the five are part of moira and charles plan to not lose like they do in all of moiras other lives. like dave said they could stop these genocides they knew about from happening or just fix them later and get something out of it
@@eomoro1199 just because Genosha was doesn’t mean The Five wouldn’t have shown up albeit it would have been later. Yes, the X-Men being able to be resurrected after missions IS a plus but they did that for years without the use of the five. I’m not saying the current status quo is bad at all. If you really get down to it helps powers aren’t really that rare. If you remember that they have Mimic and Synch as potential replacements if the need ever arisen. As far as Proteus goes, he’s a reality warper so you can just bring in somebody like Jamie Braddock, Mr. M, or even wildside of The Mutant liberation front. Eva and Fabio would’ve ended up joining eventually and elixir is right there. They could’ve done a rendition of the five with any mutants granted they had the correct power set.
I would expect by the time WandaVision wraps up and she is revealed to be a mutant in the MCU, that the comics will retcon her status again, making her a mutant once and for all. How this plays out I have no idea, I'm not one for theory crafting. But if I would trust anyone to pull it off and make it work it would be Hickman.
This video had me thinking of the various allies/enemies of the involved parties. Sinister just gave Jamie a clone and he has Psylocke under his thumb, so the idea that he was instrumental in a plot against Wanda and their coming to his defense would be interesting. On the other hand, Wanda's son-in-law is the Emperor of Space and that could mess with S.W.O.R.D. and Dave's mutants take over space theories. Plus, what would that do to the Quiet Council if the big names created/transformed Wanda into Krakoa's boogeyman? Would the election forming the new X-men extend to the Quiet Council and we see these individuals dethrone? Would Mystique use this reveal to "burn everything down" because she's still separated from her wife? Would Arrako capitalize on this instability and "take over"?
I want to see the road of redemption for Wanda for years she's been written as unstable and a little one note. Looks like I'm to start reading inferno and the Scarlet witch solo series from 2015. I'm reading so many X events now haha. Trying to catch up. Great work Dave can't wait for the next video!
You know I think that Wanda really doesn’t like Mutants. If she was to just say that and still be on the avengers, that would say a lot. It would be a lot more meatier also give her an edge. She is a superhero but she doesn’t like mutants. Why is it so hard to imagine that a superhero could be prejudice?
@@Mcelly58 I kind of see were your coming from but I take the no more mutants moment as a heat of the moment thing mutants have suffered so much there should be no more mutants. A quick end to a bad thought. She wasn't thinking straight. Also the pretender of mutant kind to the savior is a wonderful arc. Not to mention her connection to the New Prince of space Wiccan. I could talk about this all day haha
I would really like it if the first point we see scarlet witch in the X-line (excluding empyre) would be Excalibur. Like the team has a problem with Chaos Magic and needs her help, while the rest of the team is hesitant Rogue just straight up calls her revisiting their time as Avengers together. It would be an appropriate starting point.
@@marcosbarros3592 I hope doom as something to do with Franklin's new status as a non mutant. Otherwise chip zdarsky's wonderful fantastic four X-Men is pointless
My headcanon is that Wanda subconsciously altered reality to make herself and Pietro into non mutants and when she realizes that, she'll restore reality to normal and be a mutant again.
Ditto. I thought the same thing. That she was so angry with Magneto that she wanted to make it so that she and her brother had nothing to do with him. I always imagined it as being more anti-Magneto than anti-mutant per se.
Gotta return to mutant status in the comics. I even have a way for the MCU to make it so. The infinity stone didn't give the twins their power, it awakened them. That's why everyone else tested by Hydra died. It's also why when Thanos was coming to earth, she didn't feel his presence like Vision. He was directly connected to the stone, she wasn't.
I’ve watched this 6x already!!!! My mind is blown. As someone who loves X-men ,as well as being heavily invested in the events of house of M. This is perfect!!!! PERFECT I TELL YOU. This has to be what they’re leading too. And if you’re updated on Wanda in the comics. She definitely wants to atone for these sins. Ah man so good! Thank you for this video. P.S. this could all start with Mystique blowing the whistle on the whole thing. I could see Destiny playing apart in Wanda past in some way. Like she could have seen that’s what Charles and Moira were about to do. And it starts with Wanda.
I feel like The Watcher should make his presence permanent with The Scarlet Witch. At this point Jean Grey and The Scarlet Witch should always stay under the Watchers eyes.
@@nguyentuition1092 i know and the Watchers do that. They r actually aware of everything that's happening in the multiverse, their cosmic awareness is vast
Ok here my theory with Wanda mutant state With context of house of m ending we had magneto beating quicksilver to near death And understandable Wanda was not taking that well, we know that what triggers her to say no more mutants but what if subconsciously she wish for her and quicksilver not to be related to magneto and his world in a way to protect her and her brother form that it may be a leap in logic but Wanda wasn’t in a stable mindset during this so that my interpretations of what could be result of this
Yeah I was thinking the same. Maybe Wanda subcounciosly alter reality so she and her brother were never mutants and Magneto children because of what happen at the end of House of M.
I hadn't thought about it but that is in fact a clever loophole to explain why she's not a mutant anymore. But how do you connect it with the High Evolutionary being their "creator" ? And there is the fact that not only are Wanda and Pietro not mutants anymore but they're not the children of Magneto either (Graydon Creed, the human child of Sabretooth and Mystique is proff that one could have mutant parents and still be human). And after this petty double retcon (Them not being Magneto's children in the Axis event and them not being mutants anymore in Uncanny Avengers), There has been a Scarlet Witch solo series that introduced Wanda and Pietro "real" parents. What do you make of them ? Because I'm not very fond of this solo series but I hate when creators "forget" something and turn it into "not cannon anymore" because it's not convenient.
Christian Pereira the fact that apparently a lot of mother keep giving the high evolutionary their babies it hard to keep track if he actually knew which one was his creation or just took their genes to make a chimera The whole mess with high evolutionary being the connective tissues to every aspect of the marvel universe history is probably the enduring part of his character
Christian Pereira as for the solo series the part that sticks out to me as wrong being them trying to disprove the whole the high evolutionary couldn’t be the creator because he doesn’t know magic when he has dealing with magic to sorcerers to Lovecraftian gods especially when it do to the whole elder god under the mountain that help made Wanda be able to achieve magic to begin with
Great theory! I almost think it doesn't even need to be quite that complicated. The way her powers work she could have done it to herself, but I love including Sinister in the roll out of all that happened. I think it would be beneficial for the story to have this center around Wanda re-establishing herself as a hero, and reclaiming all that she has lost. She'd be considered omega level I assume?
That would be the way to end Reign of X, since this story arc seems to be about Mutants Expansion and gaining Power. The next arc could be Schism. The last arc could be about revealing the big picture of how Moira's plan saves the Mutants in the long term maybe tying up all those pesky dark alternate time lines.
Theory: Wanda and Pietro find out they were staged as scapegoats, in revenge on Charles, Moira, Sinister, etc. They release Amenth dem9ns on Krakoa. This not only gives inferno 2.0 without too much rehashing (copy paste from original or Wanda loses her mind again) but serves as a way to bring Apocalypse back to earth 616
I dunno how I feel about that. I think there are other ways to make her a mutant again, but making her a victim is a little bit clichè. I am all about her atoning and working towards rebuilding her reputaion, but in my personal opinion, I don't think using the "she was being manipulated all along without any knowledge" would make good storytelling. It was her, she did it, and she has to deal with it. I can see ProfX and Moira wanting her to build an Utopia, but I don't think they would want her to erradicate mutants. And in the pages of SWORD, I see Magneto wanting his daughter and son back. And there is the fragment from Moira's journal in the last pages of HoX/PoX about how they "lost Magneto". I think it has something to do with that.
Yeah, this is the part I struggle with the most about the general idea. I talked about it a little, but I do agree with the sentiment that making her a pawn of someone else's game has been done too often!
Honestly I just want Wanda to have a better writing quality, a lot of the times she's just been a plot device. Give me more Wanda comics, Especially magical detective Wanda.
Good theory...Seeing how it seems they may be retconning Wanda to be a mutant in the mcu it would be perfect timing for this to take place in comics. 😧Now we have to find a way to deal with the Franklin Richards situation
If Franklin Richards not mutant? What about Lighting Lad who have no x gene, but act like a Mutant?. How the Anomalous Humans they not welcome? If they children are mutants?.
I absolutely stand behind this plan and can actually see this working. If you take into consideration as well how many times we’ve seen Billy as part of the X-men in the future as well this would be a great way to follow that continuity. We’ve had SWORD talk about the pretender and Hulkling/Wiccan so this would be a great way to add to the story of them as well.
I love this theory and it fits right in with my idea. I've been hoping for a storyline featuring Wanda (the Scarlet Witch/the Pretender) and a way to restore her and Quick Silvers mutant history with father Magneto and half sister Polaris. It starts with Mister Sinister in consultation with the Beast and Exodus, Wanda (the Scarlet Witch/the Pretender) must pay for her past misdeeds against mutant kind, Sinister then deploys his team the Hellions to collect Wanda from Doctor Stranges' Strange Academy to stand trial before Krakoas Quiet Council. Mystique leaks news of Wandas imminent abduction to Pietro (Quick Silver), who goes off half cocked and nearly stops the Hellions until Magik takes him by surprise. Soon after Pietro ventures to Avengers Mountain and talks to Captain America and the current Avengers, the Avengers hands are tied as they must follow the proper international protocol or trigger the possibility of an international confrontation with Krakoa, Pietro frustrated then gathers an rogue Avengers squad consisting of Doctor Voodoo, Vision, Wonder Man, Wasp, Hawkeye (characters close to Wanda) who look to rescue Wanda from Krakoa. Many Krakoan mutants want Wandas head after the events of House of M decimation, but Krakoa is split, mutants like Polaris, Firestar, Toad and a majority of the X-Men are in support of Wanda. The Quiet Council are split on Wandas abduction but as she is now on Krakoa and at the behest of the many Krakoan mutants it is decided that she stand trial after much discussion between the Quiet Council. IT IS DURING THE TRIAL WHERE YOUR MISTER SINISTER THEORY COULD COME INTO EFFECT. Once revealed that Wanda and Pietro are infact mutants and his children, Magneto steps forward to defend his daughter. Will the Quiet Council put Wanda into the pit when/if found guilty ?. As soon as the black op Avengers set foot on Krakoan soil, Black Tom Cassidy senses the intruders and sets up an ambush. Finally the current Avengers hand is forced and they join the action. A Mutant Civil War at its finest.
I thought the Madelyne Prior stuff in Hellions was the Inferno revisit, but I like these theories. There's definitely more that will be done with Scarlet Witch during this run. Even more than her though, Quicksilver works best as a mutant. He has the most history in the X Books.
Wonder if the Xavier we got after he was killed isn't really Mr Sinister acting like Charles . that would explain why he is cold to people at times . He does have Shape shifting Abilities to and is a Telepath
Its Canon. You have to read AXIS wanda being a flip of herself cut all genetic ties to magneto. Thats what made them humans with powers. In tandem which is why they were in Age of ultron because they weren't mutants anymore
I hope at the end of this magneto gets back his mutant kids and Polaris remains his baby also. Wanda is a reality warper. after all that stuff she did while comatose. Changing Her orign should be easy. Her subconscious could be used to remove magneto for being a crappy dad. I love how they using mr sinister. Essex was so sneaky but still very powerful back in the 90s. Sinister was/is scary because you know he's up to shady stuff but you can't guess what until he shows you.
It would be such an easy retcon to say Wanda wasn't behind M-Day. There was that creepy panel of Xavier surrounded by black robed figures. Just say they were behind everything. Now the Scarlet Witch isn't a mass murderer but someone who was framed.
@@lady1903 I like Bendis' comics since his dialogue is so snappy but long-term planning isn't among his strengths. There's even been storyarchs where he forgets details he wrote in issues just a few months earlier.
I pretty much thought the retcon was an easy fix. Wanda's mentally unstable and has warped reality unconsciously before. Since she never considers Dadneto the best of fathers she may have subconsciously warped her and Pietro's DNA to not be their dad. So when she used that spell, she had a reason to break ties with her father. However, if she had known the fall out of doing so AKA being labeled the Great Pretender, would she still have done it? I do find this theory ultimately to be more thrilling. It makes mutant heroes, usually pictured in a well light look not so great it also resolves Wanda from a lot of guilt and probably breaks a lot of trusts within the mutant community. I'll be honest, as entertaining I found the plants vs zombies in Empyre. I hated how they used Wanda's guilt as a catalyst, talk about LAME character development. If any... At this point I'll take her willingly team up with Chthon, giving everyone a DAMN good reason to hate and fear her because I'm tired of her accidentally creating some type of crisis, plot point drivel BS. Make her the Goddess of Chaos, make her a villain for a few years, or retcon her back to a mutant, because shit as a Scarlet Witch fan, I am seeing very little character development and her taking a lot of BS from mutants when they are once again flourishing.
How would the parentage of the twins be fixed then? And I think the Wanda situation will be addressed in S.W.O.R.D. Because it’s being set up in that tittle, alr with magneto Wanda and Wiccan.
Wanda & Pietro's history has been retconned more than probably any other characters in Marvel history. Originally they were a pair of orphans saved from an angry mob by Magneto. Then they were the children of Miss America and the Whizzer, who abandoned them when Miss America died during childbirth. Then their "real" father Django Maximoff tried to claim them, and it was revealed Wanda's tie to magic was due to Chthon. Then Magneto and Madga were their parents. Then that was labeled false. Then the High Evolutionary experimented on Django and Anna Maximoff's human children. Then that was halfway labeled false, and Natalya Maximoff was their mother, and the first Scarlet Witch. Putting Sinister behind all of the misdirection could work, but it would almost need a mini/maxi series to iron it all out.
I believe all of the previous continuity can be maintained with a very mild retcon. The twins newest history is that their mother was a Romani witch named Natalya Maximoff, and their father is unnamed. Now imagine that Natalya is also the Romani wife of Magneto, using the name Magda, looking to "retire" from the adventurous life that had been consuming her existence. When the house fire traps their daughter Anya, and Magnus unleashes his fury on the villagers, she flees, because this is exactly what she did not want. "Magda" goes to Wundagore, which Natalya is familiar with, and gives birth, before abandoning the twins, and fleeing again. Chthon made contact with Wanda due to the hereditary potential of the Scarlet Witch. This leaves so much story potential. Did "Magda" really die in the blizzard? Did Anya really die in the house fire? The High Evolutionary's claim of experimenting on them could be factual as well. His failure wasn't in giving them their abilities, but in ruining their development of those abilities, which is why the creation Luminous is more powerful than both twins. This would be in between attempting to give the twins to Robert Frank, and giving them to Django and Marya Maximoff, who were potentially their aunt and uncle, which would add credence to them naming their daughter Ana, and "Magda" naming her daughter Anya, and Django's talent for animating the dolls he made, making it his magic, and not inherent in the wood. After House of M, Magneto, Quicksilver, and the Scarlet Witch appeared to be part of the group who had their X-Gene removed, but in reality, all Wanda did was suppress it. When Magneto and Quicksilver both attempted to regain their abilities, all they really did was unlock what was still there. Pietro's "new" abilities he gained from the exposure to the Terrigen crystals, were actually part of his original abilities before the High Evolutionary's tampering. This also leaves an opening to explore how Wanda's abilities would have progressed without his influence. The blood spell she cast in Axis didn't visibly affect her either. If you read how she worded the spell, it does not distinguish to exclude herself from the curse. My opinion is that Pietro bore the brunt of the changes the High Evolutionary made, and it made him more susceptible to her spell, which is why only he was visibly affected, but due to their tampered genes, actually affected them both, and had the side effect of hiding the X-Gene, like the original House of M spell, but allowing them to still access the abilities. This is a whole lot of fan theory, but it is also the easiest solution to the twins convoluted past, and bring opportunity for a wealth of future stories.
Your theory fits in with one I have about how Franklin Richards lost his powers. I think Xavier, Moira, and Beast are being controlled by Krakoa. I think Sinister and Krakoa worked together to neutralize Franklin's X gene and powers. I think it breaks down when Reed Richards discovers Sinister's handiwork, during a routine exam of Franklin.
Remember when at the end of Children's Crusade when Doom said he was responsible for Wands saying No More Mutants? Glad no one remembers or cared cause he most definitely only said that out of his twisted sense of love towards wanda to take the blame for what she did
Scarlet Witch is one of my favorite characters. I hate that Marvel retconned her origin, especially since Marvel got rights back of Fox characters. Geez loiuse!!!
Technically The High Evolutionary is the work behind all mutants , when Mr Sinister used an early version of The High Evolutionary' s work he created his own brand of Mutants from existing genetic stock. The High Evolutionary considers mutants as a flawed by product of his work. So technically Wanda , and Quicksilver could easily be mistaken for mutants as genetic engineering based upon work that created mutants wouldn't be distinguishable as genetically they would be the same. The only difference would be in when the genetics happened after birth instead of naturally occurring as part of the normal expression of existing genetics since birth.
The initial disconnect was when Wanda created a spell to effect her family... a spell that only effected Pietro and not magneto.... I dont feel Gene altering on Sinister's behave would effect that but I may be wrong. Still going with Scarlet Witch used all that extra power to rewrite her and Quicksilver's backstory
I ALWAYS think Mr. Sinister is a possibility. In Marvel, when it comes to cloning and evolution there's the unholy trinity of Mr. Sinister, The High Evolutionary and Professor Miles Warren/The Jackal. Whether it's clones of mutants, Peter Parker or Gwen Stacy, you can trace it back to two out of the three. Now, when it comes to Wanda and Pietro, you can almost always trace it straight to The High Evolutionary. But, you also need to include Magneto in this because, he's had several dealings with The High Evolutionary dealing with the twins. Also, Magneto himself after the death of his 1st child in a fire and death of his wife Magda, seems to always have questionable parentage to other mutants(Wanda, Pietro, Polaris, and Zaladane). He could very well be in on this with Charles or doing his own thing with Wyndam.
I also think that Sinister making himself a Mutate and being on the council is their way of excluding Wanda as a scapegoat. Wanda and her mutant magic are likely one of their only hopes against future Super-Nimrods, the Phalanx or even that evil Krakoan zombie virus black stuff. After the recent otherworld stuff I am wondering if Wanda's mutant power is to tap into just straight up 'magical power/energy' which she innately used for reality manipulation and her hexes originally IIRC. It would also mean that eventually she could ultimately do whatever she wants because her mutant gene lets her tap the forces of magic slash the universe. xD
Ļove scarlett witch as a magic mutant whith her being the nexus of magic and her mutant powers just enhancing them which turn can make her into a second mutation to be Omega🔥
What if Wanda's actions are one of those Touchstone moments in each of Moira's lives if she lived enough lifetimes to know that it's one of those things that always happens. Remember she's lived a thousand years in one lifetime, there's much more pressing enemies to deal with in her mind as well.
Okay but what about the pre-existing connection from the retcon? The Children of the Vault are basically humans that have been super-evolved into having powers too. Couldn't Wanda and Pietro be accepted as proto-Children of the Vault? There's an angle there. I don't think it's been explored. It wouldn't even have to affect the subsequent reclaiming of the twins as Mutants.
All the talk of Wanda, but not a single mention of Pietro as a mutant. He’s been sidelined and he only showed up recently after Scarlet Witch’s mysterious death. He also resembles Magneto the most. There has been no character development for Quicksilver.
The Hellions storyline was pretty much an “anti-Inferno” non-event. The original brought up and tied together several long running plot threads, character conflicts, amid a major, senses shattering event that involved and affected many teams and titles. Hellions was a 3 issue blip on the radar, involving a newly formed “team” the majority of which were regulated to “B” level background fighting with zombified Marauders, while the primary plot sequence was basically individual monologues and a dialogue between Havok and The Goblin Queen. How was this primary “conflict” resolved? With a sniper shot by Scalphunter, who was in the B plot for 99.999% of the fight. SUCH. A. DISAPPOINTMENT. Being a big Madelyn fan, I felt betrayed and abused (I may be exaggerating a bit) by the tease of a Krakoan invasion by her majesty, her zombified Marauders, and her demonic horde. THAT would have been a proper Inferno 2.0 event, that would have affected, involved, and impacted the ENTIRETY of mutantdom, and ALL its titles. All her abusers and enemies gathered together (X-Factor, X-Men, Hellfire Club, Sinister), how could she NOT try to take a giant fly swatter to the island nation? The only ones on her hit list NOT there would’ve been The Reavers, Genoshan Magistrates and Press Gang, and Loki. I mean....COME ON. Maybe the Powers That Be over in Marvel will do us a favor and release it as a multi- issue, MAJOR “What If...?” maxi series event. Please?
Even if he tries to fix her, I doubt it will stick. There really isn’t any escape from what happened in 2005, something that her fans will probably never let go.
Was Wanda considered Omega level before the retcon? If the X Office considers redeeming her, she could be a stand in for Franklin Richards now that he's (likely) off the table 🤔
If your theory would end up happening theres no redemption for Charles. To have an Inferno 2.0 it's not enough to have Sinister scheming, the limbo demons are needed too. How are you fitting those into the whole thing?
@@rosesweetcharlotte I didn't either as I was a child. But growing up, I could see that he was not a perfect hero, but a man that has a noble goal. But just like in real life, if you want to change the world, you sometimes have to chose the lesser evil or make bold choices that can backfire. With the time, those bad choices started to add up and it was hard to see past them. From an Hickman interview, I believe that Hickman wants to give a wider context to Charles most controversial decisions. But I understand if people don't relate to Xavier.
5:40 I think you’re taking that out of context. You got to remember at the time she was changing reality and Xavier was telling her to put it back because she doesn’t know the difference between fantasy and reality. You’re also forgetting that it was Quicksilver that made her change reality. Also, you are forgetting the attitude that want to head after decimation. She didn’t care about the mutants she was just tired of being blamed for what happened. Hey this is just an interesting thought, what if sinister cloned Wanda and made her into a mutant. What if he has his clone of her on the island? What if sinister’s plan is to rewrite the mutant island so he’s in charge and instead of Krakoa We have basically a natural habitat for sinister to observe and tinker with mutantkind at his leisure. 12:20 I think you’re also forgetting that for the longest time Wanda was hiding in the avengers. Wanda has always been a self hating mutant if you look at her history she’s never done anything for mutant kind. OK, remember at the end of onslaught. The avengers sacrifice themselves to take out the villain and wonder who was a mutant at the time was able to sacrifice yourself despite the fact that it was established that any mutants would restart or should I say rejuvenate Onslaught. I think Wanda has been masquerading as a mutant this entire time I do agree with you when you suggested that Mr. sinister has been behind this.
04:47 Sorry but the answer is that these stories were written long before Hickman and there is a limit to what Hickman can do to justify all this story excess baggage that the x-men have. You are trying to justify ALL the inconsistencies that this soft reboot has left and that is not possible. Marvel can't maintain a proper continuity in its current events and you think that much older stories stay in perfect continuity?
Disagree completely. I think Hickman is doing an excellent job to try and connect all the past storylines and incorporate them into his current run. It’s a bold and difficult task but I feel like he’s doing a great job like no other previous writer before him has.
Well Wanda is still on that quest to fix the mutants of Gnosha that she resurrected as Zombies so what if Wanda stole T'Challa's title as King of The Dead via a ritual, with the Scarlet Witch's powers we could get a Marvel Zombies story where Scarlet Witch is QUEEN OF THE DEAD picture that a whole planet of undead that all bow before the power of the Scarlet Witch.
Personally I would want the revelations about what sinister is doing to tip the whole mutants are exclusive nonsense on its head. We have well over half a century of various different mutates, in humans, deviants, and other human variants that would be bumped together in the marvel universe. But because Hickman's writing X-Men, the x gene mutants get special treatment.
@@cake6851 Well if I was to take a guess I'd give slott another year and a half maybe and Hickman another 3-4 maybe longer due to new ideas during covid. And my theory is that we may get another crossover with 4 and x around the time Chimeras start showing which will explain Franklin's powers, after what happened in Incoming
Well looks like this theory won't be happening, i really can't see wanda ever getting fully redeemed/rehabilitated (perhaps a timeline reset) i just don't think marvel cares enough about her unfortunately.
@@notmyname5591 he’s a hybrid of a human and Atlantean that has nothing to do with being a ‘half mutant’ a witch is also a human so the hybrid comparison still doesn’t make sense
It either Wanda, or Nightmare and Mephisto. Remember the story of Azazel. Now it only Wanda who is pregnant, Dottie is pregnant also. I wish they use Azazel he from race Ancient Mutants with Demonic Features.
I think that all the writers that kept saying the Wanda took out all but 2% of the mutants and leaving only 182 need to learn some maths... But it wouldn't be Inferno without S'ym and N'astirh - imagine an all-out battle between Magik, Wanda, Dr. Strange, the Demons of Limbo, Mephisto, Project Purgatory, Mister Sinister. Heck, throw in the Apocalypse leading a demon horde from Amenth to save the day...
The ONLY reason they did this bullshit-assed retcon was because Fox still had the rights to all of the X-Men & FF characters. But let's not get it twisted in any way shape or form, Wanda & PIETRO ARE MUTANTS! They were BORN w/their powers, they did not get they're powers artificially like Spider-Man[Parker/Morales], Iron Man, Cap, & others. So no, they're not "enhanced", they're not Mutates, they're Mutants. And now that Disney has all characters back under one umbrella, watch them retcon their retcon. Simply put, they're gonna restore everything, & put everything back to normal where she & Quicksilver are the children of Magneto
In your video, you don't address one important fact about Wanda. Since the Axis event, her and Pietro are not Magneto's children anymore. So in your idea of using Mr Sinister and one of his secret schemes to re-establish them as mutants, do you envision this scheme making them Magneto's children once more ? Also, like I said in response to another comment here, there has been a Scarlet Witch solo series that introduced Wanda and Pietro "real" parents. What do you make of them ? Because I'm not very fond of this solo series but I hate when creators "forget" something and turn it into "not cannon anymore" because it's not convenient. This sereis and those characters exist in the Marvel landscape and, in retconning back Wanda and Pietro into being mutants, you had to also address this series.
I think we're seeing some indication that Magneto may want a relationship with at least Wanda and her children. So I can see him just declaring them his kids and that being it.
This is i think the clusterFU result of marvel giving then movie rival fox the ice pick stick up on the side because marvel wants to mess with fox then control og the xmen line. Not that fox did a supetb job in portraying the xmen on a silver screen. And then thepretzel twisting result to explain away the prentender and her twin as not being mutants. From being inhuman? To whatever the crap wanda and pietro are now. Be safe. Mabuhay!
They only did that because they wanted to bring Wanda into the mcu and fox still had the rights to mutants. It sucks and they should undo that. She's a mutant to me too

This just blew my mind and works within context of the Hickman era and would tie so many thing together so nicely.

It actually feels like the comics are building to this too. And it will be hilarious.
WandaVision seems to be about her becoming a Witch, and about her Chaos Magic. The New Salem, Agatha, Chthon, and Wundagore Mountain stuff.

Even Moira herself knows how to get rid of the mutant gene too! Remember from her third life.
Good point!!
And yet it just crossed my mind that Destiny could have used it against her before she killed her.
That's why she doesn't want Destiny around but come on give mystique her wife back. It's going to happen one way or another
Good callback! Also, the fact that both Wanda and Franklin Richards can pass as mutants is quite peculiar, since they have similar powerset
@@marcosbarros3592 I hope doom as something to do with Franklin's new status as a non mutant. Otherwise chip zdarsky's wonderful fantastic four X-Men is pointless

P.S. this could all start with Mystique blowing the whistle on the whole thing.
Why do Jean need the Watcher? Wanda has precognition, that should help her to forsee things

Ok here my theory with Wanda mutant state
With context of house of m ending we had magneto beating quicksilver to near death
And understandable Wanda was not taking that well, we know that what triggers her to say no more mutants but what if subconsciously she wish for her and quicksilver not to be related to magneto and his world in a way to protect her and her brother form that it may be a leap in logic but Wanda wasn’t in a stable mindset during this so that my interpretations of what could be result of this
Yeah I was thinking the same.
Christian Pereira the fact that apparently a lot of mother keep giving the high evolutionary their babies it hard to keep track if he actually knew which one was his creation or just took their genes to make a chimera
The whole mess with high evolutionary being the connective tissues to every aspect of the marvel universe history is probably the enduring part of his character
Christian Pereira as for the solo series the part that sticks out to me as wrong being them trying to disprove the whole the high evolutionary couldn’t be the creator because he doesn’t know magic when he has dealing with magic to sorcerers to Lovecraftian gods especially when it do to the whole elder god under the mountain that help made Wanda be able to achieve magic to begin with
Yeah that makes sense
Great theory! I almost think it doesn't even need to be quite that complicated. The way her powers work she could have done it to herself, but I love including Sinister in the roll out of all that happened. I think it would be beneficial for the story to have this center around Wanda re-establishing herself as a hero, and reclaiming all that she has lost. She'd be considered omega level I assume?
I doubt Sinister worked with Chthon.
I still think Moira's plans are gonna go bad.
The sorcerer Ian McNee, in Marvel Tarot, said it was either Chthon or Set who were behind M Day.
Everything points to Chthon as the culprit.
@@sophiawilson8696 it was revealed in fantastic 4 series Franklin wasn't a mutant sadly
How does one get star witness Chthon to attend the trial? Bit tricky.
This would be amazing! I hope something like this happens.
Dude...Inferno will end with a Sw vs Cosmic Franklin.
THIS! I’ve never seen it explained who those three figures were and it was hand waved away.
Very interesting. However, I'd rather continue to see krakoa flourish then read a Scarlet witch redemption story tbh
I don’t think it’s coming up
Anytime soon
Pietro wearing the super skimpy torn up outfits I love it
Your theory fits in with one I have about how Franklin Richards lost his powers. I think Xavier, Moira, and Beast are being controlled by Krakoa. I think Sinister and Krakoa worked together to neutralize Franklin's X gene and powers. I think it breaks down when Reed Richards discovers Sinister's handiwork, during a routine exam of Franklin.
O______o
Remember when at the end of Children's Crusade when Doom said he was responsible for Wands saying No More Mutants?
Glad no one remembers or cared cause he most definitely only said that out of his twisted sense of love towards wanda to take the blame for what she did
Chthon was behind it.
Does anyone seriously think it wasn't Chthon the Elder God?
Scarlet Witch is one of my favorite characters. I hate that Marvel retconned her origin, especially since Marvel got rights back of Fox characters. Geez loiuse!!!
Amazing theory!
It would also mean that eventually she could ultimately do whatever she wants because her mutant gene lets her tap the forces of magic slash the universe. xD
I think you meant Mr. Sinister a mutant. Remember he slice a x gene off Thunderbird and this plant clone was reborn a mutant?.
No more chaos magic. She just go back to probability manipulation and basic reality warping.
Chaos Magic ties her to her arch enemy Chthon the Elder God, and Wundagore Mountain.
Oh I love this
Okay but what about the pre-existing connection from the retcon? The Children of the Vault are basically humans that have been super-evolved into having powers too. Couldn't Wanda and Pietro be accepted as proto-Children of the Vault? There's an angle there. I don't think it's been explored. It wouldn't even have to affect the subsequent reclaiming of the twins as Mutants.
All the talk of Wanda, but not a single mention of Pietro as a mutant. He’s been sidelined and he only showed up recently after Scarlet Witch’s mysterious death. He also resembles Magneto the most. There has been no character development for Quicksilver.
Love this idea 🔥
Please?
I always wondered why there arent any full-time Avengers that are mutants.
Briefly Firestar was a member of Avenger. I am not sure if this carry plot carry in this new storyline.
Very very interesting....
If your theory would end up happening theres no redemption for Charles.
To have an Inferno 2.0 it's not enough to have Sinister scheming, the limbo demons are needed too. How are you fitting those into the whole thing?
Wanda's connections to Mephisto from West Coast Avengers!
I'm not sure there is redemption for Charles where we stand now.
@@nathancrawford312 I believe the whole Hickman Era is an actual redemption of Charles : he is a very good man, but he was "broken" by Moira.
I never liked Charles to begin with, so I don't see the problem.
That recon sucks, Marvel should undo it. Marvel did that only because Fox had the rights to mutants in movies
God I hate Bendis for ruining her and Vision.
I mean you could say that with any franchise universe if we’re getting to nitty and gritty of things
Disagree completely. I think
Hickman is doing an excellent job to try and connect all the past storylines and incorporate them into his current run. It’s a bold and difficult task but I feel like he’s doing a great job like no other previous writer before him has.
Call out to the red Shoes and Sinister
They'll probably do this since they need a new reality warper since Franklin is off the board because of Slott.
I doubt that'll last past his run
@@bradonbriffa9690 Yeah but who knows when slott will be booted off the book and who knows how long Hickman's x men will be.

And my theory is that we may get another crossover with 4 and x around the time Chimeras start showing which will explain Franklin's powers, after what happened in Incoming
It’s my understanding that she can’t create a reality but more like undo it based on probability.
Well looks like this theory won't be happening, i really can't see wanda ever getting fully redeemed/rehabilitated (perhaps a timeline reset) i just don't think marvel cares enough about her unfortunately.

Both humans and Atlantean can be mutants , so namor is a half human half Atlantean who is also a mutant
@@notmyname5591 he’s a hybrid of a human and Atlantean that has nothing to do with being a ‘half mutant’ a witch is also a human so the hybrid comparison still doesn’t make sense
@@KneeGrowDoingKneeGrowThings which has nothing to do with a half mutant
It either Wanda, or Nightmare and Mephisto. Remember the story of Azazel. Now it only Wanda who is pregnant, Dottie is pregnant also. I wish they use Azazel he from race Ancient Mutants with Demonic Features.
Wanda is a mutant and forever will be. Marvel made a her a non-mutant because at the time Fox held the movie rights to the XMen mutants.
Blame Disney
@@notmyname5591 Disney had nothing to do with 2015 Retcon story
Could be true
I think that all the writers that kept saying the Wanda took out all but 2% of the mutants and leaving only 182 need to learn some maths...
But it wouldn't be Inferno without S'ym and N'astirh - imagine an all-out battle between Magik, Wanda, Dr. Strange, the Demons of Limbo, Mephisto, Project Purgatory, Mister Sinister. Heck, throw in the Apocalypse leading a demon horde from Amenth to save the day...
It was 198 but since the day of event it more up to 300 mutants left.
@@sophiawilson8696 True. Meant 198. But 300 is still not 2% of nearly 1 million.
Is Magneto still seen as Wanda's biological father?
Nope unfortunately
Not since the retcon as Dave points out in the video
Be safe. Mabuhay!
Wanda will always be a mutant to me and magneto's daughter....that Rick remender retconn was straight garbage.
They only did that because they wanted to bring Wanda into the mcu and fox still had the rights to mutants. It sucks and they should undo that. She's a mutant to me too
But it is creating and interesting story.
@@rosesweetcharlotte
True....I did enjoy remender's uncanny avengers second series.
@@matoscu
...and remember Wanda casted a spell (in the AXIS event) ending she and pietro's/magneto bloodties....so in essence that spell can be reversed and plus, it seems she created an alternate reality with a new backstory and birth parents.
Wolverine wanting to kill Wanda after House of M makes little sense. If it weren’t for that event Wolverine would still be completely clueless as to his past history.
It's his go to move.
@@bradonbriffa9690 true but no reason to single out House of M as the reason he wants to kill her
@@210SAi I think it's along the line she did it once she'll do it again situation it's why he also wanted to kill Wiccan. He goes from 0 to 100 way to quickly
It doesn't matter she kill a whole race of mutants. If there only 300 mutants they not even a race any more.
"It's well known, even among casual Marvel fans..."
Filthy casuals. 🤣
We need an MCU Mr. Sinister. But a good looking "Thanos" class MCU Mr. Sinister, not Xmen: Apocalypse shitty "Ivan Ooze reboot" looking crap.
don't like scarlet witch the less she has to do with krakoa the better.....even though she was a mutant all those years she was a long standing avenger the 2nd most prominent female avenger after the wasp no need to start linking her with the xmen so much.
this video basically said nothing
