Great post, Scotty. Glad to see a little more history in your posts. The evolution of the automobile is a great subject: one worthy of admiration. I know. I've had the finest of cars in both aesthetics and performance. Even my dad's stories I smile whenever I remember them. He had some good ones. I'm sure your dad did too.

I work in Software Engineering industry. We use use The concept SCRUM on daily basis to start operations and reach to the deliverable product. The the SCRUM is nothing but the incremental production introduced by TOYOTA. Also we use methodology named LEAN to identify and remove wastes (time and resource wastage especially) is again introduced by TOYOTA.
Great company, great minds, great ideas !!!

Fantastic video Scotty. My Grandfather worked at the Cowley BMC plant in Oxford UK, in the early 1960s with launching the Mini. The workers would strike and stop working for any reason. One day half the factory stopped because they didn't have chocolate biscuits like the other side of the factory.

If you want a real truck you buy American! Plain and simple. If you want a car with a bed that hauls groceries and people you get whatever you want. Tacoma works fine for that. Good luck hauling or towing any real loads.

My father in law’s tundra is a beast and hauled his rv just fine and is still going with no major issues many years later. Considering he’s done virtually zero maintenance, wrecked it multiple times & I can’t remember the last time he changed the oil I’d say it’s been a damn good truck.
