I loved the Scene.. looked forward to watching the dancers, they were incredible and “80” stylish 💋❤️. Started dancing on there myself during 1981-84 in HS. GREAT times then and in Detroit growing up. Miss those days....🥰🥳🎉!

Ah haha My body still remembers those moves. I can still do those Scene moves. The only dance that gave me problems was the shake. Any Detroit heads remember when Cheryl Peoples and Lorenzo went on Dance Fever and turned it out doing the shake? Then they really went bonkers when Cheryl did the splits and started walking across the stage while still in full splits position.

@@lifeworksndhenterprisesllc6597 I didn't know Lorenzo as fast Freddy but if he's gone, I'm sorry to hear it. We went way back to Highland Park. You can find the Soul train show we were on by finding the scramble which was "Jermaine Stuart" I unscrambled lol Also Typical male by Tina Turner was one of the songs we danced to lol. Sheryl and Lorenzo won cars and cash in L.A. Bobby and Sheryl were partners on the scene Bobby was a super kool guy. I hope where ever he's at, he's happy. It was sad to hear about Roni.

I got refused twice at the door as a dancer. First time I went by myself, next with a date; you’ll notice there aren’t many white folk on the show, most especially Men. Both times I wore my WilliWear suit, looked fantastic, was told so. Still no though. A couple of folks did mention something about my having very large eggs for even trying.

It is really sad that in 2015 we don't have any mainstream black dance shows anywhere on television which has been supplanted by music videos. Young black millennials have no interest in preserving black culture and they shun things like this.

it's not a black thing, MTV dropped beachhouse and max headroom. But the saucy jazzy rambunctious groover music still lives on and tests itself against the dancefloor to this very day. Trust me, I have seen it, DANCING FOR FUN IS REAL.
