    Just ordered mine! I was fishing around for a used CC121 but the few remaining ones on the secondary market are priced beyond all reason. Qube Audio has made what looks to be a great alternative. Who needs that flying fader anyway?!

    This looks fantastic. As die-hard Cubase/Nuendo user this is so tempting. I currently use the Softube Console 1 and Fader. The only thing I'd miss switching to this controller is a motorized fader. Adding 1-4 motorized faders would be beautiful.

    Just got my Mobi One and I couldn’t be more pleased. Shipping was unbelievably fast. I can already tell that, because of the intelligent layout of controls, I am going to to have little trouble developing a good muscle memory on this unit. Of course, this will translate into greater speed and less looking at the controller itself. With headphones on, the bypass buttons give good tactile feedback. The rotary encoders are lightly detented which also yields fingertip feedback. I haven’t had time to explore modes 2-3 yet but it leaves me wondering what other possibilities await? I am using this with Cubase 12 Pro -clearly, mode 1 was developed specifically with Cubase in mind.

    Dial speed button... excellent, this is what's missing from midi controller keyboards. It's always buried in the setting but we often need to switch it depending what we're controlling.

      I just ordered mine recently and it shipped to the U.S. so fast I wasn’t even expecting it on my doorstep. I use it in conjunction with a Monogram CC which gives me faders for MIDI expression, etc. Mobi One handles the heavy lifting in Cubase, although I still am on the learning curve. I never ride faders (normally I write automate fader levels as needed) so not having a flying fader is no big deal for me - in fact, it is kind of a plus, because when I am navigating lots of tracks I don’t want a hyperactive fader distracting me. I am in no way sponsored by Qube Audio. I’m just a fan of this guy who has built a much needed alternative to the CC121 using an Arduino; that is also a feature that I feel bodes well for future growth and development. The Cubase community should spread the news and quit paying insane prices for CC121s that are older than sone classic outboard compressors and EQs.

      A second module, is in the planning, to use alongside the Mobi One, this will feature a motorised fader.

    • @stevebelgrave
      @stevebelgrave Год назад +1

      @@qubeaudio9816 Good call not adding motorised faders to this unit but adding it as an extension. You can take this strip on the road without having to worry about a power supply. The motorised extension will obviously need one :)
      I need something to replace my CC121 which gets used alongside the SSL UC1 and UF8. They compliment each other. It was always a shame that the CC121 missed so many functions of the channel strip. I'll be trying this out for sure.
