The first thing any Mini 2 drone owner should do is remove the stickers from the motor arms. They are extra weight and the ends are loose so they probably will affect the aerodynamics of the drone. Good video. Thanks!

I saved this for future reference being day two of flying. Great reference vid, well done. The mini 2 is such a fascinating device. I found myself being a bit nervous yet excited flying it. I love new experiences like this. Simple yet a bit complicated.

nice video although the settings have changed a little - you can configure fn button for single or double tap. its handy for switching between FPV and follow mode.
one thing - in the map section it mentions that the map shows the location of the pilot. But this is not the pilot - it is the previously saved home location. Important to remember if you’re walking about while flying …

-- Have had my Mini 2 for 2 days. Going through videos/documentation before first flight, so I haven't seen the setting, but my phone charges (Samsung S22) seemingly by default.

Great video. I wish I could mess around with the settings without connecting everything (controller and drone.) Am I missing something? I would like to just launch the app and see these adjustments, but nothing shows up unless I'm connected to the thing.
Unfortunately, you need to have the drone and controller setup with your phone connected if you want to tweak settings.
@@DansTubeTV That's what I figured. I just got mine, so my experience should get better. I also can never Take Off where I live. It's so frustrating to ask permission (sometimes via website) EVERY time I try to fly. My other RC stuff I just plugged in a battery and flew. This is a bit too much control on their part IMO.

I haven’t used the EXO so I can’t comment. The Mini 2 is an awesome drone, Litchi just made it possible for pilots to plan waypoints and use following modes with the Mini 2: ruclips.net/video/vn7HdrGuiyE/видео.html
Charging phone on android work , I don't remember if I add to turn it on but my phone ( s20) dose charge wile flying
On Android, charging automatically happens. It is only on iOS devices that you have to enable charging each time 🔋
Any chance on a tip on how to get the best quality uploading footage to facebook?
Uploading a raw video from the drones micro sd straight onto Facebook would be your best bet. If you need to edit some footage then try to keep the footage as uncompressed as possible. Facebook will compress the video again once you upload so the rawer, the better 🦁

You might need to make sure that sound is enabled through your phones settings and your phone is not on mute 🔕
Compass calibration has to be before every flight?
Not every flight. The app will give you a prompt if you need to calibrate.

You can still use RTH on a WI-FI only iPad. It is all built into the drone technology 🚀🏠

Hi!!!!! I just bought mini 2 combo and before my first flight, I watched many videos about ''advanced gimball settings''. I dont know if it's a dumb question, but I''ll take the risk. So, in your cinemode settings in ''advanced gimball settings I see this menu: for examble ''spitch speed 15''. In my menu everything is in this way. '' pitch speed 15°/s or yaw speed 30°/s. Is this the same or I'm doing something wrong??? 🤔
That does sound different, it has something to do with the measurements in your settings. Look through your settings to change this, or go to Google and convert the measurements into something that you understand?

I saw in other videos, users of the mini 2 have the same features as me. So I came to the conclusion that this is probably a functional issue of dji software. My version is 1.4.2. Tip 13 - button customization, I am in the US and while I have the two options single and double tap, they both do the same, I am unable to modify either to what you have...any ideas or is this a US / EU thing or Android vs iOS?
That’s weird. I don’t know about that one 🤔 maybe just a bug? Or exclusive to certain regions? Hopefully you get that feature soon!

Hi can you help please? I have a mini two , and two battery lights are on and a red light on the drone I can’t get it to go green
Red lights on the arms is normal. Red lights on the battery is not good, look through the battery info ℹ️ on the app. Make sure that you charge the batteries completely and try taking the drone off and seeing if the lights on the arms change.

Keep your drone in line of sight and you never have to worry about this. You can view the location of your drone through the map -> find my drone.
I'm missing the compass in the middle of the screen. Has an update removed it or is there an option to toggle it on and off?

No, not like the Mini 2.
My videos are only 30 seconds long, how do you set the video length ?
You might be in the wrong shooting mode, if you select video from your mode selection then the video will continue capturing until the SD card is full.
Once I installed DJI Fly app on my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge. For some reason, I reset my phone. But in my phone memory the DJI Fly app's folders were not deleted. After resetting I installed again the app and fly my DJI Mini 2. But no flight record files were not recorded in FlightRecord folder. Now what can I do or how can I delete all folders and reinstall DJI Fly app.
That is very confusing. I would recommend contacting DJI directly. They will be able to help you 😁
Just be aware Find My Drone will NEVER work when you crash, every major crash I've had the GPS claimed it was MILES from where it was. And start flashing and beeping doesn't work when the drone is off / inverted etc too. I suggest putting an Apple Airtag or Tile on your drone if you want to be able to recover it, the onboard recovery system is unreliable at best, dismal at worst.
Ahhh, good advice. I’ve mounted an AirTag to my previous drones but I’ll have to do the same for my Mavic 3 🚀
Be aware that doing this will (depending on the weight of the tag) take your drone over 250 grams which may require you to obtain different drone registration 'permits' /licences depending on what country your in.
Why is alto fire zone 150m for me I have that problem I can’t go higher can you help me
150m is the legal height that you can fly at 🚀

I have a mini 2 and have no option but 2.4. 5.8 and dual aren't even listed....I dont get it
Hmm 🤔 it should go to dual band when you select auto in the transmission menu.
Why my mini 2 only shows me 1080 ot I don't have the 4k ?
Try different settings and modes, the 4K option should be available when you are recording videos 📷

I have no idea WHY hasn't the manufacturer made as a default thing. What on Earth is the reason to NOT have that?!?!
Using the same logics DJI could easily have made propeller usege as an additional option, and not default. ("Well, normally you can just sit down on the ground, and shoot video or picture; then if you realy like it, you can actually use this special feature and move the propellers to lift this thing in the air...")

My only complaint about the mini 2 is that they didn’t make the controller with screen with the mini 2. I’ve been using my drone non stop the past week, I’ve got like 68 flights after having this thing for only a couple weeks. And guess what, my time is spent half flying and half figuring out how to charge my dang phone and drone batteries at the same time. I guess I need a second fast charger but dang this DJI app drains your battery so fast,
Yes! The DJI Fly app can definitely drain your phone battery. You can enable the phone charging setting (iOS) and Android charges your phone by default.
Hello Sir ...I a have question I've had my mini 2 up a few times now....but I still haven't gotten my compass to show in the middle of the screen... can you tell me what I'm doing wrong here...appreciate the feedback
They might have removed this with later firmware updates. I haven’t flown my Mini 2 recently so I haven’t noticed anything. Try updating to the latest firmware otherwise it might have been removed.

The only limiting factor to this drone is the fact it uses your phone as a screen. When I’m using my drone I don’t want my super capable phone incapable of anything but being used as a screen. It drains the phone battery so fast. Also, the controller to phone charging option is not that great. It doesn’t necessarily charge your phone it just trickles a charge. I found that a full controller battery is capable of charging your phone about 30%
I’ve never had major issues using my phone as the display. I would suggest the new DJI RC but it is only available for Mini 3 Pro and Mavic 3.
