I've got to say, this video actually does spell out some useful features on the Mini 2 without any clickbait nonsense. Just because some of them appear in the config interface doesn't mean DJI took the time to explain them in detail. This video DID flesh them out with real life scenarios where you'd want to use them. Excellent work! That's why I'm a subscriber.

Dude! I've watched so many hours of vidz on this drone and also read the manual, so I clicked on your vid expecting to learn nothing new. Wow, was I wrong. I kept pausing to rewind and in the end started up my drone and tried a few out. This is a terrific "how to" vid even for those who think they know everything about operating their drone. @@ranranpoopants the pro is abit better but the mini2 means you can fly it more in spaces you can't with the mavic Pro and much more portable and its price makes the mini2 a perfect drone. Mini3 is now here and more expensive but it's supposed to be even better and still under 250 grams
Just got my drone last week. Had a few connection problems so had to drive an hour and half to sort the problem then return. I just saw this. Last week I was on the mountains without charche in the phone. I used the dock station as power banck wish I had known about charging it with the remote. Thank you!
Really appreciate those tips. I've been flying Mini 2 for almost one year, but did not know some useful tips. Camera up, RTH filming and emergency stop button for example. Many thanks.
Thanks for your blog…and…the phone video tip is great 👍🏽…I did not know I could switch between the two cameras 🎥…thanks for the tip…I will now use it…😃👍🏽
Another good vid and thank you for posting. I'm sure they are some that know the "secret settings" BUT that isn't the point, this vid is for the majority that don't know these settings....Many thanks again for posting a very informative vid.
Appreciate the tips some of them I was already aware of but being able to disable payload mode during flight was one that I was not. I typically fly over 249g, (landing struts and anti-collision lights and depending on the scene I am shooting, prop guards) so having to be limited to 100ft altitude and 50ft distance was annoying for me. The aircraft is already FAA registered so legality is not an issue.
Well done mate, thanks for sharing those tips, especially the one on the pause button. I knew it makes the drone stop whatever it's doing (quickshots, RTH, auto-landing, etc.) but I didn't know it also works as an emergency brake, can't wait to test it by flying straight into a helicopter on sport mode, I'm sure the pilot will have a proper laugh
I don’t know if you’ll ever read this but I have to say it. Thank you for getting to the point and not boring me with a 30 to 45 second introduction about how awesome you are. To the point and informative. 👍🏻
That VLC metadata tip is amazing! Thanks! I'm a brand new pilot and this is my first drone other than a toy in the house. It's crazy to admit, but flying FPV freaks me out. :) This thing is easy to fly but judging the depth and position of objects on a phone screen is really difficult for me as a beginner. Also my own height against trees, light poles, etc. when the gimble is aimed anywhere other than zero. I'm practicing in my back yard, which is small, and has some good obstacles for practice. But I find I think I'm about to hit something when I'm not, and MUCH WORSE, think I'm clear of things when I'm not. An example of this is flying past the corner of my house, where I think I'm beyond the corner but I'm really not. Also becoming space-aware of objects above me and to the sides is tricky. To hopefully help with this I have ordered a clip that will allow me to use an iPad Mini instead of the iPhone 12 Pro. I hope it helps. I'm sure I'll get used to it with practice but it's nerve-wracking! :)
try swithing to a tablet with a data plan. i purchased a current 12.5" and a six foot type c to type c. now i set the tablet on the picnic table. no more screen mounted to controller. much easier to see , ill never go back to the phone screen
Awesome. My real phone does not fly the mini so I bought a used iPhone 8 and keep it with the controller. Problem was sending pics to my customers and my tether is not a usb C. Using the bluetooth to transfer the photos to my real phone to send off in a text is a massive time saver.
