The Jets need a coach who has a history of developing Quarterbacks. They failed to coach Geno, Darnold, Wilson, and even Sanchez properly. At a certain point, it’s not about drafting the wrong player but being unable to develop talent properly.

As long as you mean what you wrote - "coach", not "head coach". Otherwise you have Freddie Kitchens.

Exactly ..as a long suffering Bills fan I don’t think the Jets would’ve developed Allen and in years past I don’t think the Bills would’ve . But having Daboll as his OC was essential to him gaining confidence and not turning into a RB first QB

I understand the talk of using a 1st rd pick on a QB, but i also think a possibility would be using a 1st rd pick on a center. We need the next Jim Sweeney, Kevin Mawae, or Nick Mangold. A guy who wll be steady and reliable and will anchor the O-Line for years to come.

I'm glad the Jets missed the playoffs. I'm a Giants fan it was very annoying to hear the Jets were almost a sure thing to win the superbowl. The jets are a hot dog team. They celebrate every good play like they won the Superbowl. My Giants have 4 Superbowl wins. Saleh ran his mouth. He said he embarrassed opposing quarterbacks. The jets embarrassing quarterback situation might have 5 quarterbacks play this year.

    • @Observe555

Nowhere near enough blame goes to the offensive line. It's always the quarterback or their coach or their offensive coordinator. It's the O-Line. Or blame the GM who didn't address it.

@@matta6395 100%! Say what you want about Rex with the boasting and the feet and the whole deal, but the Jets actually had an identity during his time here. They've never had that before or since. Maybe he can improve on his handling of the offense being out of the game for a while. the Jets are never going to attract someone with prior quality HC experience, so it's either they catch lightning in a bottle with an unknown (unlikely) or they go back to someone who's had some success and actually WANTS to be here. That last part is very valuable because the Jet job is the worst job in the NFL, by far. You come in here and you've got a closet, basement, garage, attic and guest house full of demons to contend with.

I’m still on the Douglas Saleh train. They have drafted and signed some great players. Throw this year away. They wanted to know if Zach could develop. He did but not enough. O Line let them down with injuries. Not their fault. Get a new line coach and plug up some of the o line holes. Draft or sign a 1B receiver. And look to sign a vet qb. Demote hacket and hire a new oc. Look to draft a qb late rounds and develop this draft or next.

Mentioning other teams who have backups playing well is pointless unless you sign the other team’s offensive coordinators and bring their lines.
Browning is 27 and was thrown to the scrap pile by the Vikings.
Now he’s the next big thing….with good receivers, good running backs and some time to throw lol
