    There is no doubt that Strange is orchestrating all of this from behind the scenes and I honestly believe he is still alive and staged his death to make Stark believe he was on his own while Strange had to do other things in the shadows and off of Thanos' radar. (Adding) Considering Doctor Strange is one of Thano's biggest threats. And he knows this.
    There are three definitive instances where this can be proven. 1) It was confirmed that Benedict Cumberbatch was the only member of the cast who read the full script to both movies. 2) In an interview with Benedict Cumberbatch and Tom Holland, Holland let it slip that Cumberbatch had harder dialogue because of all his talking about the "Quantum Relam and quantum this and quantum that." Benedict looked like he was about to strangle Tom. This leads me to believe that he might be connected to Ant Man. And lastly and most importantly, 3) In Doctor Strange the Ancient One explains that they cannot see a future beyond their death and if this is true then Strange couldn't have been able to see all possible outcomes if he was really dead in all of them. He had to be alive to be able to do that, which suggests that because he can see into multiple futures that he doesn't dissolve in the snap and that the reason he saw only those 14,000,605 possibles outcomes is because those are the ones in which he remains alive. The ones that he can't see are the ones that do not include him because he either died during the fight or at some point after the snap (either because Thanos found out or something) but not BECAUSE of the snap because if he died during the snap he wouldn't be able to see any future passed that point in time.

    • @GigaLigma
      @GigaLigma 6 лет назад +10

      The important thing you missed is there's no reason to believe he died in all outcomes. Sure, he couldn't see the future of this specific outcome, but it's fair to assume that he could see a lot of OTHER possible futures and decided based on those that this was the best option. Not to say you're wrong over all, but there IS an explanation for that part.

    • @Lauren-zx3gx
      @Lauren-zx3gx 6 лет назад +28

      I think you misread my explanation. I didn't say he died in all the outcomes. I said that BECAUSE he saw as many outcomes that he did it proves that he's alive in all of them, up to a certain point, including the outcome of the future he put into motion which is safe to assume is the ONE in 14 million possibilities where they win. What I did say was that it's most likely that he dies in the futures he did NOT see, which is why J was asking why the amount of futures Strange saw was so specific and why there weren't more of them. Well, if he can not see the full outcome it's because he cannot see into futures passed his own death. If Doctor Strange saw as far as the full outcome of the ONE future in which the Avengers win, and it's safe to assume (cause this is what we are meant to ALL assume) that the plan in the end with Strange sacrificing the stone for Tony was part of the winning plan that was put into motion, then Doctor Strange must be alive throughout that future in order to have seen it and it would further support the rule that was established in his movie about looking into the future and seeing into different timelines.

    • @sertaki
      @sertaki 6 лет назад +20

      I need to watch the "Quantum Realm" interview now. Poor Cumberbatch. I can only picture Scar saying "I am surrounded by idiots" with a most condescending British voice.
      That said, I don't think your 3) is really valid. The Ancient one didn't use the time stone when reading her own future through magic - which ended at her death. The time stone most likely transcends the lifetime of its user. Having an "infinity" stone without basically omnipotent power when it comes to its domain seems rather unspectacular and doesn't fit with the power level we have been shown so far.

    One thing that my dad told me and I think is super important is that tony made Thanos bleed. It wasn’t much but in iron man 2 someone sad “if you could make god bleed, people would cease to believe in him.” In this case thanos is like a god and he didn’t think that “all that for a drop of blood” was so much. I think that tony just needed reassurance that thanos wasn’t invincible and that he could be killed or at least could bleed. But idk maybe I’m wrong but I thought that was cool

    I think that Doctor Strange used the time stone to go back to the 90’s to warn Nick Fury and Captain Marvel. That’s how Nick Fury knew when to use the pager for Captain Marvel and how Doctor Strange was a threat to Shield (as stated in the Winter Soldier). Since Doctor Strange takes place in 2016, but the Winter Soldier takes place in 2014, there has to be some sort of time travel involved.

    Take a look at the end scene for Ant Man and the Wasp. There, Ant Man ends up stuck in the Quantum Realm BECAUSE the rest of his team is killed by the Infinity Gauntlet. To me, THIS is the key to ultimately defeating Thanos, because Ant Man can manipulate time (and a lot of other trippy things) from there, perhaps even going back in time himself to undo some of the things from Infinity War. But he would NOT be able to do any of that unless he got stuck in the Quantum Realm, which means that Thanos needed to finish the guantlet and "win" first. I think Dr. Strange saw this as necessary for their ultimate victory.

    Love this video. For me personally, the way I interpreted it was that Dr Strange was looking into the future until he found an outcome where they win. I never thought that 14,000,605 was the total amount of possible outcomes, just thats how many he had to view until he found one that resulted in ultimate victory. Strange was still searching when Tony snapped him back to reality, so there most likely were many more outcomes of victory in the infinite number of possible ones. But since Strange only saw the one, that's the one he had to go with.

    • @speedreader2660
      @speedreader2660 6 лет назад +20

      You would think that, but he did say he looked at ALL the possible outcomes, indicating that 14,000,605 was all of them.

    • @Brinnyquinn
      @Brinnyquinn 6 лет назад +2

      ShadowBlade he could have been still searching, or he could have just been looking at the outcomes over and over to find the variables that HAD to happen

      That's not what "All" means. All means all. Dr. Strange is a very literal character, as seen in his movie. If he said "all" he meant every single possibility.

      Bl_nd Bull on Mars This is exactly what i have theorized. He keeps him in loop, but it restarts everytime. Thanos this way is not winning or achieving what he wants.
      But my only exception was, Dormammu would be included here somehow. Just maybe, Strange will put Thanos into Dormammu's dark world where he wont be the strongest guy in the universe even with all those infinity stones.
      To my knowledge, Dormammu is the strongest guy in the universe, and Thanos second even with his infinity gauntlet.

    I'm still suspicious of the green swirlies when Thanos is turning back time. We know that happens when Doctor Strange is doing it, but whenever the other infinity stones have been used, they only glowed - and the runic glowies when Doctor Strange uses it are probably because of the spell, not the stone.... a spell which Thanos doesn't need. So my theory is, there's a spell cast on the time stone by Doctor Strange, a spell that's sitting there and biding it's time, and when it's activated, will reverse time to when Thanos first used the time stone. Finger snap undone, Thor aim's for the head, everybody who's not Gamora wins.

You have a villian who managed to hold off the entire JL (excluding superman) and needed all the amazons, green lanterns, even zues himself to just make him retreat. And out of nowhere comes the unbeatable superman with couple of punches defeat him. The story has no sense in it, no character development (no one was excited after they resurrected superman), and a lot of wasted potentials. Heck if the fans made the film it would be better than the sh*tty WB.
      Well WB did get its punishment for messing up (450M $ box office) so i am happy ;)

      Nah the idea of antman and iron man going back in time through quantum realm is much more sensible. Ant man got stuck in quantum realm right after thanos snap and hope's mother told him not to go into time vortex (which he should to time travel), and dr strange stalled long enough for antman to get stuck into quantum realm (or else he would have given thanos the time stone earlier).
      Plus not doing quantum realm time travel will kill its hype that was build in antman 1&2.

    At this point it is obvious simply by the movies logic, that doctor strange comes back to life, because as we learned, one can't see further in the future than his own death. That's why the ancient one could not look further than her own death. But Strange died in infinity war and yet he saw beyond that, so he has to survive in the long run, otherwise it wouldn't make any sense...

      There's no unwritten rule saying that just because he died in this outcome, there was no outcome where he could have lived. I have a theory!!! There are two sets of infinity Stones!!! 😮🤔 Odin, in his great wisdom knew that the possibility of one person weilding the infinity Stones was very possible and could lead to great loses under power that easily corrupts, so he split each Stone in half and the stones currently under Thanos' control are the ones made to be believed to be the only ones because of the level of protection that went into keeping them secret. However, THERE IS another set of stones, I'm thinking of that easter egg found in another MCU movie, and I'm thinking that the stones will go into Thor's hammer or another gauntlet. And Thor will try to use it to defeat Thanos on a 50/50 even keel battle whose sole winner will be determined by the weilder's will. Unfortunately, Thor loses, but before all is lost, Iron Man Tony Stark is able to pick up Thor's hammer or Gauntlet and win the fight!!! Why Iron Man? Because unlike most other characters who have changed quite a lot, Tony hasn't changed much, so I would wager to say that his WILL is the strongest within The avengers. And that's why Dr. Strange let Thanos win. If the Avengers would've stopped Thanos, he would've lived and found out later about the other set of stones and without a preemptive strike, he would prepare batter and prevail for all eternity. So the element of surprise is part of the reason for defeating and possibly killing Thanos so he is no more! I know I rambled, but there's some truth to what I'm saying if enough of it makes sense!!!

    I always just assumed that the only way for them to defeat Thanos is for him to do the finger snap - because the snap doesnt just take away lives, it taught the Avengers a lesson. The Avengers left off divided due to Civil War. Tony Stark is NOT willing to forgive and reach out to Captain, even when Captain says he will be there whenever Tony needs him. The snap would have taught people the meaning of sacrifice, the importance of cherishing their loved ones and of course, the importance of uniting against evil, something which the Avengers truly lacked this time round. Tony was unwilling to contact Captain in the beginning even when he had to reach out to Vision. For every battle in this movie, not all of the Avengers are in the same place together. For the previous 2 Avengers movies, they succeeded when they worked together against the villains. This time round they were scattered across the universe. Maybe the key to winning is the original 6 uniting once more, and this can only happen when Tony Stark makes the decision to reach out to Captain again, that is why keeping Tony Stark alive was so important.

    • @J_Aaron_L
      @J_Aaron_L 5 лет назад +32

      100% agree to your point of them needing to learn a lesson. Strange knew who survived the snap and who didn't. It is the only way to defeat him.. somehow.

    • @cidneigregory3278
      @cidneigregory3278 5 лет назад +26

      This is a good one. I think that was the lesson that Thanos wanted to teach the world. He said he wanted to look at the sun rise on a grateful universe. I think they could have beat Thanos if they were all at the same place at the same time, which is what I think is going to happen in the End Game once Stark gets from space.

    • @drevfx_

He is the hero of the story, not the heroic character, but THE hero. The story starts with and ends with him. Furthermore, in his mind he is actually heroic and doing the right thing from his own perspective.

    So i started thinking about what the other outcomes Doctor Strange saw could be.
    THE FIGHT ON TITAN
    - Had Star Lord not freaked out and pulled Thanos out of his trance, Mantis would have failed to hold on any longer ("He is very strong!"), and even if Spidey got the gauntlet off him, they can't destroy the stones, and Thanos would overpower them in a few minutes after breaking free. He was strong enough to overpower the Hulk without using the power stone, as the stone only glows when it is used.
    - Given Star Lord's cocky demeanor, there would most likely be hundreds of futures where he still managed to distract Thanos after learning of Gamora's death.
    - Mantis losing control of Thanos without Star Lord might also take up a lot of futures, as she was clearly having a lot of trouble holding on.
    - The Infinity Gauntlet is huge and heavy. It might take a few people to carry it back to the ship, slowing them down. Also, how can they use the other Infinity Stones without touching them? GOTG2 removed Star Lord's god powers, and the gauntlet is far too big for any of them.
    - Star Lord would eventually find out about Gamora's death. If it happened before Thanos arrived, he may not have thought clearly enough to make that highly-effective plan and simply resorted to just punching Thanos.
    - If Tony Stark died, there might be implications that wouldn't work due to Doctor Strange going back on his original claim ("I will not be afraid to let you (Iron Man) or the kid (Spidey) die") to ensure that Thanos got the Time Stone.
    WAKANDA
    - Anything Thanos does is going to win because he has the time stone.
    OVERALL
    - The butterfly effect is a huge contender. Think about it. Thanos' snap was unbiased and randomly selected people to die. In 14,000,605 futures, a different set of people would die every time. Just imagine if only Tony Stark, Doctor Strange and Star Lord were the only ones left from the roster. Or all the Avengers died. Or only Groot... That would not leave good odds! So in order for them to win, the right set of people had to dust.

      If its heavy howd spidey almost get it off and iron man has a suit with rockets and dr.strange said there was no other way and that foreshadowed avengers endgame my theory is that dr.strange fave the avengers the infinity stone and my other theory is that when antman was stuck in a different realm the avengers needed another super hero in the realm to time travel and my other theory is that the avengers got back together. Because all the avengers had someone close to them die and my theory is that the avengers needed something traumatic to happen to them and another theory is that some of the avengers die and couldn't be reversed and dr.strange stopped thanos from the snap until only the original avengers survived the snap and antman joined the avengers and i have an idea what if antman was in infinity war and threw the shrinking things and shrinked the gaunlet well it was on thanos or shrinked thanos

      Thanos says something like "You've earned my respect, Stark. I'm going to let half of humanity live." (Not verbatim) This implies that Thanos has some level of control over who lives and who dies. Perhaps Dr. Strange was able to tell what would influence Thanos to let certain people live and certain others not; perhaps the 1 on 1 between Stark and Thanos, earning Thanos' respect was what let Thanos decide Stark should live, likely a necessity to victory.

    I have a theory of my own. Everyone is so focused on Dr. Strange looking into the future that we forget with the time stone, he was able to see into the past as well. I think that even though the movie didn't show it that he'd be a fool not to do that.
    So that brief conversation on Titan was more than Dr. Strange stalling. I think he was gathering information. The one key thing that Thanos said that could change everything was the answer to the question.. "And then what?" Thanos said that "I'd finally rest and watch the Sun rise on a grateful universe". That means that he would believe that he'd won and that would be the 1st time that he truly let his guard down.
    I don't think that Dr. Strange could win by changing current events. He had to let it play out. But what if he had already set in motion events to be changed in the past, where Thanos wasn't looking. Now we got a chance to effect events in ways Thanos wouldn't be prepared for.
    That's what I think happened when he have Thanos the time stone. If you look, it was glowing. Which means that it was active. Any stone glows when it is being used or is in standby to be used.
    I believe that Dr. Strange saw that all the events had to play out a certain way to get Thanos to let his guard down so that he could allow the events that he changed in the past time to catch up. And Tony, being the smartest Avenger, would be instrumental in that happening, which is why he needed him to live.
    That's just my opinion. I don't have any proof but it makes sense to me. Change the past somehow to beat him in the future. That's my theory as to what's going to happen and why Dr. Strange allowed everything to happen the way that it did. What do you all think? Leave a comment. And share what things you think he would have to change to give them the victory.

      We've seen him use the stone to rewind, and he goes with it. How does he rewind if he is gone in the present and has no stone? All the stones glowed when Thanos grabbed them and put them into the gauntlet.

    • @dorimahu1
      @dorimahu1 6 лет назад +27

      Sean, We don't know all of the capabilities of the stones. I'll give you two examples of the stones being more than we think. 1. When Thanos met the Red Skull, he was told that the soul stone had a certain wisdom to it. That indicates that it's more than just some rock that gives you incite. 2. The space stone allows you to teleport as well as open up portals anywhere in the universe. Question: How does it know where you want to go? So there has to be some connection that you must have to it.
      Now lets look at the time stone. If it remains true that there is more to the other stones than meets the eye, then the same can be said of the Time Stone. You assume that rewinding time is the only thing that the stone lets you do. I think there's more to it than that. I don't think anyone has used any stone to it's fullest potential yet. So it is very possible that Dr. Strange either placed a spell on it before he gave it to Thanos or he learned how to use it in a way that we haven't seen yet. And remember: I said that it was just a theory. But remember, in X- men D.O.F.P They were able to send Wolverine's consciousness back in time to change events while his body remained. Who's to say that the time stone doesn't let you do something similar? We'll find out when the next movie comes out.

    I do think Tony needs to think he's going to die on the ship to get into the right mind state. But that wasn't the lie. I don't think Dr. Strange actually died. I think he faked his death using trickery like sorcerers tend to do. At least with the ancient one, she couldn't see past her own death. So for Dr. Strange to see these futures, he can't be dead.

    I actually thought that Thanos isn't the main villain in this whole thing and that the real threat will surface later. More powerful beings than Thanos have already been established. But it is essential that Thanos lives for that AND reverses his actions willingly, having come to the understanding that his way was the wrong one.
    Killing Thanos is actually relatively easy as shown in the movie and I think that Strange knows that they need Thanos as one of the only beings in the universe being able to control all stones without dying instantly.
    So I think Thanos will switch sides and reverse his actions willingly but none of the Avengers would have understood that or allowed it to happen even if Strange told them.
    Plus I predict Thanos will sacrifice himself and come to peace with Gamora before he dies.

Thor aiming for the head and not the chest on the final blow, starlord not getting personal when they where taking the gauntlet off of him, captain America and the other people (im bad with names) in the beginning when they saved vision and his wife/GF or whatever she is from getting the mind stone taken out of his head, they could of killed the 2 enemies while they could because if they would have, vision wouldn't of gotten stabbed in the chest with a sword at the end when captain America came in to save him, therefore he may not of been crippled to the fact that he couldn't move so he could of possibly hid from thanks and got away. All that is just boring.

      They're entertaining but you're overhyping it a little. Just recently they released a theory about the Hulk and Loki that comments were quick to prove wrong over and over and over again.

    With 'End Game' a week away, I have seen plenty of theories. Wish I would have seen yours when you first posted. I think you are spot on!

      The only thing I learned from this video was the log theory lol, other than that everything else I figured during the movie.

    I read a theory that since the time stone was glowing when Strange have it to Thanos, it was actively being used. Strange sent the time stone to the future (ostensibly when/where Tony would find it and figure out how to use it) and then when he "manifested" it out of thin air, it was simply being sent back from the future to fulfill the plan. It could also explain why the glove got damage when thanos snapped, because there were two time stones, and could be the reason Thanos is now vulnerable.

      That's an awesome theory.

      That would be going against the natural flow of time also breaking the time continuum

      Russo brothers confirmed strange didn't use the stone that particular moment.

      If they sent the stone back there wouldn’t be two stones lol. 1 stone.

    Strange has a plan to win and it involves everyone dying and letting Tony live. I just saved you 16 minutes of rambling.

    Dr. Strange created a duplication paradox, much like in Back To The Future when there were two Marty Mcflys, there are now two time stones. one of which he gave to Thanos and the other he used to time shift away and give the illusion of his death.Only the time stone can undo what has been done, so it has to be duplicated in some way. (only my theory)

      I think you're on to something.. I believe something quite similar but possibly with Ant-Man being the paradox/catalyst.

    • @warrenpeas
      @warrenpeas 5 лет назад

      then why not duplicate the time stone many many times?

    • @warrenpeas

      i no longer believe a time trick is going to undo the snap
